It's loaded with melted sharp American cheddar, pickles, griddled onions and dijonnaise. I added the thick-cut bacon but passed on the fried egg -- and for me, that was the right call. The bacon adds another level of smoky, sweet, and salty richness without taking away from the burger itself.

Fortunate me, having a close friend who's always in the know about the latest happenings around town. Thanks to her, we found ourselves indulging in lunch at The Burger Point just a week after its grand opening. My anticipation for sinking my teeth into a juicy burger grew as we embarked on a short drive to the South side, located at State and Archer. Upon entering the brightly lit restaurant, we were greeted with ample seating and a few TVs adorning the walls. After swiftly perusing the menus, we placed our orders at the front counter - opting for the #1 Burger Point Burger, #3 Crunchy Burger, along with a side of russet and sweet potato fries. Seated comfortably, we caught up while eagerly awaiting our meal. Within ten minutes, our order was ready, freshly prepared and served. I appreciated the effort put into each burger; they were far from the assembly line fare. My choice, adorned with roasted chile peppers, a fried egg, smoked bacon, and pepper jack on a pretzel roll, delivered a delightful kick. Despite being cooked through, the flavors were exceptional, though I lamented the overcooked egg, missing the desired runny yolk. read more

As a vegetarian, I find it hard to find a place that has quality vegetarian options. I love that I can always substitute a veggie patty for any burger on the menu. The burgers are made fresh, along with the fries, when you order. Considering that they shop from local produce and hormone/chemical free meats, I expect the price to be a bit higher. When you food isn't filled with additives, it's naturally going to cost more. Personally, I would rather pay a bit more (and really $8.25 for a burger, in Chicago, is not that much.) and know where my food came from, when it was made, what's in it, etc. The staff is always friendly and kind, and I enjoy coming into the restaurant. It's close to where I live and very convenient and fast. Keep up the great work, Burger Point. Your food and hospitality speaks for themselves and that's what the Yelp review should be based upon (not assumptions or misunderstandings about building/tenant issues). read more

We live on the north side, and don't get downtown too often, but now and again we are down there for meetings, or business so when i/we are, the burger point is a must. I think In and out burgers are the best burgers in the country (for a burger joint type place), they are in a leauge of their own. But the Ashman is like an in n out and I get that every time.I also got an order of wings called "baltimore style", they are dry rubbed with some sort of seasoning popular in Baltimore. it does get busy at times, but that's to be expected and i can see why. my wife also gets the ashman, so we can't speak for the other burgers, but i haven't gone for it yet with another kind of burger, no need to. oh, the fries are tasty, but wish they were a little bit longer cut, but tasty with some of their home made ranch dip and blue cheese. read more

First time dining here yesterday and I will definitely be back. The service was great, all staff was friendly and the food was really good!! They have plenty of different types of specialty burgers to choose from along with building your own as well. In order for the place to be considered top tier, you have to have really good fries too!! Needless to say, the fresh cut fries were really good and they are not stingy with the portions either!! My only negative mark I would give for this visit, is I asked for my burger to be cooked medium and it was past well done. I'm sure it was just a mistake by the cook, because my friend asked for medium and his was cooked properly. All in all, great place with excellent options, food and customer service!! read more

One of my favorite burger places in Chicago. I love The Gobbler (Turkey Burger). With the cream cheese and cranberry reduction, you don't need to put anything else on it. Another fave is the Buffalo Burger (Chicken). Delicious and again, with the buffalo sauce, it needs no other topping. The order of fries is enough to share and they are crispy and crunchy. read more
