London Bus Burger and Hand-Cut Parmesan Fries
    Karen C.

Came in for lunch today with a coworker and neither of us had been here before. We will be back!!!! She got the No.27 and I got the London Bus. We'll also split an order of Parmesan Fries. It was a lot of burger but and totally worth the calories!! Delicious, cooked just right and good service. I'm going to be dreaming about my next burger .

Best Beyond Burger I've had! Cole slaw is super, wanted more! Not sure the name of the pasta dish with fried shrimp and Thai spices was delicious.

Fast service. Got their house veggie burger. I believe it was made with black beans. Surprisingly tasted pretty good! Also got sweet potato fries to share. Next time I'll try one of their more popular burgers.

What a great little find. We stopped by here as our 1st choice was bedeviled by significant parking issues and man did it work out. We were off hour so we were seated immediately. Service was on point and friendly. The Food: London Bus: It was a quintessential burger. The meat was tasty and the bacon played perfectly against everything else. The star was the malted fries. They added a salty, acidic crunch that helped offset the richness of the burger. The slaw was nice. Just the right amount of crunch and not over dressed Onion Rings: perfectly battered with the right onion to batter ratio. I could have wolfed down a whole plate of them. I did not try the tacos but my wife really liked them. Nice selection of drafts and food make this place a no brainer

Fun restaurant to come with friends! The service was super friendly and quick that we got our food in a matter of minutes. The food itself was super yummy. They have a variety of burgers and sandwiches that I had such a hard time choosing. I ended up going with the BBB and adding parmesan fries (best decision). Lots of exciting drinks to choose from but my group just stayed with the classics margaritas and tequila shots. Come out and try this place for the food and fun! We will be back soon!

BLUE CHEESE SALMON SALAD With Frisée, Arugulas, Baby spinach, Carrots, Red cabbage, egg, Sweet corn, honey mustard dressing

This is a nice place to enjoy a brew, decent food, awesome onion rings, understaffed hard working servers that maintain a great spirit. Located in the heart of the modern biotech office canyons that now define formerly industrial Emeryville is The Bureau 510, a quietly lit, cozy yet spacious brewpub on Hollis Street, just on the north side of the Powell Street intersection across the street from the Chevron station. We've been here a few times to catch up with friends. Winners on the menu that we've tried include any of the burgers, the totally excellent beer battered onion rings, and fish tacos. This time I tried the blue cheese salmon salad from their "specials" menu, which was just ok. While the small slab of salmon was prepared moist and perfect, the blue cheese and everything else was significantly overpowered by the honey mustard dressing. Veggies and all other salad ingredients were fresh and on point. For dessert, we tried the hazelnut tartufo, which would have been amazing if this gelato dessert wasn't 1/4 of the way melted due to the warm plate that it was served on. :( Instead, my friend's vanilla gelato would have been a much wiser choice as it was served in a chilled glass with probably twice the amount of gelato! Just order that or something else and split it between ya! Still, this is a nice place to hang out and chill after a long day with a good brew and a burger!

The food is okay! I got a ChikN Bureau but this was a bit disappointing. It didn't have too much flavor. There was not a lot of aioli or I couldn't taste any. The chicken was dry and not very flavorful. It had a lot of spinach which I liked but because all the flavors felt bland (even the bread which is Acme bread), this whole meal felt dry and very flat. The restaurant is clean and nice. Service is nice and attentive.

    Drinks were good folks!

Pleasantly surprised by this place! Fish tacos were real good! Onion rings & salad as well. Wasn't going to try because of the low ratings. We will come back for sure! Mussels & drinks were the 5 stars of this lunch. Solid 4 stars for everything else! Friendly staff & clean lovely atmosphere!

    Watermelon margarita was delicious

We came here before the Beyonce movie but only had about an hour to drink and eat and run. The staff was great, they were fast but the cocktails and food were great. I had fish and chips and a watermelon margarita. Both were delicious.

