There was way too much BBQ sauce, so much so that it was more like drinking a sandwich than eating one. And on the other hand, there was hardly any cole slaw at all. I actually poked around the sandwich with my fork to see if the slaw was buried underneath the fries. Each ingredient, on its own, was good. The bun was good. The sausage was tasty and cooked with a snap, and the fries were pretty good. The sauce was decent (and "plentiful"), but unfortunately, I can't tell you about how the slaw tasted (see above). Too much of one element, and another was ignored. I also ordered a side of hush puppies, and although the breading was crispy and seasoned really well, the cornmeal interior was undercooked and doughy. I'm thinking I caught Goodfellas on a bad day. Maybe the next time I'm in town, I'll give 'em another shot. But for this trip, I'm gonna have to hit another joint to satisfy my Polish Boy jonze before I go back to LA.

A large table was cleaned for us in the back, giving us a sense of privacy. Our server, Helen, took everything in stride and hit a home run in the way she took our orders, got everything right and sorted out the individual payments miraculously.
