I was excited to finally try this location, which is closer to home! So glad my friend and I stopped in after our workout. I went to the original location, a while back, but hadn't been able to go back. The inside is decorated simple and nice with a good amount of seating options available. It seemed to be more spacious than the other location. The staff was kind and attentive. We ordered the Jessie's grits, lemon, ricotta, pancakes, and fish with a side of regular grits. Everything was absolutely delicious! The grits were the perfect amount of creaminess. The fish was fried to perfection with a flavorful batter. The lemon ricotta pancakes were our fave! The lemon and ricotta flavor was not overpowering. It was an amazing combination with the light and airy syrup they provided. It was definitely a fantastic meal to have after a great workout! Very well deserved. We have been talking about it since we've left, and hope to go back soon!

Another great breakfast at Himes. Excellent service as usual. Pancakes were a little heavy for those who enjoy them lighter. Otherwise the food was great.

Stopped in with some family. Service was super quick since I was just a tad late. There's PLENTY of space including indoor and outdoor options. The servers were very polite, super helpful, and offered themselves more than once if you need anything additional. I ended up having egg whites with onions and peppers, English muffins, and a fruit cup. The egg whites were really good, I only added some peppers and onions to it and put some black pepper on it. I may have been the only one to finish their plate. Lol. I put some jelly on the English muffin, and the Arnold Palmer with u sweet tea was really good as well. I'd come back for a quick bite.

It was a Tuesday when I stopped it, but it felt "easy like Sunday morning." Himes Breakfast House (and I've now been to all three locations) is consistently bright and light-super clean-with an energy from the color scheme. It's not cozy exactly-it's a little minimalist for that-but it's welcoming and comfortable. It's a large dining space, with their mug collection in the front windows-and at least one large vintage Tampa photo on the wall. When I got there, it wasn't busy--but it was by the time I left. The menu is a big draw. They have a large and yummy selection. I've had excellent pancakes and the absolutely fantastic bananas foster French toast. This time I went savory and ordered the build your own omelet. It came with one meat, one veggie, one cheese. I went with bacon, feta and spinach. Ohh, it was good---and massive!! I mean, big!! I was full for days! The omelet came with potatoes or grits and toast. I also ordered bacon on the side. I wasn't a huge fan of the potatoes, but that's just me. I loved the bacon and the wheat toast. I'd definitely order an omelet there again-but there are seven or eight other items I still want to try first. Good thing I live between two locations and work close to the other! But I'll definitely come back here-because of Lexi. What a wonderful server! She's friendly, warm, makes eye contact when she talks with you. She was so good at anticipating my needs-and swooped in with fresh potatoes when she didn't see steam coming off of mine. She wanted to make sure they were warm. WOW! That's tremendous. She also brought me a to go cup of Diet Coke. Lexi is next level...25 stars. Go see her-check out that marvelous menu-morning magic.

I've been to a few of the different locations for this restaurant, but the Riverview location is the best one. They're set up is better. The patio is nicer, but it's always busy. When it's busy, they see you in a pretty good amount of time 10 to 20 minutes when it's a rush. Their cooks are better than the other location as well. I'm sure they all have the same out of the box recipes but they do a little more razzle dazzle at this location. The servers are friendlier too. Now the food - they never miss. Today, I did a build your own omelette with a biscuit and loaded home fries *chef's kiss. If you're ever in the market for breakfast for lunch and you don't want to spend a lot this will do. Not fancy just great for everyday eating.

Himes Breakfast House is a solid breakfast spot overall. The service was mom n pop nice. My food came out fast and everything. I ordered Jessie's famous loaded grits and that was amazinggg. The biscuit was mad soft and easily one of the highlights of the meal. The only downside for me were the pancakes. They were very doughy, almost like they weren't cooked all the way through. I tried one piece but couldn't finish them. That said, everything else I had was enjoyable. I'd definitely come back and just skip the pancakes next time.

The Tampa turnup is real. We are on a 2 day road trip destination clearwater. Wifey was hangry so we decided to go to Himes Breakfast House on Himes st. Angel, our waitress was a delight from start to finish. I ordered corn beef hash which was not on the menu at all. I went with the fried grouper. It was hit and flaky. I wanted French fries but took the home fries instead. Also, I had one of my favs, an English muffin w/ butter and Jelly. Wifey had a staple meal includes eggs, cheese grits and bacon. We were treated like Tampa royalty and it was only breakfast. Himes will always be our breakfast spot when we are in Tampa. I'm glad they have several locations to boot!

