This review is SUPER late, as the last time I had one of these bad boys was 2012, but man do I miss it. This is hands down the most talked about thing from me when Shreveport is brought up. Whether it's 2am on the weekend after a night of drinking or you decide to drive 15 min out of your way from your apartment for a late night snack just to see how it tastes completely sober on a weekday, this is the place to be. We've waited in the cold for these things, no problem. You definitely get the bang for your buck, never feeling unsatisfied with your meal. My wife and I took a trip and stopped in Shreveport for the night and couldn't WAIT to go get a burrito, but alas he didn't set up shop that night, so we sadly went back to our hotel and cried ourselves to sleep, maybe next time. read more

The best burrito you will ever eat in your entire life! Especially at 3 am, after a mass consumption of alcoholic beverages. But even without the inebriation being taken into consideration, the burritos, the soft tacos, the nachos, just everything offered at this stand is quite simply a culinary phenomenon. I love the ground beef, the salsa, the cheese, lettuce, jalapenos, sour cream and the refried beans (which have a certain delicious sweetness to them!) is what puts this stand over the top! This is absolutely one of my favorite places in all of Shreveport-Bossier! I have introduced many friends to the magic that is The Burrito Stand! Many people may steer clear, or be slightly apprehensive to eating a burrito that is constructed in the wee hours on a street corner...don't be! For you will be missing out on one of the greatest eating experiences of your entire life! I have gone downtown several times, parked my car, and walked to The Burrito Stand, and ordered a burrito, and then taken it back home to eat. I will take a special trip downtown, and stand in line with all the drunk/buzzed club-goers, just to get the burrito! I'm not even out partying! I just want the burrito! I've done this countless times! That's how good The Burrito Stand is! The 2 pound Macho Nachos are incredible as well! Just stacked with everything, including beans, marinated chicken and ground beef, the works. Amazing! The Burrito Stand always offers marinated chicken options for your burrito or soft taco as well as strictly vegetarian options and occasionally it will also offer whole wheat tortillas. The Burrito Stand only accepts cash, the average burrito will run you around six bucks. You can order it as a combo, with a bag of chips (Doritos, Frito's, Sun Chips, etc,) and a cold canned drink (Coke, Diet Coke, etc.) for around eight bucks. The Macho Nachos are also six bucks. Also, please tip the man working The Burrito Stand! He will fix your food to go, or for immediate street-level consumption, just let him know! Whether celebratory or sober, the food at The Burrito Stand is always top-notch and well worth the trip, and the occasional wait in line (there's a reason there's a line!) I love this stand, and I have been a proud and loyal customer (sober and sometimes not so much), for well over a decade now. The Burrito Stand is open from 9pm to 6 am, Friday and Saturday nights only.
