It has been a while since I wrote a review, but this place deserves an honorable mention for the cost benefit. We had a fried tilapia dish with fries, fried chicken wings, and the pot special with crab legs, lobster, shrimp, and mussels. The fried food was delicious, crispy, not oily. My kids enjoyed it. The boil pot special was also nice, in addition to the options, it comes with 2 pieces of corn and potato. The service was great, the server was very attentive, and all you can expect from a place like this, a bib, crab opener tool, etc. was nice. The place is a BYOB, so having a nice cold beer with the food was an extra. The ambiance is nothing fancy, but it gets a warm cozy feeling to be there with your family. The parking spots are limited, but I was lucky to get a good spot. In the end, a nice surprise, we got a free portion of seafood of our choice based on a promotion they were having. Another Boiling Crab type place... this one is actually one of the better ones that I've been to. I did prefer this to Just BeClaws in JC. Ordered 2lbs of shrimp. Each lb comes with corn and potatoes. I'm hoping that the corn/potatoes are not including in the weight, but will confirm that next time I order. The shrimp were very tasty and seemed to be good quality. We all preferred the Asian garlic flavor. Only complaint was that they were a little on the salty side (versus Boiling Crab and some of the other places I've been). The corn as usual went well with the sauce. I tried the calamari appetizer which was ok. I don't think I would order it again I also ordered the $23 combo deal hot bag. You can chose 3 of four options of clams, mussels, shrimp and crawfish. It comes with 2 small potatoes and 2 pieces of corn. You can chose 3 options of seasoning - I chose the Louisiana Cajun spice . You can also choose range from mild, medium and spicy. $2 bucks if you want the shrimps heads off . $23 is perfect for meal. I didn't have much of the appetizer but next time I would only order the combo. Very filing to me . Didn't eat the corn but overall pretty tasty You get a garbage pail and few utensils if you need to retrieve the seafood. The sausage was fatty n the crab didn't have a lot of meat- not sure if this is the restaurants fault tho. They didn't have scissors to cut the crab so I had a hard time finding any meat at all. I came here with my mom and my sister. My sister and I decided to go with the 8 Piece Fried Shrimp Basket and my mom got the 4 Piece Fried Fish Flounder Basket. Fried Shrimp Basket- I thought that the shrimp was good but I do have to say I've had better. I also did get Cajun fries but my fries tasted like regular fries. My sister said she thought it was okay and would rate it a 3/5. The Fried Fish Flounder: I tried some of my moms flounder and I thought it was much better than my shrimp. We ordered shrimp and mussels for the seafood. Also ordered fries and fried crab meat. Fries were good. Fried crabmeat tasted very fishy but i think it was because it was imitation crab. The seafood itself was good but the sauces had WAY too much butter. I like butter but not in the amount they give you. I felt all i could taste was the butter and not the flavor of the sauce. I stopped eating after a while because i started feeling sick....... I usually finish all the seafood i get but i just couldnt finish it due to the butter. This spot has really good food. I gave it 3 stars because my daughter and I waiting over 15 minutes to be served as the lady and man that worked here were in the back arguing. We continually called out to them but they were so loud, they couldn't here us. After we finally ordered we left out to go to another store because the wait time for the food to be prepared was 15 minutes. Well, that turned into another 30 minute wait because they continued to argue. I literally walked to where they were arguing so let them know we were still waiting for our food. My fiancé got a pound of snow crab legs and 1/2 of shrimp. We wanted to order a dozen of the live blue crabs but unfortunately they were out. Must mean something good then right LOL. We must give their young waitress a big thumbs up. One of the seafood combos we ordered could in fact be ordered under a cheaper combo, as we were choosing the same items that could be found in the cheaper combo. The waitress noticed it when she was entering the order and came to inform us. That is an honest business and waitress. When they said one pound of a certain seafood item, it was one full pound. That's very honest too. And, currently, there are special promotions, where one gets a free half pound or one pound of seafood from a list (came with potatoes and corn) if one orders more than $60/120. Kudos! Great dining experience. This establishment truly loves to feed people and the atmosphere they cultivate must be experienced first hand. They make you feel valued and in turn give you good value for your buck. My dinner companion and I had the the family combo, (two folks with healthy appetites) and we were unable to finish. The waitress, as well as the owner made sure that we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. The enthusiasm of the proprietor and waitress was infectious, most folks that were dining that evening were cross talking and friendly! A fellow diner who noticed we were disappointed at not being able to purchase beer with our meal complimented us with 4 bottles gratis! It's really not that great. All I can taste is butter! The seafood was fresh so that's why it's worth the stars. They dont taste like frozen seafood. The clams were small and they can't do separate source when you order different items, for example clam for no spicy and the snow crabs in more spicy. Everything throw into one bag whereas other similar seafood join will allow you order them separately. Sometime you are ordering for a group of people and not everyone wants the same level of hotness. Also they only have 2 sources to pick from.
