Anyway, service was great and quick for dealing with our large party, & they weren't slow that night in general. Everything was perfect & every order & drink was correct. We closed the place down and the staff never wavered on efficiency nor quality. I had a ribeye & a few Old Fashioned's. The Old Fashioned was so perfectly prepared it became the drink of the table. We were all drinking them. My rib eye was perfection (pic included). I would definitely recommend this place in this updated review. If you like a delicious tender flavored steak or good seafood , this is the place to go. Set up in a bistro, small cozy atmosphere, we thought it would be much more formal, but it's not. Come as you are and enjoy their amazing aged meats and seafood. The back is more like a sun porch with a wood-burning stove to keep it warm in the winter. Beautiful wine racks adorn the ceilings. Service is fast and good with having water at every table. The steak was so tender you could cut it with a butter knife. I had the small filet mignon, which looked a little sad on the large plate as there are no sides that go with it other than two small onion rings, which I could've done without as they were not too good. Everything is à la carte. I ordered the Parmesan asparagus, which was delicious then cooked to perfection. We also had a side of steak fries, which were cooked in a truffle oil and also sprinkled lightly with the cheese. My husband got steak on the bone was also delicious. With a cozy atmosphere and delicious steak who could go wrong. But bring your wallet. It is not for the cheaper customer as everything is quite pricey and adds up quickly with the à la carte items. Frequently I visit Lukas in Warren my experince is always outstanding. Metty, Sherri, Sonya, Samantha, Haily and Diana the best hardest workers make sure everyone is accomadated. Most places don't even check the tables as often as the girls do here. Being that I go out often some places are loud, bar is dirty or the food isn't as good. Lukas food is excellent between the steaks and even if you get a pasta dish always delicious. read more

Food was Amazing! With the exception of my husband's lobster bisque was watery and short ribs were very fatty but ok. My spinich and brie salad was wonderful. Our friends enjoyed the tuna and shrimp and scallops meal. I had the shrimp and scallops fra Diablo quite good. Service was good. Very nice environment but what was unfortunate is that there was a large birthday party with loud children often running wild. I had made reservations as this was a special occasion and would have opted to sit outside to get away from the noise and disruption if I had known or been given the choice. Took my husband, son and 2 granddaughters there on Thursday, 6/4/26 for my husband's 61st birthday. My son arrived beforehand and informed the waitress that it was his dad's bday. The waitress was not very attentive. She made no attempt to help celebrate his birthday as was done by another waitress for another table who was also celebrating a birthday. I had to ask another waitress to let her know that I was pissed no one came out to sing happy birthday with his dessert. For a $300.00 bill was not happy with our service at all and the meal was ok. Calamari was tastey. Husband's lobster tail was good. His seafood fra diavolo was just ok. My flounder francaise was ok. Son's steak was ok. Lukas I visited Lukas on May 1st to celebrate my 22nd birthday and had an amazing experience from start to finish. I made a reservation for six, and the woman I spoke to on the phone was incredibly kind and helpful. When we arrived, the hostess warmly greeted us, seated us right away, and handed us menus--she was also very sweet. Our server took our order promptly, and we received our appetizers quickly. Throughout the night, the service was exceptional. Multiple food runners and bussers checked in on us, refilled our drinks the moment they got low, and cleared empty plates right away--which we really appreciated (no sleeves in dirty dishes!). Everyone in our party loved their entrée--everything was cooked perfectly. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel well taken care of. I went to Lukas for the first time tonight. The service was fast and excellent. I am particular about my cocktails. I ordered an Old Fashion. It was good. I sat in the patio area and it was warm and quaint. Let's get to the food.... I had mussels, Thai calamari and a crab cake. All EXCELLENT! I can't wait to go back for the calamari. I eat out ALOT, this was my first time here. The decor is cute but with an old school touch. The food and drinks were actually tasty. Where this restaurant needs help is in the energy of staff. The place was very draub no excitement at all. We had a few waiters come over and service us i was not clear who my actual waiter was, all of them did there job but without personality. Specials were explained with no personality, orders taken no personality check brought with no personality... because I have eaten out everyday this week my restaurant edicate is on high alert. It really stood out to me that the waiters were just going through the motions and how that stance dulls the dining experience. Also the matride did not come over and ask how everything's was I didn't see this happen for any table. Just low energy all around/ across the board. But besides that the food was actually good. But we care about energy and the experience, so even though the food was good we will not be going out of our way to frequent this restaurant. The atmosphere could have also benefited from low music playing... it was just very dry. They could take some pointers from Uproot across the street. Props to the staff at Lukas for hosting a surprise birthday dinner for our music director at church. They kept the dishes coming for a large group like ours, and even gave us space to mingle, socialize and greet the celebrant. Grilled Octopus Seafood Salad This was our first time at Lukas' and it definitely won't be our last. I had been meaning to go there for years and somehow never made it. I purchased a Groupon which made it all even better. We arrived and were greeted warmly by the hostess. I told her we had an OpenTable reservation and she took us right to an area towards the back bar area which was quite nice with a fire burning in a stove. She asked us if we wanted to sit at a high table or low and we opted to sit at a low one with my back to the warming fire. It was perfect because it was a bit chilly that night. A young gentleman came and brought us water and warm bread. Our server came and took our order after we had a few minutes to look over the menu. We started with the grilled octopus for an appetizer which in my opinion was quite yummy. My date still says he likes it better at this place in Newark but I actually liked it better at Lukas'. My date ordered the seafood sald for his meal and I, the chicken penne with vodka sauce. I could have drank that sauce it was soo good. My date first thought that his seafood salad was small but he ended up getting full and taking half of it home. LOL. The only thing I didn't care for was that we were sitting right by the bar and the bartender was talking to two patrons, one of which was kind of loud. I got the impression that she used to work there and they were reminiscing about things and talking about drinks and such. I'm trying to have a nice romantic dinner and I'm overbearing conversations of recipes for cocktails. It's okay though. Had we known we would have requested to sit in the main dining room. When we arrived it didn't look like anyone was sitting there but when we left there were a few parties there. Next time we'll know better. We loved the vibe and atmosphere with the woodrbeams and floors. The lighting was beautiful as well. Our server was attentive and the MOD or owner checked to make sure everything was to our liking. Seems they are struggling to retain staff. A lot of the familiar faces who provide excellent service are gone. Three different servers waited on us throughout our dinner. We have come here often in the past and the food is good. A bit overpriced for the quality. But good. We had a large family celebration here for 22 people. (Not that large). It was arranged months before and we were supposed to get the space to the right when you first walk in. It was also confirmed a week before and the day of. Instead of the space we had discussed, they crammed tables into the rectangular area behind the bar in front. Except they only sat 18 people. They ended up having to cram another table at the end of the space, leaving almost no space to walk behind the chairs at the end. We had a great time because the family is close and we have fun together. But the service was disorganized, wrong orders, wrong drinks, just mass confusion. I do not recommend this for any event. I'd say 3 stars for the food and 1 star for the accommodation and service. But to be generous I'll just call it a 3 overall. Way too disorganized. read more

