So far everything that I've had here is delicious. My favorite is the California surf and turf, and I love the chipotle sauce! The meat is always well seasoned, there's plenty of shrimp and the tortilla shell is very flavorful. I like the fact that you get some warm chips for dining in and if you need them to go, just ask for it and I'll make it happen. The poblano burrito with steak is absolutely delicious along with the chipotle chicken burrito ! I can't wait to try more things from the menu. The restaurant is always clean and presentable. I think they're getting ready to expand to the area next-door, which will allow for more seating! The staff is always nice and friendly. Even the customers too! As soon as I walked in, the modern Mexa-inspired vibe stood out--the place was spotless, including the salsa bar. The cashier on duty was genuinely friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. I ordered the Surf and Turf Burrito and a large Jamaican drink, which came out to $22.72. The burrito was incredibly moist and flavorful, with shrimp cooked perfectly. We paired it with the green avocado salsa and the habanero pineapple salsa fresca--both delicious, with just the right amount of heat. Absolutely love this place. As the name suggests, the burritos are the star of the show. I've gotten the fresh jalapeño burrito and the California burrito. Both made me moan in a way that should have been embarrassing. The fresh jalapeño was my favorite. Don't sleep on the mini tacos while you're here. Ugh I have been dying to try this place so I convinced my husband to go here over our usual hole in the wall taco shop off campo road. It was a huge let down. He ordered the avocado and egg/bacon breakfast burrito. Omg it was just a tortilla STUFFED WOTH SCRAMBLED EGGS. Very little bacon or avocado. It was tasteless and honestly not appealing at all. I ended up cutting my carne asada burrito in half to share with him. I'd give that 5/10. Average size, average flavor. For 2 burritos and 2 rolled tacos it was $33. That is HEFTY for to go taco shop food. Highlights were the rolled tacos were crunchy and the chipotle sauce as the salsa bar was flavorful. We won't opt to return. :-( read more

Checked out this Mexican shop that was absolutely delicious! Everything was packed with flavor and service was amazing! Nubia made sure we were doing well as my husband and I dined in. I love how they have potato rolled tacos because most places don't offer that as well as flautas!! Also to add on their salsa bar is bomb. Try their pineapple salsa and they also have chipotle sauce. Service - I've read the previous reviews mention that service was bad and orders were not correct. I've eaten here three times now and have not experienced bad service or any incorrect orders. The service was nothing to praise but it was just a simple take my order and get me my food with a welcoming. Cost - The cost is a little bit less than average to average. The big thing for me is the burrito sizes are large. They're more long than bigger in width but they're filled with whatever you order. They also give you a free side of tortilla chips on the side which is a great addition. Food - I've tried a breakfast burrito, a steak and bacon burrito and the hot Cheeto burrito. The quality is great, meat is juicy and flavorful. The bacon came out crispy in my breakfast burrito but not too overcooked. The hot Cheetos burrito was done in a way where the chips don't get too soggy and this makes for a great experience. The side salsa bar has a great selection of salsa and toppings to add to your burrito at no additional cost and all have great flavors. The tortillas have a great taste and the burritos themselves are not super greasy on the outside but have plenty of sauce on the inside. Quick Summary - The food honestly just hits the spot and especially for the price and free chips with the selections at the salsa bar. I turned around and made my over, at first glance I was convinced I made a good decision and upon entering the restaurant I was greeted with a clean, bright, and welcoming environment. The menu is diverse and easy to follow. By recommendation I ordered the Poblano burrito, I mean, if you go to the "Burrito City" makes sense to order a burrito; with a choice of carne asada or shrimp, the burrito is matched with rice, beans, roasted poblano, melted cheese, and cilantro sauce, you can then select your own salsa from the salsa bar to add more flavor. I've been coming here for takeout for a while, but after this last experience, I'm done. A while back, I ordered carne asada fries with grilled onions, got charged extra, and when I got home--no onions. I called them about it, not even asking for a refund, just said I'd get them next time. The girl on the phone was cool about it and said she'd make a note. Fast forward to today--I come in, place my order, and the cook is giving me a long, dirty look for no reason. When I pick up my food, I ask him straight up if there's a problem. Instead of acting like a professional, he tells me, "No, but we can take it outside and make it a real problem." Over onions? Seriously? That's not how you talk to customers, especially someone who's been coming back and spending money there. That kind of attitude is straight-up disrespectful and unprofessional. If this is how they handle something small, I can only imagine how they deal with bigger issues. Bad customer service, bad attitude. I won't be back. read more

I stopped in for breakfast to have their "Buenas Dias" breakfast Burrito that came with eggs, bacon, salsa fresca, cheese, and fries, but I opt for hash browns instead of fries for $10.65. It's a casual eatery, and you order at the counter. The young lady at the counter was super sweet. At the counter, you will also find a great salsa bar. The breakfast burrito was outstanding. The eggs were very well scrambled and seasoned. The bacon was very flavorful and offered a very good chew and bite. I loved the touch of salsa fresca in the burrito, and the hash browns were a very good choice. They used very good quality buttery flour tortillas. The burrito was of very good size and filling. The place is very new and organized. They salsa bar is great. I liked the hot red sauce and the avocado salsa. They were delicious. Ok soooo, I had the rolled tacos!!! I am picky. They cant be soft and w little meat! I have updated my review to 5 stars!!! The rolled are filled w beef! And most of all, the tortilla was crunchy and light. Not thick and chewy like most. The guac was real guac not mixed w sour cream. Welcome Burrito City to east county!!! The chile verde and rolled tacos alone make it 5 stars!!! The best rolled tacos in East County! I will continue to try other items but I foresee the other item being just as good. The salsa bar had plenty or varieties to chose from and I noticed the cashier cleaning around it as well, which was nice to see. My husband had the Surf & Turf Burrito and loved it, commented that it was loaded with steak and shrimp. I had the taco, tostado & rolled taco plate with shredded beef and was surprised with how much food was on my plate. The restaurant was nice and clean, you can tell they keep the place up. I love trying new spots so I ordered the Cali Supreme with chicken . It had really good flavor but was missing the French fries which sucks because I ordered it just for that . It wasn't like the place was busy or packed what so ever , I was the only one there when picking up so not sure what happened .