Was visiting the Pinball Museum with some old friends and wanted a burger afterwards. It was really good. Burger was cooked perfectly to my liking, and the fries were skinny and crisp... Service was friendly and efficient, with everything being delivered as ordered. Cant ask for more than that. I will definitely put this on my list for Alameda...thank you Bureau folks!

stopped by for early dinner with my friend and was pleasantly surprised by how yummy the menu was! i was craving soup so i ordered aztec pozole [vega, homemade spicy soup - hominy corn, tomato, garlic, onion, cilantro, chipotle] ($6.95) which was perfect for the cooler weather and loved how there was an indoor and outdoor seating option available. at one point during the dinner, a random stranger was trying to bother us - and i really appreciate the wait staff ensuring that we are all okay and offering for us to move inside as we were sitting outside. so 10/10 would recommend as the vibes and food itself were delicious! tips: - street parking available - amazing extensive menu - indoor and outdoor seating available

Nice and incredibly food in happy hour here. Try this wing, you will love it.

They closed for a time, and now seem to be thriving again! Heading to the Greek for a weekend show, we wanted to pop in somewhere close-by. We cozied up to bar seating, and enjoy a couple of martinis featuring local gin and vodka, and ordered some food to share: the Original Tikka Masala Flatbread (we had to finally try it!), and the Sev Puri Chaat (first time trying this ever!). Service was amazing, and if I could write this review purely on the originality and creativity of the menus, I would (see pics!) The menus were CD cases (remember those, ha) with a fun take on 'Spice Girls', titled 'East Bay Spice Company'. For Spice Girls fans, you will recognize what album this was derived from. Each page of the cd book was a different part of the menu, including drinks, happy hour (from 2-6pm), and food. So fun, and unlike anything I've ever seen before. The food was so fresh and delicious. Loved the pomegranate seeds and lightness from the Sev Puri Chaat, bite size garbanzo bean/potato goodness! And standing O for that flatbread..pro-tip: get a side of the Tikka Masala sauce to pour on top. Absolutely amazing. I'm a huge fan of Tikka Masala, and having that sauce be a base for a pizza...come on!! We did chicken as the protein. Overall, so happy to return and have East Bay Spice back apart of the Berkeley rotation again. Small, dimly-lit, cool digs. Also check out their sister spots: Tap in Lounge and Tipsea in Berk, Blue Rabbit Bar off San Pablo, and Lemon Drop in Alameda.

The presentation was impeccable, and the sauce was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. The chicken seemed like a leaner cut, possibly breast, but it was still tender and not overcooked. I thoroughly enjoyed this plate and would 100% come back to order it again. My husband ordered the flatbread, though I can't remember the exact name, and it was surprisingly delicious as well. It tasted almost like a pizza version of the chicken tikka masala, making it a great shareable option if you're looking to snack, chat, and enjoy cocktails. Speaking of cocktails, the bartenders seemed very knowledgeable and helped me choose a drink based on my preferred spirit and cocktail style. I ended up with the Skeleton Key, which was strong, but still paired well with the meal. I'd happily come back to try more cocktails and, of course, order that chicken tikka masala again.

I'm vegetarian so was so excited to try the dogs - which are vegan. And I may be biased but you cannot tell that you're missing out on anything with all the flavor packed combos. The bun was fluffy and soft and you have multiple fun themed options to choose from. My partner and I ended up getting the deli dog and truffle meltdown. Deli was perfect - classic mix of spice and crunch with the spicy brown mustard and giardiniera peppers. And the truffle meltdown was so savory and decadent - totally different flavor profiles from each dog! We were only going to grab one drink but the menu was so inventive we ended up getting two. It is a unique layout to a bar, and probably better concept for earlier hours, when it isn't as crowded during the night. It can fill up really quickly, since the area to order a drink, dance, and mingle is narrow, since the bar is literally in the middle of the room. Some of the staff can be extremely nice and kind, and there are some who you can tell are fed up, upset, and don't have the best attitude. I get it, though.