One soup was lukewarm, the other soup was super hot. The nice filet mignon was served with three lousy mushy onion rings and and a so so sauce. Steak knife was too hot to handle, Pork chop was dry, overcooked was too hot. Coffee was burnt and was finished before desserts were served. One check was presented when we requested two. Been passing by Luka's since we moved to the area and we finally decided to stop in. Front bar crowd was rowdy and loud so I was happy to be seated in the bar patio with the wood stove. Although a nice touch it was a little warm to be seated next to. Bread and water was sent promptly and the waiter gave us a moment before coming back for our drink and appetizers. Partner went with the colossal shrimp and I opted for the Caesar salad. Shrimp came with 4 pieces and the salad was large enough to be its own meal. As for the entrees the lamb chops were excellent! Well seasoned and great portions. Could do without the green onions they weren't necessary and it was nice the order came with a few onion rings. The asparagus was a little bland, I wasn't a fan. I opted for one of the chef's special, a Rigatoni Bolognese which was much more creamer than it was meaty. It was really enjoyable regardless and I had enough leftovers to take with me. Finally made it back to Lukas, the lovely hostess greeted us at the door and asked if preferred to dine inside or out and we chose to eat outside in their lovely patio room. Our server was Vinnie and he was wonderful! We had some fresh bread and for our appetizer our favorite Thai chili calamari. For the main course my hubby had the Seafood Fra-Diavolo he said it was delicious and I had the Seafood Crepes Champagne. They were wonderful! First time customer. Service is fantastic - attendance to patron's needs, checking in, filling water, etc. Ceasar salad was remarkably fresh in all ways, homemade dressing authentic and delicious. Both the rack of lamb and NY Strip steak were cooked exactly to order with melt-in-your-mouth texture. No steak knives required (although they would have been appreciated). Asparagus was also grilled to perfection. Speaking of asparagus, the portion was rather scant. Sides come at an extra cost, so I personally expect more than SIX pieces of half-sized stalks as a proper size. When asked several times about the size of the side, server repeatedly smiled and confirmed it was the norm. The cost: $7.95 for these twigs, when you can buy one pound of asparagus at Whole Foods for $3.95 ($4.95 if you prefer organic). In addition, Luka's includes an extra charge for payment by credit card. Whereas this is a new trend in restaurant pricing, I was not aware of this policy until I received the bill. Perhaps it was noted in small letters on the menu, but the establishment was less than transparent about it until I specifically asked about the charge on my bill (which would allegedly be removed if paying with cash). At an average of ~$40 per main dish, it does seem a bit petty and a little sneaky. We did have one challenge during our meal in that green onions smothered our meat orders (much more generous than the asparagus), along with two onion rings on top of each dish. This, too, was not indicated on the menu. We have an onion allergy so we had to send the order back - a move we don't often choose given the unpredictability of whether the replacement will include a momento of the chef's potential ire. Waitstaff was quick to amend the order, and the kitchen responded very quickly with (assuming?) a replacement. Would definitely recommend Luka's if you're looking for excellent meat dishes in terms of quality product & preparation, with the suggestion that food allergies be offered upon ordering. I encourage caution re: which sides - if any - you pick given the tiny (yes, TINY) portion we were given, as well as awareness that cash payment will cost you less. read more

Horrible service. Horrible pre- frozen food items. Low quality steak. Gloppy sauces. Even the lemonade was bottled lemon juice. Tasted like it had sour mix in it and no sugar. I've never seen a steak cooked medium so difficult to cut. The glasses of water were shaking on the table as I sawed through it. Lots of obvious and awkwardly placed surveillance cameras too. We left so much food on our plates and went over to Uproot for what was an amazing meal. But we threw just under $300 out of the window at Lukas. We hadn't been to Lukas Seafood & Grill in quite a while and decided to give it another try. We were seated at a high top table in their enclosed patio. We shared a calamari appetizer which was very tasty but we should have stopped there. The shrimp and scallops were very lackluster. The Chilean sea bass was the absolute worst I have ever tasted anywhere. The bolognese was the best plate and that is sad when you're selling yourself as a seafood restaurant. It's obvious that the passion to be exceptional is gone and every is just simply going through the motions so they can collect a paycheck.
