I have been to my fair share of breakfast places, but nothing has topped this one. I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and waited for about 20 minutes and it was totally worth it. I got a grilled cinnamon muffin which was to DIE for... highly suggest trying. For my meal, I got the Southern Benedict Dish (biscuits and gravy topped with sausage and scrambled eggs) and it was probably the best breakfast dish I have ever eaten. I saw this place many times driving by for various reasons, when it was open it was packed always. I got up early this morning and decided to go check it out. If you cannot stand crowds this may not be for you, or get here when they open at 730 AM. If you expect to get in and out in a hurry, this may not be for you. If you like to enjoy your breakfast then this is your place to go. This place is like a typical diner, but they do tons of omelets, eggs benedicts, and other breakfast items. I decided to try a frittata and of course coffee. The coffee was plentiful and fresh, also they ask you before they warm your coffee up. Also the coffee cups are not the thick ones that make your coffee cold immediately after it is poured into the mug, this always drives me nuts, the mugs are perfect for a good cup of coffee. It also drives me nuts when you got the coffee just the way you want it they come and mess it up. The frittata was plentiful, but not a true frittata, not going to hold them accountable for it because it is difficult to make correctly or well because they are more like a cross between a quiche and a omelet that is served open faced. Also they have daily and seasonal specials and I did not see anyone who ordered a bad meal, I think I am going to try out their pancakes next time because they looked perfect. These guys are little short staffed at the moment, but you could hardly tell. There are plenty of regulars and I can understand why. First time going with my wife and daughter. We went around 12 on a Wednesday so I wasn't expecting to wait. There were still a lot of people in the restaurant. Restaurant is small and quaint. They have really nice decorum and the staff are all friendly and prompt. I did not have to wait for anything. The food was fantastic and fresh. The quality of the veggies were amazing and the flavor of everything we tried was great. For three meals and some extras it was only $49 and I would've paid more. I had heard of The Brunchery after moving to the area late last year. Tried it out for the first time this morning and wasn't disappointed. The selection is huge and reasonably priced. I tried the Western omelette with the hash browns and it was delicious. The portions were large and the omelette was stuffed with ham, onions and peppers. The hash browns were fantastic as well. My wife had the Southern skillet and loved it. Service was fantastic and the manager even came around to make sure everything was good. We will definitely be back. read more

If you are a 55+ female, sharing any of the 3 egg omelette is enough really! A tip for us northerners, the portions are larger than expected so try to to tamp down our tendency to over reach. Lol! There were 4 of us and we over ordered. For example, the strawberry waffles came with a pint of sliced fresh strawberries, I swear, no exaggeration! In MD this would mean 3-6 (at most) half ripe tasteless berries. In strawberry land FL it's an entirely different story. The omelets are humongous and stuffed full of whatever meat ordered. A side order of bacon is enough for 4 to share. LORDY! For coffee, I am a 1 cup a day, half decaf drinker. The 2 Starbucks multiple cups per day coffee drinkers said the coffee was weak. For me the coffee was strong. Hard to please all your customers all the time, if our table is representative of the general population. Give this place a try and plan to skip a meal that day is a good strategy. read more

Initially I wanted the Meat Lovers Omelette but the waitress steered me (reluctantly) toward the Skillet which I didn't see on the menu. I was torn about how to rate The Brunchery. This was my third visit. If I left a review after the first visit it would have been one star. Food is amazing but service can be hit or miss. The first visit was on a Saturday and it was very busy. We waited forever for everything table, drinks, our food. Our waitress never came back and checked on us after taking our order. Our food came out lukewarm. I waited a bit for our waitress to come and check on us so I could tell her but she never came back. I went ahead and ate it. I was starving and even with it being semi cold it was delicious. Our waitress never even came back to bring us our check. We had to flag someone down to get it. Then when we were paying the girl at the front counter asked how our meal was. I told her it would have been better if it was warm. She asked if I told our waitress and I told her we never saw her. She then replied oh. She then paused and told us our total. She didn't even offer an apology. I was so annoyed. I vowed to never return. Then my husband asked to go again. He really liked the chipped beef. He said he wanted to try it again and see if maybe we had better luck. So we returned. The food came out warm and it was even more delicious. We ordered the chopped beef and blackberry stuffed French toast. Service started out better but then they got busy and it seems to fall apart. Today we left after our third visit. Food was once again amazing and today we had he beat service. Probably because it was 9:30 on a Tuesday. It wasn't busy. So to sum it up the food is amazing. Service is hit or miss. If you go and they are busy be prepared for poor service. However the food was so good even after getting such terrible service we returned. read more

