Delicious Bruch food. Wait staff were great and attentive. My only complaint was we were sat a a tiny table. The food we ordered barely would fit on the table. They asked if we wanted to move (as waitresses saw the table was too small for them to place the food dishes on)but we did not want to cause a commotion in the busy restaurant- would have been embarrassing for us. My recommendation is to not sit people at that table or maybe only use it for a single person. Or else get rid of that table completely. It is way too small and it has caused me to not want to go there again as I am afraid they will seat us at that table again. Sorry, but that greatly influenced my review decision. read more

The pecan chicken salad is the only the item I enjoy at The Brunchery, not a big breakfast fan. We ordered each the same, 2 sandwiches that came with size of the bread as an oversized quarter, and the chicken salad was pouring/ spilling out all over the place. It looked like it was runned over by a truck. I asked the server why does is like this, was told they were close to closing and probably the kitchen didn't want to start a new loaf, really. Owner was nowhere to be found, haven't seen in the restaurant the last times there and the servers are rude, like from the previous owner, back to same place which we avoided. The took my sandwich back and brought it with large bread, no cheese and not grilled. Not wanting to wait any longer, I said I'll take it to go and toast at home, they gave me a box and check, could care less. My complaint is they didn't offer to make it right. They don't make anything else we like, this was the last time going, not worth the money for frustration especially when there are several other places that offers better service & food. We mainly went because it's close to home, but I'll drive further to get better food. Thought new owner would make a difference, but seems not. Awesome place for breakfast. They'd easily get 5 stars if it weren't for the mediocre fruit cup I got with my meal. I've been here a couple times when on vacation. Recently I had the Eggs Benedict with mushrooms and it was amazing. The egg was perfectly poached and it was just delicious. Coffee was good and service was attentive. The fruit thing wouldn't be a big deal but it was one of their advertised specials. If it's being touted as a special please make sure the fruit is fresh and tastes good! read more

4.5 stars really. My wife and I tried this place last week and we are glad we did! This place is fantastic! It's locally owned and the staff was extremely friendly. The restaurant is very clean and the décor is up-to-date (and not hideous). Some of the highlights are the coffee - one of the best cups I've had in a while; the quality of food and the portion sizes. I ordered the steak benedict (a spin on eggs benedict). It was amazing! I really loved the hollandaise sauce they make for this dish. In fact, The Brunchery has about 6-8 menu items that are spins on eggs benedict. I highly recommend the steak benedict though. Our young boys got the pancakes - they were homemade and in the shape of mickey mouse, which tells me two things: they make their food in-house, and they care about their customers to go the extra step and do that for children. Here's why it doesn't get 5 stars (and I fell bad, but that's life). While the wait staff was extremely nice and helpful, they were a little delayed in refilling coffee and getting condiments that we asked for. I shouldn't have to flag down a waitress for more coffee after 4-5 other waitresses walk by our table without noticing. Some may think this is petty, but it matters in customer service. They also didn't have a wide array of bagels at this place. I didn't really take any stars away for that, however, it was a bit disappointing to know that a variety of bagels weren't on the menu. All in all, this place is awesome and we'll soon be back. My husband and I had been to this restaurant many times before and have always enjoyed the food and service. Today was a whole other experience for us. For the first time in our lives, we decided to leave our server a 0 tip. Kevyn did nothing to deserve a tip and was rude to us on top of it. When we arrived, we were promptly seated and served coffee. The restaurant offers a weekday breakfast deal with two options for $5.50. We had never been here on a weekday and were unfamiliar with the rules. There was a display sign with the two meals and prices listed that was clipped at the bottom into the jam holder. Covered by the clip was the phrase "Please no substitutions." We did not see this note. When Kevyn appeared she simply said "Do you know what you want?" without a greeting or introduction (I had to ask another server what her name was). My husband asked if waffles could be substituted for the pancakes in the special since they are offered on the menu at the same price. Kevyn then stared at my husband like he was the biggest idiot she had ever met while shaking her head "no", slowly unclipped the display from the jam container, and gently set it down in front of my husband. Then she took a finger and pointed to the note "Please no substitutions." She didn't even say A WORD. My husband had to break the silence and say, "Oh, I didn't see that." Then she asked us if we needed more time to decide and I said sure. My husband and I couldn't believe how rude she behaved! After we ordered and our food came we never spoke with her again. We had other servers clear our table and sat waiting for our check until finally I asked another server to help us find our ticket (she then cashed us out, also). We sat and watched as Kevyn chatted and laughed with every other one of her tables, all regulars I presumed. She completely ignored us after our food came. I went here for brunch because the various benedicts on the menu looked tasty. I got the lobster egg benedict and my husband got the egg scramble. He was not able to finish the dish and had left overs. My lobster egg benedict had really big chunks of lobster in every bite. I wanted to give this place a 4 star, but the only thing is that service as a little slow and disorganized. We sat and wait for a while, as I noticed everyone else was being served around us first. The only plus was there was one lady that took our drink orders...But, we had to wait for a waitress to take our order. Finally, one waitress asked if we were being helped. I noticed a lot of locals go there....that is probably why the wait staff was distracted and had long conversations with the locals, which is fine; but it would help if someone would also serve new people to help them feel welcomed. We discovered the Brunchery in the last year, and it has become our "go to" place for breakfast. They do omelets to perfection, and have some very unique combinations. Portion sizes are large meaning that we can turn 2 meals into 4-5. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. We will continue to frequently return. read more

