Both were tasty, got one with no bun and no lettuce. They were very accommodating. Ordered sweet potato fries with one and onion rings with another (both were up charges). Overall a good burger. The airport...the airport. Welp, what can I say? You can try and find something to eat at the duty free (never a bargain) or maybe at Relay (overpriced water and trail mix). That won't do. I walked right past The Burger Federation but after touring the lack of options doubled back to BF. I ended up with the Poutine which is something I usually enjoy in the Great White North. Waiting to catch our last flight back from our trip, we walked a really, really long way to get to this end of the terminal and this was the only real dining option. You can order for takeout at the register or sit and get table service, which we did. It was relatively quiet when we arrived but filled up afterwards, stretching the two servers working that day. I ordered a chicken schnitzel sandwich with tater tots but the waitress brought fries -- oh well. This was my wife's last chance to get poutine in Canada so she ordered that. If you have an early flight to the US from Pearson International Airport, there are only a few restaurants open. Unfortunately my flight was before the airport lounges open, so there was either this place or Starbucks. You can either order to go or sit down and order from the menu. I opted for the latter. I ordered the breakfast burger, which contains a sausage patty, egg, cheddar cheese, tomato, spicy mayo, with a side of parmesan tater tots. The food was surprisingly very good. I thought the parmesan tater tots were perfectly cooked, crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. It went well with the bottle of ketchup at each table. The burgers was freshly made, toppings were fresh and complimented the beef well and the bun was soft yet holds up against all the meat and filling. Great Quick Meal just before my Flight!!! I had a flight out of Pearson airport. In this terminal there just weren't that many choices. I decided on a burger since my flight was boarding soon. I sat down, my server came over fairly quickly, and I ordered my magnificent burger with Cheese, an Egg and Sweet Potatoe fries. I had the veggie, but switched cheese to mozzarella and no sauce, would have preferred avocado or hummus as a "sauce" substitute. After a long wait going through the customs service at the Toronto Airport I was ready to eat something substantial that will last me for the last leg of my flight. Luckily right I infront of my gate there was burger federation. Here they have unique burgers from certain countries, I thought it was a cool concept. Surprisingly the waitress told me the BLT is the most commonly ordered one. I went with the French burger since it had poutine and Brie in it, not something I've had in a burger. They have a self service counter where my wife and I waited for over 10 minutes trying to make a simple purchase (a fruit cup and drink we were holding in our hands). The customer before us had obviously left in frustration as their items were still at the cash register. Several employees claimed that they would ring us up but it was over 15 minutes before someone rang us up and then took off so fast that we had to retrieve our own receipt. If you want to get food at a place that can provide even a modicum of service, try elsewhere. At one point another staff member returned and proceeded to start goofing around and keeping the few staff members who were working from concentrated. Sure, the caramelized onions tasted amazing and the bun was toasted to perfection, but the dijon mustard was so strong that it was blocking my enjoyment of the rest of the burger.