Visited this spot with some friends for brunch. They have a great selection of options and it's very family style. Melissa was our server and she was nice and attentive. The space is fairly spacious and the wait wasn't too long at all.

First time there, Saturday after Thanksgiving. Was busy but they had more than enough staff to handle the crowd. The egg sandwich was hot, so important, and the marble rye bread was substantial. Home fries seasoned well. My husband had a breakfast bowl with sausage gravy. Again they did it right. Just the right amount of sausage gravy and hot. Both. Our waitress was on spot! Stopped by our table a few times to check on us. And a manager also stopped to see if we were happy with the meal. Kudos to all at Himes.

Stopped in for breakfast on a Tuesday morning. Was greeted by the manager Kyle. Seated right away. Our server was Valerie. She was a pleasant young lady and very efficient. Menu has most of the typical breakfast and lunch favorites. In addition they offer several unique items and different takes on popular dishes. You can have eggs Benedict's with pork belly, or over a biscuit instead of an english muffin, or southern fried catfish & eggs. Restaurant is brand new location for this chain. Nice and bright interior. Outside covered seating. Plenty of parking out front.

I want to start off by sharing that this gem opened up just 4 days ago and for sure will be come a favorite in the area! It's breakfast food done well-- really well and at a reasonable price. We were seated immediately and Maya took our drink orders, we started off with a mug of coffee and a grapefruit juice! I haven't had grapefruit juice in awhile and it was really good. In the very near future they'll offer mimosas which will be great. Several things on the menu caught our attention- after having a delicious pancake, I'm certain the chicken and waffles will be my next selection here. We decided on the sogs and nogs omelette-- made with 4 eggs with loaded grits and a pancake stack to share! Everything tasted soo good. I loved the hollandaise sauce on the eggs! Pancakes are perfect in my book when they have the crispy edges and these delivered! I loved the taste as well, not super sweet but good on their own with just the butter. I tried the specialty espresso flavored syrup made in house as well as the butter rum flavored syrup. While both were good and different, I think I still prefer the original maple syrup. I would be doing you a disservice if I don't shout out the loaded grits! Sooo creamy! Service was great, the decor is clean and welcoming and even the patrons all seemed to wave and smile at each other, which is nice! I plan on returning soon.

Himes Breakfast House recently opened off Bloomingdale Avenue in Riverview. It is located in Winthrop Shopping Center. When we entered we were greeted by Kyle and immediately seated. The restaurant was very busy for a Tuesday morning. There are tables and booths and there is plenty of seating. The tables can all be pushed together to accommodate large groups as well. This is a big plus! I found the restaurant to be spotless and very bright & cheerful. When we were seated a very sweet server Valerie approached our table. We proceeded to look over the menu and ordered. I ordered the basic benny, which is described on the menu as the following: Two poached eggs over thick cut bacon & an english muffin topped with our house made hollandaise and your choice of home fries or grits. Breakfast was enjoyed by both my husband and I. The one thing I will add is the coffee was HOT which we very much enjoyed. I find at many breakfast joints the coffee is never hot, it's usually lukewarm at best. So we really appreciated that. We will definitely be returning in the future to try other items off the menu. This restaurant also offers outside seating. We really hope this restaurant succeeds, it's a great addition to the Winthrop Shopping Center! I highly recommend you give them a try. I think you will be happy you did!

We stopped by here for breakfast when we were on the east side of Tampa. It's located at the front of a large shopping area with plenty of free parking to be found. Genesis was our server, and she was incredibly friendly, fast, and efficient. The food is southern inspired. I had a simple egg breakfast with grits and bacon. It was delicious! Their grits are amazing! The coffee is tasty, and they have the good Coffeemate creamers, like hazelnut and Irish cream. You must try their espresso infused maple syrup. It's soooo good!

All day long. Any cooked vegetable dish is a great side. I haven't tried their cornbread or any gluten options. Aside from the pies. I would die for you...

The breakfast was good and they had a nice variety of options. Of course I stuck with the things I normally eat and everything was pretty good. Nothing was extremely amazing except for the potatoes! Those potatoes were PERFECT. I wish I could eat them every day for breakfast! And I can't forget the sweet tea! I'm a sucker for a good homemade sweet tea and theirs definitely hit the spot. Of course I had to get one to go too! The decor was also really cool with the vintage theme. It was kind of nostalgic seeing a buffet since those have been out of style for so long. I also really appreciated the glove station they have for when you're going through the buffet. Not having to touch all the utensils after everyone else is definitely something I noticed and thought was a great touch. Overall, I enjoyed my breakfast and I would definitely go back again!
