This is the type of place that gives the high-end cupcake genre a bad name. These cupcakes came with the high price of a boutique bakery, but also with a hefty dose of bone dry cake, zero flavor or presentation innovation coupled with a side of bad attitude from the person on duty. I'm ok with spending a fair amount on a single cupcake, however you'd be better off spending your $4 on a dozen cupcakes from Walmart. Sadly, they're far superior. I didn't take pictures. I just dove right in. The minute you walk in through the doors, the aroma hypnotizes you. Heavenly I tell you! I have a HUGE sweet tooth (my dentist can confirm this busy taking one look at my teeth. Hello cavities). I'm trying to stay away from overly sweet things. This cupcake was fluffy and light. The center has a icing curl, it is not spread entirely over the cupcake, and best of all...it is not cloying. The sweetness (in my opinion) was just right. You just need a tiny bit of the icing. I read through some of the other reviews and was very surprised by the negative comments. I have had their cupcakes, regular cakes, cheesecake, cookies and macaroons . I have been a customer for years now and have enjoyed their sweets so much that I even ordered our wedding cake with them! Adriana was with us every step of the way, helping us with flavors, picking a stand, and the delivery to the venue. It went so smooth and our guests loved all the flavors we had! Red velvet, almond coconut, and chocolate. I recommend this shop every chance I get. I would suggest if you had a bad experience, maybe try them again. read more

I'm pretty sad and disappointed that other yelpers didn't get good service at this spot. With that being said, I think they may be turning things around and it might be worth a second visit from everyone. Reason being my wife and I stopped by on a whim after eating at a near-by restaurant to look into ordering a cake. When you first walk in your senses are hit with the aromatic bountifulness of sugar! It smells so good in there that you just want to eat the air! Then looking at everything just solidifies the urge to want to eat everything! I'll admit the service wasn't immediately at the counter but after she came around from a baking rake, the flour on her apron made it clear she was in the middle of mixing up some batter, which I took as evidence that you get freshly made cakes here! When we inquired about the cakes the lady started offering us some of the cupcakes to sample and refused to let us pay for them! We liked the almond/cheesecake one so much that I just bought a mini cake to go. Oh and for the other yelper that wasn't sure about the fruit, well they're apricots and it was a pleasant surprise that really made the cake burst with flavor. They offer coffee and such but I didn't get any. I could easily see myself going back and ordering a cupcake, coffee and some sugary air! As for prices, I'm not sure why it's marked as $$$ since the cupcakes are no more priced than a small, stale cookie or processed, bland pound cake from Starbucks. I had an extremely poor experience with The Cake Boutique. I had ordered cupcakes and cookies for my baby shower over a month in advance. When we went to pick up the order at the time that they had designated for pick up nothing was done. We waited until the last possible minute. But, time ran out and we were forced to take cupcakes and cookies that had not been completed. Entire parts of the design that we had discussed had been left out. Some of the cupcakes and cookies were left completely without design. They offered no discount for the order that was not finished. The cookies and cupcakes were part of the entire theme of the shower and having them look carelessly finished was a huge disappointment. read more

Will NOT be back, found a hair in my sons birthday cake and the manager never cared to contact me back for any resolvable issues. Please don't get me wrong her cake was delicious & very nicely done but not too sure if it was worth one of my guests finding a hair in it! Took about 4 days just to get it ordered, because no one would call me back and their over the phone skills are horrible. The owner never contacted me for a price I had to call up to 3 times per day to try to speak with her. Just a very simple call or better communication would have helped to solve this issue but I couldn't even get that. read more

I was very hesitant to place my order with The Cake Boutique given the previous reviews, but I was very happy with my cupcakes order for a little girl's christening and all of my expectations were met by Adriana and her team. Adriana took my order by phone and was very willing to work with me to determine exactly what I wanted. The cupcakes were ready on time and looked perfect. They were moist and very tasty. I visited the Cake Boutique with my husband about 4 months ago to try some cupcakes for . The décor was nice enough. When my husband asked about some of the ingredients none of the employees were able to really understand his questions. Luckily I speak Spanish, so we settled on 1/2 dozen cupcakes. I'm going to be blunt. The 6 cupcakes that we took home to try with our children were quite dry and had very chalky flavor that left an unpleasant after taste. As far as the cake decoration; I didn't see much, but it seemed pretty sloppy and amateurish. Fortunately, I found a better pastry shop a week later. Won't be back. read more

