Nice pro shop and restaurant. Carts had GPS and were well maintained. I played the forward tees…read morewhich were around 4800 yards which is a little shorter than usual but the next tees were 5300 which was too long. I'm glad I chose the forward tees because the course is narrow and I always seemed to end up in the sand. I thought it was a difficult round, with the back nine being tougher than the front. Greens and tee boxes were in ok shape. The practice putting green was rather beat up. I loved all the prairie flowers throughout the course. Very pretty. The tee boxes had little to no shade and the round was a bit slow so we were in the sun a lot waiting to tee off. I thought it was a nice course. I'd like to give it another try now that I know where I'm going. I lost quite a few balls.

I've been playing Chaska Town Course since it opened in the late 1990s (I play there about 4 times…read moreper year, on average). And I'm still not tired of this course -- at all. It's the best public course in the West Metro by a good margin. I think it competes well with Legends Golf Club in Prior Lake and Rush Creek in Maple Grove -- but both those two courses are ~ 50% more expensive than Chaska Town Course. Town Course has an excellent practice facility. The course itself is challenging and interesting. You have two fun driveable par 4's, a decent amount of water hazards, and a lot of natural beauty. Now that I think about it, nearly every hole is interesting. You have some great par 5's that really tempt you to get home in two shots, but they are well-protected by trees and water. The course is always kept in immaculate condition. They also do a good job enforcing pace of play -- I don't recall a round ever dragging on longer than 4.5 hours. The food in the clubhouse is good, too. Great patio overlooking the stunning 18th hole. They have a Weekday Special Rate for teeing off before 11 am on Mon - Thursday.

I walked 18 holes on a Friday morning early. I didn't have a tee time since I was a single, but…read morewas able to tee off right away. There were a few people in front of me, but the pace of play was fantastic with minimal waiting. No one can complain about 18 holes in under 3 hours! The course is looking better and better every year. All of the bunkers have new sand in them which I made sure to try out four different times to have a thorough review ;). The greens rolled true and had decent speed. There are a few unique holes on this course that require some strategy and shot making to do well. It definitely isn't wide open and there is a lot of potential to lose balls. There are also a few holes that are lined with houses on one side or the other. The typically don't come into play unless you hit a very poor shot. If you are a decent golfer, this is a really fun course. If you have trouble getting the ball in the air regularly, this would be very very frustrating. The only negative is that the bugs were bad. I would suggest taking some bug spray with you. There were two holes on the front nine that are quite damp, and I thought I was going to be carried away by the mosquitoes. The rest of the course were still buggy but tolerable. It may have been due to it still being relatively early and I was walking making me an easy meal.

I have played on many golf courses in Minnesota, and this is the worst! It certainly isn't a championship golf course, as you advertise...that's a joke!

The greens rolled true. There is definitely water and sand challenges beyond the length. I never found myself in the sand but did find the water on the long par 3s where you had to fly the water to reach the green. Carts had GPS. There were also beverage carts along the course. They have a really nice turn to get food and beverages if you choose. Your green fee includes a small range ball basket. They also have chipping and putting greens for practice. Someone greeted us at the bag drop and loaded up a cart for us. Very nice staff and loved the course.

Their special of the night was the Lemon Garlic chicken Penne, packed with great ingredients just not hot. $23.00 huge bowl could have fed 2. Daughter ordered the Butternut squash ravioli and loved it, awesome Maple cream sauce. Since neither of our meals came with garlic bread or anything we shared the Sliced Italian bread from appetizer menu and it filled the void for $6.00. My daughter had a super nummy cheeseburger with battered french fries. My son had the salmon with cheesy augratins and he said it was tasty. We finished with the gluten free chocolate cake that was delicious and moist. Would have given them another star had our food been served hot, we did not complain but wished I had, atmosphere and service was great, my granddaughter loved playing a few of the free arcade games off the entry. Will definitely be back.
