I noticed that a lot of people of Indian descent occupy most of the tables and that is always a good sign that the food is authentic. I really enjoy the tandoori shrimp, the butter chicken, tikka masala, and egg noodles. The garlic naan comes in regular and spicy and I highly recommend both. It is an excellent reason to eat carbs!

My friends and I ordered a variety of dishes so we could try a bit of everything. While everything tasted good, it was overwhelmingly spicy. Other than my friends' kids, we all can usually handle spicy foods, but even the Level 1 spicy was difficult to continue eating. I don't think they got their spice levels right; the level 1 and level 2 Tikka masala tasted the same, yet the heat felt more like a level 4. My friends spent nearly $80 on their meals for themselves and their kids, but the only ting they could manage to eat was the naan. I gave them a rating of 3 not only because the confusing spice levels, but mostly because the service was okay. We ordered Long Island Iced tea, but our server completely forgot about it and eventually brought it to us after our food came out with all the ice melted. With all the spice we're eating, I also would think they would be a bit more attentive with refilling our drinks, too. If you enjoy spicy foods, I definitely recommend this spot. The food was good, just way too spicy. However, definitely not for kids, and if you can't handle a bit of spice, then this is not the place for you either.

If you're unfamiliar with Indian food, this is a good place to start because of the variety of…read moreentrées and food quality. However, you'll have to Google absolutely every item on the buffet because nothing is described and the scribbled item names tell little about what are in the pans. Curry is a principle spice mixture in Indian foods but can be mild or spicy hot. None of the foods were noted as to which were mild and which were hot. Getting a mouthful of hot curry could be not only be an unpleasant surprise, but also a painful experience for some diners. This is a buffet; we were not offered menus for item ordering. Pricing was comparable to other buffets in the area. This spot opened recently and could still benefit from some "tweaking."

I decided to visit Biryani Boyz for a lunch break after hearing about it from others in Ofallon,…read moreupon entering staff pointed to the bar area without greeting, I was then seated after a moment at the bar, after sitting down I was not given a menu and had to grab one from the bar top, after looking over the menu it took 10 minutes to flag down someone to order. I ordered Chicken Tikka Kebab, Lamb Saag, Chicken Vindaloo, Roti, Cheese Naan, and buffet service, the buffet had a selection of chutney rice, naan, dosa, curry, biryani, palak, and makhani, mostly chicken for protein with an option with paneer and an option with lamb. The buffet came with complimentary masala chai and lemonade. Most of the buffet options were middling and blandly seasoned at best, except for the the establishments namesake, the biryani, which was well seasoned and flavorful, the chutney selection was average, to note a few of the chutney's were watered down, especially the Tamarind, the peanut chutney was their highlight. None of the buffet dishes were packing any spice heat, however they did have a red chili paste alongside the chutneys. The masala chai was solid and not too sweet, to note they had sweeteners on the side for those who have a sweet tooth, the lemonade on the other hand, was way too sweet for my taste, so I stuck to the masala chai. The chicken tikka kebab came out piping hot and smelled great, however upon trying the dish the seasoning was a bit underwhelming, the roti and cheese naan were perfectly cooked, not to crispy and not to doughy, the lamb saag was rich and creamy, well seasoned, and the lamb fell apart in the mouth, the vindaloo had barely any spicy heat, which I had asked for them to make it as spicy as possible, it just didn't have that good kick, there was very little chicken, and even less potatoes, at first I wasn't sure if they had added the potatoes. Overall most of the food was mediocre and lacked spice and heat, the service was sub par(except for the chef; he was a pleasant and friendly fellow), and to note while there, it was extremely hot and I was dripping sweat from the moment I walked in, I'm not sure if the AC broke, but it was cooler outside, and the temperature outside at the time was 81f, the thermalizers for the buffet didn't help as it was likely contributing to humidity in the air. I'd personally say stick to the menu and pass on the buffet and make sure you don't have anything time sensitive to worry about.

Every single dish we tasted was phenomenal perfectly cooked, it was authentic Indian flavors, and it was beautifully presented. There is honestly not one thing I could or would change about my experience. Actually, there is one thing that I would change how the garlic naan is presented on the menu it does show garlic/ chili naan and it seems like it's one item, but in reality it's two different options Just listed on the same line. So we ended up with two orders of naan bread but they both were delicious so it was okay. While the restaurant is located in a shopping plaza, the interior is warm, inviting, and thoughtfully decorated. The service was equally impressive; the staff was attentive, prompt, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. The entire time I was dining, I kept thinking about all the friends and family I want to bring back so they can experience this culinary gem for themselves. I can't wait to go back.
