I'm not sure why this place has such a mediocre reputation on here The staff were very friendly, the service was quick and attentive. The place is very clean and inviting. Looks like a middle of Texas "roadhouse" and has plenty of seating. The steak was cooked exactly as requested and the potato was a great. This is the third time we have been in the area for work and the second time we've visited this place. It's totally worth it.

    Cheese curds... tiny and hollow

We have tried here a few times since this review... food isn't bad, but the value is just lacking. This time we purchased the jalapeño poppers as an appetizer, the fried fish plate, and one piece of plain cheesecake with caramel. For 3 items it was $46. The cheesecake was tiny (as you will see), NOT MADE IN HOUSE, and was almost $10. You can get a better piece of cheesecake at Cheesecake Factory for less .

We stopped here on our way through Snyder. This place was amazing. The building was a little hidden but it was so worth the hunt! The fried mushrooms were delicious! The jalapeño poppers were yummy! We got the fried catfish, chicken Alfredo, and regular burger. Our waitress was extremely attentive and even assisted with food allergies! We will definitely hit this place up on our way back through! Hope the locals can give it the support it deserves!

Smallest dessert cheesecake I've ever seen ...sad ...not worth $10 it was store bought -not bakery quality.

Place was recommended by a client. Hostess was sweet~ seated at the bar, so we wouldn't take a whole table at peak dinner time(they had several large parties with multiple tables). The bartender knew we weren't drinking and was very distracted and took forever to take our order. Then food took awhile as well. I got a Shrimp Cobb and was slightly disappointed. It hardly had anything on it...tons of Romain 6 shrimp...very little egg avocado and bacon and a couple tiny dollops of Texas goat cheese... ordered Crème Brûlée-they didn't have any. Ordered cheesecake to go and it wasn't done as asked and was pitifully small for a $10.00 dessert- Really disappointed Not the best experience~

Delicious food, beautiful lighting sconces, kind and courteous staff, only one thing...the music is HORRENDOUS.

They work normal hours now, but the Plaza was once a 24hour hangout/hideaway where the great legends of Snyder's nightlife would rendezvous. Smoker's heaven. You can still smoke while you enjoy a 6a.m. coffee, and the staff will make damn sure that you don't take yourself too seriously. If you're into eavesdropping, you can learn all about local weather, ranching, farming, oilfield gossip, etc. The force is strong and the coffee is strong. This is no place for people who don't have a real appreciation for things West Texan.

I did like the…read morefeel of the place just because it was so different than anything I have ever experienced except maybe when I was a kid. This place is an old gas station that still has pumps outside and has a blimpie sign raised above the place. The sandwich shop doesnt exist and the pumps don't work although they still have all the working parts. As you walk in they have a bunch of slots that don't pay money but instead tickets that can go towards food and such.( which is totally wired in my opinion). Half the place still allows smoking and that's the side with all the windows. It's a family owned place and the waitress 5 days of the week is the daughter I guess and with her you never know what your going to get. I tried to order a basted egg well and she said "we don't do that round here you either get it scrambled or over hard or easy" and when she said it I felt a little contempt coming from her. This place is busy though most of the oil workers come in throughout the day and she is the only server so you better time it just right. The place is filthy especially the smoking room and the cook takes forever to cook the food even if he's only cooking for two. My friend won the slots before he knew they didn't pay out cash and he won $150.00 bucks worth so we ate here for five days. The place took me back in time when establishments didn't put customer service first and I feel it was a one in a kind experience only s town Texas could deliver if any thing it left an impression on me for that it gets a two star and not a one. I wouldnt recommend this place to out of towners but only locals that know the people that own it. This place definilty doesn't have the good old Texas hospitality!