There's so many items on the menu that I want to try that I know I'll be coming back regularly. The last time I was here I has the Eggs Florentine and everything was cooked to perfection. I really appreciated the diversity in the sides that they offered (home fried, hash browns and tomato slices). We found out about The Brunchery on Facebook and it exceeded our expectations! The service was amazing. From the moment we walked in until we left everyone was friendly and nice. Emily kept our drinks full, she was constantly checking on us and she was very pleasant! The food was hot and delicious! The menu has lots of choices. We figured out after we ordered that the chalkboards on the walls have additional specials which were not on the menu. They should put those specials on a menu insert. We loved the grits since they came seasoned and tasted different than just plain grits, almost a fluffy cheesy taste to it. The servings are big and we had leftovers along with many others in the restaurant. We would definitely come back and recommend it to others. read more

We had one of the worst experiences ever at a restaurant!! Server staff was good, food was excellent, but the manager/ owner was absolutley horrible. My wife wasn't happy with an omelette that she had ordered and when the manager/ owner came to the table, he was extremely confrontational and caused my wife to lose her appetite. Instead of asking how he could help he simply belittled her and tried to make her feel stupid. The order was made right, but she didn't eat. She asked to have it removed but again was belittled by the same man who just exploded on her in front of many customers sitting and waiting to be seated. Based on everything that happened, it's obvious that he doesn't care about customers and is literally only concerned about bottom line. It's a shame, because the food was excellent, but we definitely will not return. read more

We just left from breakfast here. I will say that our service was as good as it could be given the fact that the kitchen is taking forever!!! Our server checked on us often assuring the food would be out soon. Sadly as we were leaving there was another customer who had also experienced the "slow service", which will translate to most as the server was doing a bad job; that's not the case here. It was all the kitchen. My husband heard the owner/manager (I am not sure if it was the owner or the manager) ask the man who his server was, I really hope that they are assessing the whole issue and not blaming the "slow service" on the server. The food was mediocre at best. Portions were decent. The prices are high. I don't mind paying for good food, so we won't be back. PS the same owner/manager cut in front of me when I was walking up to pay with my husband and I said "excuse me" and he didn't even acknowledge. Just not a pleasant experience other than our servers who were all very sweet. ***Update to prior review above*** 1/1/20 - Date of second visit So we tried again. Last time. Whole pieces of bacon in my omelet, also what appeared to be not well drained frozen spinach and canned tomatoes, again not well drained. Asked for onions in my hash browns but they came with out so my server had me move them to another plate to take back to the kitchen so what was retuned to me was extremely over cooked strings of potatoes dripping in grease with some onions in them. My husband's home fries had onions in them but he didn't order them. He had biscuit and gravy with very little gravy. PS - everything written above where I posted the date 1/1/20 was a prior visit as I could only edit my review not leave a new one. The information provided below the date 1/1/20 is a second experience at this establishment. The owner responded to my updated review and stated that he doubted the same exact thing happened twice. So I want to clarify that this is two different visits the most recent denoted by the date - both less than desirable dining experiences. And the exact same thing did not happen twice. He also assured me that the tomatoes weren't canned, and so to that I say they were old if they weren't canned. read more
