Our ticket couldn't be read by the machine at the exit gate, and when we called support from the exit kiosk, they said in a rude tone, "If the exit gate isn't opening, you need to use a different exit." There was only one exit in the section of the garage we were in! We said that in response and the agent hung up. We called and received the same response a second time before we finally just hit "lost ticket" and paid the full rate, just so we could leave! Been to the Uncommons before and had a good time, but didn't have to deal with the incompetent and rude staff until today. We won't be back.

We decided to check out local fall events and discovered the Uncommons Harvest. It was a small…read moregathering with really nice people and a beautiful setting filled with pumpkins of every size and color. There were craft and snack booths along with live music from a talented singer/guitar player. We walked around, took pictures, and bought a pumpkin for our dogs, great for their digestion. Afterward, we explored the Uncommons itself. It's an apartment complex that truly has it all: shopping, salons, spa, fitness center, restaurants, bars, and regular events. Everything you need is right there. Having lived in these types of mixed-use communities before, I can say this is a dream setup. I'm thrilled it's only 10 minutes from home, so I'll definitely be checking out the dining and events at the Uncommons frequently.

This area has a variety of complementary but non-competing businesses clustered together: a braiding/blow-dry bar and a tanning salon, a portrait studio and an art shop, a candy store and kid's clothing shop, and a surprisingly stunning décor store. Several of them seemed to be hurting for business though, with a single bored-looking employee and no customers. Property management seems to be making an effort to direct traffic this way: there are standing easels in the outdoor plaza pointing to the entrances in the area, there is a dedicated elevator in the parking garage, and extensive wall-art encouraging visitors to stop in and explore. Now parking is not the best of choices. You might have to go across the street but it's a short little walk all around this neighborhood. Make sure and wear good walking shoes. It's a little bit of fun here in Vegas, just another delight to make this city and all its neighborhoods feel welcoming and warm . Many options are around for updates for your pictures. Take advantage of these and remember those days years later. Now that we have explored its possibilities are endless for your fun and adventures here at Shanghai Plaza!
