Usually this is my favorite place for breakfast but on today's visit they were a little off their game. Service seemed a bit slow. I ordered the meat lovers omelette with biscuit and home fries but was told they were out of biscuits @ 10:30 am. How is that possible? I ended up with the Chorizo Omelet, and my wife had the breakfast burrito. Both were spot on for flavor and we walked away stuffed. Very clean bathrooms - a sure sign of a clean kitchen! I just so happened to come across Eggtown while in the area and decided to stop in for a late breakfast. The restaurant was fairly empty but I and a few other tables decided to eat outside as it's such a beautiful day out today. I was stuck between choosing a few dishes, they had all the comfort staples! I ended up ordering the Southern Skillet which did not disappoint! The portion was HUGE, like enough for three people! It came with a biscuit which was buttery and soft. I will definitely be back for their hash omelette. Joanne and I went to Eggtown tonight for dinner. This is my review. I am glad to be able to give a positive review because it is such a wonderful amenity to our community to have a nearby place to have a relaxed, modestly priced, sit down dinner. Please consider supporting this business expansion so that it remains available to us. This does not appear to be an experiment to see how it goes. All of the signs, including outdoor signs, have been updated or replaced to announce that the business is open for dinner. The dining room is too bright. I suggested to server, who passed my comment on, that they should figure out how to dim the lights or turn some of them off. Speaking of the server, she was very friendly, efficient and accommodating. Our server's name was Ava, and she is an immigrant of Greek and Albanian descent, who has been in the United States for 29 years. Ava happily brewed a fresh pot of decaf for us and offered drinks for us to take with us. We were given the regular menu and a dinner supplement. I have attached copies of the dinner supplement and you can see there are varied options--and you can also see how reasonably priced the options are. Portion sizes were great. Too much for us, anyway. I had the fried shrimp platter and the $13.95 price included the shrimp, french fries, sauteed green beans and a really nice dinner salad. Joanne had the chicken salad croissant sandwich. She really liked her sandwich. I liked my dinner but being candid, I would be surprised if the shrimp were breaded in house as opposed to prepared and frozen by the purveyor. I will try something different next time or will have the shrimp grilled. Portions were plentiful. Overall, we had a really enjoyable experience. Had a great experience here with the family today! Thanks to my mother in law treating to us all for a nice brunch! The food was amazing and our waitress was even better (Lugina, I believe)! Given the restaurant's name and prior reviews, I went with what I assumed to be the restaurant's wheelhouse. I special ordered an omelette with American cheese, onions and ham. The egg part of the omelette was paper thin. It was loaded with ham and onions, but there was barely any cheese. As a result, the ingredients were not bound together and when cut, the ham and onions spilled out. In the end, I was eating a bunch of onions and ham. Overall Value - below average. We came here for my mom's birthday. Our waitress was great, very attentive and kind. We didn't have to ask for anything. The food portions were a nice size I don't think any of us were able to finish our plate. The pancakes were okay, the eggs were good and potatoes were good and turkey sausage was good. First time visiting this breakfast spot and it was amazing! Got there soon after opening one Saturday morning and was greeted and seated right away. Eva came out shortly and greeted me with a warm smile. We chatted for a bit and she took my order after steering me towards the avocado omelette. What an amazing gathering of flavors! The home fries were some of the best I've had and had a hint of diced onions and seasoning to keep it flavorful. Coffee was on point. My bill came out to $19.57, which is the norm these days. Finally this restaurant opened. We've been pretty inpatient waiting for this. Well, we missed the opening because it's been open for a month! OMG, what a beautiful place. Open and airy, bright yet warm, modern but comfortable, I love it. Our server, Amanda, was top notch. Friendly and knowledgeable and never did we want for more coffee or iced tea! WTG Amanda!! I ordered a meal of hash (canned not homemade which is fine with me) 2eggs over medium, home fries with onion (exactly how I like them) and a biscuit. My eyes nearly fell out of my head when I saw how large the portion was! I knew immediately I could not eat it all so set half of it aside to take home.
