The "fresh fruit" was clearly not fresh, and the soup tasted like it had been made the day before--and unfortunately, it showed. The quality of the food was extremely disappointing. What made the experience even worse was the management. There was a complete lack of concern about the quality issues, and the way the situation was handled was extremely unprofessional. When customers are paying for a meal, they should be able to expect fresh food and management that actually cares about addressing problems. Ordered take-out through website, menu has a variety of choices. First order: two-egg breakfast with grilled pork chop, home fries and biscuit. Second order: Ultimate omelette with grits plus side orders of bacon and extra biscuit. Both orders were winners -- worth repeating or trying out other menu choices, most definitely a return visit. Food was delicious. Grilled pork chop nice size, well seasoned and tender; home fries good portion & nicely prepared; creamy tasting grits; side of bacon and the biscuits are raised (not flat), nice size, flaky, light and also great tasting. Stopped in for lunch after having labs done. My wife had the shrimp dinner with mashed potatoes and broccoli. She absolutely loved it she gave it 9.1 . I had the pork tenderloin sandwich with fries and coleslaw. The coleslaw was delicious and the fries were seasoned to perfection. Okay so we are trying to reassess where we came from to where we are at now, but this was just bland or just not good. The chicken fried steak was truly not good, I needed to both salt and hot sauce and that still couldn't save it, the hash browns were definitely from a frozen batch and not cooked well. I really like this breakfast spot! First time checking it out. It's a local spot in Brandon. They take call aheads which is nice, especially on a Sunday. The employees are extremely friendly and accommodating. This place reminds me of a small mom/pop diner. The vibes were good and so was the service. Jackie was our server and she was the sweetest! Was planning going fishing on this Saturday morning and there were small craft advisories so we went and had breakfast instead and we just picked the place and Brandon and went and checked it out. It's a little mom and pop place and it was really good. The service was very good as well as the customer service. There's a lot of seating inside and you can also sit outside if need be. We put our order in and received our meals fairly quickly and they're sweet tea was really good. I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast and it was a lot of food. This is one of my go to places. Will keep going back. Food has always been good and consistent. I think this last time might have been due to a new waitress. Went mid morning on a Sunday and got right in. Asked for Kalamata olives in my Greek omelet and was told they didn't have them but did end up getting them in the omelet. My friend asked to add cheese to her omelet and it came with cold shredded cheese thrown on top instead of melted and mixed in. We're out of avocado but that's sort of understandable. Half empty, we were seated immediately and our server was right there offering drinks.mI had coffee, very good and very hot. The food arrived in good time. I thought my omelet small for three eggs but it had lots of stuff. My only beef was it could've been any cheese. Pepper jack should have a little bite, this had none. Hash browns were very good, crispy, just the way I like them. Biscuit was also very good, nice and flaky. Wife didn't like hers as well as I liked mine. I tried the hash, it was almost tasteless. Service was perfect, Jackie takes care of her customers as she provided drinks to go for us. A little pricey at over $30.00 but that seems to be the way things are now. Service is quick and friendly; they have plenty of choices on their menu to please even the most finicky of us. Who doesn't love a good diner? Welcoming, always affordable and familiar. This place was super busy on a Saturday morning but seating was still fast. Tables were cleaned off quick for the next guest. I usually do not like to leave negative reviews but this place was awful! All of the food was under-seasoned, if not outright bad. The eggs were dry and bland. The blueberry waffles were ridiculously expensive for the portion size and somehow tasted like cumin. I ordered the crab eggs Benedict- the taste was fine, but I was constantly having to spit out shells! It was so off putting I only ate half of the dish. Open approximately five years, this diner is a local breakfast/brunch hotspot that is open 7 AM until 2 PM every day but Monday. You'll find VERY FRIENDLY SERVICE here; I'm doubtful there are any strangers. By the time we exited, staffers were referring to me by my first name:) The restaurant is located in a strip mall near a Publix & Tuesday Morning, to name a few. The dining room is split into two halves that offer wooden tables & chairs. There are booths available-- see pics. There's also a covered side patio where dogs are welcome as long as they're leashed-- see pic. The menu is LARGE. One side hosts breakfast items while the other includes lunch items. Breakfast has seven subcategories. Lunch does as well. Limited vegetarian & vegan options are available. Beer is available although it wasn't listed on the menu. We arrived just before noon on a Wednesday; I ordered eggs over medium w/ ham & grits. A biscuit accompanied it. Additionally, I ordered a side of Homemade Corned Beef Hash to go. The eggs & flavorful ham were perfectly cooked-- see pic. The grits had zero flavor, but were very good once I added salt & pepper. The biscuit was good, but a little too doughy. The hash was very good-- not the best I've eaten, but better than many. The cost of my entrée was quite low compared to similar eateries. The daily special of Triple Berry French Toast was very good. My lunch partner added a side of crisp bacon to it which was perfectly cooked. The menu is so large that patrons can stop in often to eat & still not run out of foods to try. Our server (Jacqueline) was EXCELLENT in every way, & surprisingly had worked here just two days. It was apparent that staff looks out for patrons-- even those not seated at their tables. Parking is plentiful, but there is no bike parking. This eatery has only a Facebook page that is not very active. Will we return? When in the area again, YES. I never have had to wait longer than 20 minutes on a busy day. It's has a great atmosphere. The country fried steak is my favorite. The country fried chicken breast is also great. The place it self looked clean, decor very ho-hum. nothing special. That didn't bother me however, we weren't looking for an upscaled place... I ordered the corned beef hash with two over medium eggs and home fries. I had onions added to the home fries. Hash was homemade and was tasteless. Quite disappointed since I love hash. Eggs were cooked well. The home fries were awful. usually home fries are chunks of potatoes but these were thinly sliced potatoes. No bueno. Ate 1/2 left the rest. Fantastic place for breakfast, lunch or both! I highly recommend the Ice Caramel coffee, this is the best coffee drink I've had anywhere in a long time. My companion got the Cinnamon Pancakes, which were huge, fluffy and very flavorful, this was so good adding syrup wasn't even necessary. I got the Triple Decker Rueban sandwich but opted for 2 slices of bread, instead of 3. Overall a geat tasting sandwich with plenty of quality meat. The Mushroom soup is one of the specials this week, it was kinda bland, I don't recommend this. A lot of seating available indoor and on outside/patio area at 11am on a weekday.
