A Pet Owner's Nightmare! My bunny DIED under Dianne's care! *Not even one star if I could post without picking one! What could be worst when a pet owner came back after 2.5 weeks of vacation and found out the precious bunny that she ever had died!??? Dianne didn't even dare to call me or leave me a message about this! She didn't tell my brother when he called to check on Rudy!!!! I had to find this out when I called her and asked when I could pick Rudy up. She then told me Rudy died of nature cause. She didn't tell me when he died, not until I asked. She simply told me she didn't do anything wrong and she even took his body for autopsy to proof that she didn't do anything wrong!!! How could a healthy 1 year old rabbit suddenly died of natural cause? She said he might be stressed out (did she take him out to play and ignore his anxiety? Did she force to trim his nails even he refused to?) I'm totally furious! I should have go to those licensed pet boarding facility instead of trusting her!!! She told us she already cremated him and we can pick up his remains at the Vet's office! WHAT???? Didn't she at least get our approval!???? Why didn't she call my emergency contact? When we demanded a full refund, she made up many excuses including she already spent so much money on the autopsy and such and she'll only paid us back those day after Rudy died. She sounds like she really has nothing to do with this and it's just a rabbit that we lost and why we made such a big fuss!!! It's not about money, not about a pet and not about a rabbit. I am a rabbit rescuer and advocate. I trust Dianne with my personal bunnies. There are very few people that I feel safe leaving my bunnies with. Dianne is a long time volunteer in that rabbit community, she is very loving and dedicated. Dianne also helped me bond bunnies! The rates at the Bunny Hay Loft are so reasonable and the rabbits get much more space and enrichment than other boarding facilities! read more

3 days prior to our trip, Diane finally called us! Despite the communication issues, we are very happy with her care for our rabbits. She provided spacious living quarter, healthy food and fresh hey for them. When we went to pick up our rabbits, they seemed healthy and happy. We also got a chance to meet the other rabbits under her care. They all seemed very happy. It is still difficult to get hold of her though. We couldn't reach her to arrange a specific pickup time. So we ended up knocking at her door unscheduled. However, everything worked out and we are happy as long as our bunnies are happy. read more

I love Dianne & the Bunny Hayloft! We used to live near Dianne and started boarding our bunnies with her when we first got them about 6 or 7 years ago. Even though we moved to San Francisco over 2 years ago, we continue to take our rabbits to the Bunny Hayloft because it's their home away from home. Dianne is a retired nurse and she knows how to handle medical issues; we have seen her nurse various rabbits through the years, hers and others. We feel confident in her care because she has a watchful eye (and she can limit pellet intake for buns without self control if you just let her know!). Also she's very sweet and she fosters rabbits for rabbit rescue organization, extra points in my book. read more

We've taken our rabbits to Bunny Hayloft for many years and have always felt confident that they are well taken care of and safe. Dianne has wonderful little habitats for them rather than sterile rabbit cages. They get good food, toys and lots of love and attention. An added benefit is that Dianne has a lot of medical training so if anything goes wrong she will do what needs to be done to get the bunnies back on track. We can feel confident while we are out of town. read more

We had a great experience with Dianne and the Bunny Hay Loft! I was very worried about what to do with my bunny while I was out of town for two weeks, but I was very happy with the knowledge and expertise Dianne had about rabbits and felt comfortable about leaving my bunny, Mapleberry with her. Dianne also had great recommendations from For Other Living Things, which made me feel secure that Dianne was the lady for the job. Mapleberry had her own little area setup where she could hop around and be able to climb and wiggle into things, which is exactly what bunnies love to do! She also got to have some face time with Dianne's bunny which was good since Mapleberry doesn't have much interaction with other bunnies. I only took one star off because I had to call Dianne a few times before she got back to me about picking Maple up early. Overall, a great experience and I will definitely be bringing my bun back here to have a little bunny escape at the Bunny Hay Loft. Dianne has watched my bunny and has also bonded him with another bunny per my request. She went above and beyond to ensure the bond was good and I am forever grateful for my buns happiness. She is very knowledgeable and caring toward the buns. Her place is like a bunny oasis, super calm and safe. Will definitely take them back to her when I go on vacation. read more

When I can get a hold of her and when I can afford too, I absolutely love having Diane bunny sit! Her prices are very reasonable for such a specific purpose - I could never take the bunnies to a Petsmart Pet Hotel, if they even see an animal larger than them, they could have a heart attack and die! When dropping off and picking up my two bunnies, they seem happy and well fed. The $16 per day is a great value since my bunnies are bonded. The set-up is great too, a fair large pen with an endless supply of hay, pellets and water, with some interaction with Diane each day. The decor is nice too, mini light up Christmas trees surrounding the pen, give a cool outdoor feel with indoor safety. She also encourages you to bring any favorite toys, snacks and blankies your bunnies like. I can vacation comfortably and with piece of mind knowing that my bunnies aren't starving and are having their own vacation. Plus, they are being cared for by someone who truly knows about bunny care. read more

My husband and I have been entrusting Dianne with our bunnies ever since we got them in late 2007/early 2008. Our first bunny did well on his own with her and then the two bunnies did well when they were not yet bonded (they had separate living quarters the first time with Dianne) and most recently they've been boarded together (they've bonded quite nicely- they are always together!). We've *never* had a problem with Dianne and our bunnies. They've sometimes come back a bit fatter, but this time around, we are fairly certain they lost some weight (which is a *good* thing because they had just had a vet visit and we were advised to adjust their diet to allow for some weight loss). My husband and I discussed the bunnies' recent vet visit and any concerns and we knew they were (still) left in good hands. We love Dianne and are so pleased with how are bunnies are when they come home- happy to see us but obviously they had fun at "camp"! We tend to think of them going on a little vacation of their own when we leave them with Dianne. Thank you, Dianne!! read more

Dianne was wonderful! We were in the process of moving, having sold our home and in the process of purchasing a new one and needed a place for our rabbits to stay. Needless to say, Dianne did a a great job taking care of our fury family members. She always welcomed us to come visit our rabbits and they always seemed to be in the best of hands. It is more than obvious how much Dianne loves rabbits. I would not hesitate to take my rabbits back to Dianne or recommend her to anybody who needs to board their rabbit(s). read more

We've been taking our bunnies to Dianne for 15 years whenever we go away, which is quite often. Dianne takes fabulous care of them. The best thing is that they are not in cages but are in little bunny "hotel rooms" with lots of toys and hiding places. Dianne gets all the bunnies' greens form a local farmer's market so they are super fresh and healthy. Dianne's medical training and years of experience with rabbits allows us to be confident that if there is ever a problem, she will know exactly what to do. She also takes care of orphaned wild baby rabbits for the Wildlife Center. read more

I just love her. I live in Belmont and I drive all the way to Santa Clara to drop my baby bunny. She is very nice and Bunnies have the priority there. He is in his own space and can play and run however he wants. He always come back happy. read more