I would have given it 5 stars for the food but the fact that it takes 15 min for someone to even greet you, another 20 minutes before someone takes your order and it's impossible to get drink refills, makes me wonder if 3 stars is too generous. It's also a good thing that our food came out as ordered because no one came back to ask us if we needed anything else. Also, no one came back to pay our bill so we went to the hostess and paid her. Even though this establishment was quite farther than we expected, my best friend and I really enjoyed our brunch here. I ordered the Florentine Benedict and I ate THE WHOLE THING! Now this place is a local favorite and was jamming! We had a party of 8 and called ahead and still had a 25 minute wait. Call ahead if you go on the weekend because waiting when you're hungry and the food smells so good isn't an easy task! The menu is enormous for brunch and anything you want to eat is pretty much covered. We had two kids under 8 with us and they were loving their dishes too and especially the sprinkle covered hot chocolate. I order the Chorizo Eggs Benny and they brought me the wrong thing at first but once I got it - I was in heaven. ChoriZo eggs Benedict, jalapeño cheese and green tomatillo verde sauce! A strong punch of heat at times but an awesome original dish. My boyfriend, brother and dad all said that would be what they order when we come back! This place has options and a quirky diner feel. I am a regular, but have failed to review before. Great varied menu, but I lean toward their omelets. Yesterday's was a Western Omelet. The eggs are always perfect, fluffy and delicious. The cheese and ham were generous. The ham is not grocery store - processed and packaged ham. Fresh ham, shaved and fills the generous plate of eggs. The green peppers and onions we sauteed with some firmness remaining. Service is outstanding. I don't understand how this place has 4 stars at all, it's mediocre at best. I ordered the French toast with eggs, homestyle potatoes, and eggs and my sister ordered the California chicken wrap. Half of my potatoes were so burnt I couldn't eat them, and there was hard black charred bits scattered all over the food. The eggs tasted off while the sausage and french toast were just meh. The service is poor and the food is not great either. We live in the community right next door, in River Hills, and at first the Brunchery was our breakfast spot. However, in the past couple of years the food quality has gone down and the service (which was never good to start with) has declined even further. The food is way too greasy and the waitresses have no idea how to take and properly serve orders. The waitresses can also be a bit rude when questioned about the orders. I have been to the Brunchery several times and this was my first disappointment. Unfortunately it was an overwhelming disappointment. We waited about 10 minutes to be seated which is not long on Sunday morning. When our table was ready, the hostess pointed to our table in the back corner facing the window and told us to go on over. Oh, sorry to inconvenience you at your JOB. When we sat down, there was a larger party (6-7) that had been seated behind us in the very corner and another couple of women seated beside us, all within a couple minutes of each other. The larger table ordered first (as they should, since they were seated first) then the last couple ordered and got their drinks all before we were ever greeted. When our drinks finally arrived (one at a time), another girl eventually took our order, after she had taken the couple's order (who were seated after us). By the time we got our food, my husband had finished his second cup of coffee(which was one of the best things we were served) and I was on my second glass of lightly sweetened tea (could use a lot more sugar). While we waited, the manager or owner came over and greeted the large party and the couple, but never spoke to us. When our food arrived, my eggs Benedict were over cooked (hard yellow center, not runny at all), which is a major disappointment since that's the whole reason I order a Benny. My daughter's eggs Benedict were majorly undercooked with clear part of the egg remaining. We sent it back once we were finally able to track down a server. She did offer to get a fresh order but my teenager was grossed out so just ate her muffin. The muffins are typically great, when they are served fresh off the griddle and warm enough to melt the butter. Our butter didn't melt on the cold muffin. My husband had the BLT omelette, which was weirdly served with two slices of bacon and tomatoes on top and a little bit of unmelted cheese. There was a little tomato and bacon inside the omelet, but not much. When the check came, the owner/manager came back over to the couple's table to thank them for coming in and once again ignored us (thus the reason for this post). I believe that if food is sent back, the manager should give a courtesy visit to the table, but that didn't happen today. When my husband was paying the hostess, she asked how everything was. He hesitated and said "it was ok" but she didn't ask "why just ok?" So we paid and left. I believe if you're a regular here, the wait staff know you and take care of you. If you're only an occasional visitor, you are overlooked and that is unfortunate. It will be a long time before I return, if ever, to The Brunchery. read more

The Brunchery itself is a unique little gem of Brandon, and definitly deserves to be in your breakfast/brunch rotation. Everyday of the week they offer a different flavored coffee, all of which are delicious (I recommend the jumping Jamaican). the menu specials are posted on the two chalkboards and the regular menu items are listed on the paper mats on the table. the food is always delicious and uniques, never skimping on the butter or flavor, but the staff does tend to slack when the owner isn't on shift that day and the orders suffer and, the owner can be a little defensive of her establishment. Drove past this place on our way to Lithia Springs Park and thought we'd give it a try. What a GREAT FIND! We arrived on a Sunday at 10:30 in the morning and of course the place was packed. Fortunately they have a small outdoor seating area with shade that we could sit at immediately and have our pups join us. The service was simply amazing! We had no less than four servers and the owner check up on us every 10 to 15 minutes. The food was equally amazing. The menu has a delightful variety of breakfast and lunch specialities. The eggs I ordered were cooked to perfection. A good sign of a competent chef. The grits were some the best I've ever tasted. Best of all nothing was over salted. As someone who LOVES breakfast food, this place is like heaven on earth. The Brunchery is well known in the area and never disappoints for a good home-cooked meal feeling. You have to try a grilled muffin - choose from blueberry, chocolate chip, and more, cut in half and pressed on the grill with some butter. My favorite entree is the eggs florentine: two poached eggs, spinach, tomato, and bacon on an english muffin with homemade Hollandaise.