WORST PRODUCT AND SERVICE EVER!! I am a former cake designer and am currently an events coordinator so I think I have a pretty good idea on what to expect. First the cake that I received was nothing like the pic I gave. Either the decorator is color blind or just didn't care. When I saw the cake i was so horrified especially because it was a day before my event. I wanted to cry. I decided I would just return the cake and by cupcakes from Walmart. Yes Walmart can do a better job than this place! Not only did the lady insist it was exactly like the pic, but she was extremely rude and refused to give me my $100 back for a horrible job on a 20 person cake. This was a simple cake if done right but this person just has no clue what they are doing. Because they refused to give my money back i figured fine just accept it. My 7yr old son (birthday boy) commented "not the best cake I've seen." Talk about a punch in the gut. Not only did it look awful but it tasted horrible the cake was dense and just tasted nasty! I read all reviews before coming out. Here is mine: Cute shoppe, very friendly service. Ordered macaroons which were delish; cheesecake and fudge cupcakes had good flavor, but I believe maybe the fridge might be set too high not allowing to fully savor the moment. The cupcakes were just too cold. I believe cupcakes would be amazing if they were closer to room temperature. Latte needs more coffee!!! Tasted too much like steamed milk. I wish I could give this place a zero. I ordered my custom birthday cakes from Cake Boutique in the past without having an issue, but this year was different. I ordered 2 custom cakes and some sugar cookies a month prior to my son's birthday party. I picked up my order at 10 am on the day of the party which started at 1 pm. I attempted to cut both cakes at 3 pm and they were frozen solid. I thought she gave me an ice cream cake. It was an awful experience for me and my 5 year old son. The cake is the centerpiece of a kid's party. I had 50+ guest waiting for cake they never got to eat. The cookies were hard and when I attempted to eat one the icing crumbled off. This made it impossible for 4 and 5 year olds to eat them. After contacting the owner, she told me she didn't want the cakes to melt before the party and that's why they were frozen. I thought it was a fluke until August attended my godson's party yesterday and his cake was frozen too. If you want an edible cake steer clear of this place!!! read more

Went into look through their portfolio of designs to get an idea of what I wanted and was told I needed to go online and look thru either Facebook or Instagram myself or bring a picture of what I wanted. (I was puzzled because I've been here a few times before to get a cakes and when I asked for a "catalog" I was handed an iPad with their portfolio of previous designs.) this time I wasn't. I turned to my assistant and said ok let's go. I'll look up the designs and call tomorrow and left. I called today and said I needed to order a cake for Saturday afternoon and she said she wasn't sure could get it done in 3 days but needed 5 days. I asked "so you leave them sitting for 5 days in a refrigerator?" She replied, "is that bad?" Then she went on to say I was rude for walking out and not ordering the previous day. I said I tried but you all didn't have anything for me to look at so I did what she said to do and went home and figured out how to see her work on social media myself. I finally got to her work and selected a cake design and called her and she said was rude. She claims to be the manager and the girl that told me to go look myself was her daughter then when I asked to speak to the owner she said she was the owner now too. Lol. This place does not know how to do business. We ordered food from them for a baby shower. It was over an hour late for the pick up time we had decided upon. The food got there after the guests. Then the food was not as it had been decided upon. Some of the cupcakes were missing decorations and the cake topper we had gotten was the same way. They offered only a few free macaroons as a sorry. If I could give zero stars, I would. When we placed an order, they gave us one price, but when we picked it up the day of the event they were charging us TWICE the amount given! The owner was rude, unapologetic, and screaming curse words in Spanish from the back... so much so that her own employee was apologizing for her behavior. Besides the fact that she was charging us more than promised, one of the cakes' design was WRONG! If the event hadn't been only a few hours away, I would have preferred taking my business elsewhere. Horrible experience! Stay away from this bakery. Ordered gender reveal cake and requested for caketo be blue inside, to reveal gender..IT WASN'T BLUE!! Reveal was for my husband, family and 45 guests. Went to bakery to see where the disconnect in communication was and was told that it was my fault! That at my initial visit with one of the employees (can't remember her name) I wasn't technically placing the order. I was suppose to have provided that information upon my second visit. First of all, I explained at length the color scheme, writing on the cake, and blue color during our first visit. I returned a second time to give the down payment. The employee that helped me at that time was a different employee that DID NOT inform me of their process of re-explaining cake specifications. She knew my total and gladly took my payment. Never once did she ask a single question. How is it that every detailed explained during my first meeting was executed except for the most important, blue cake color? Upon my return this afternoon I was told by 2 employees that "I should have known" I needed to discuss the details on my second visit. How would I have known if it was never explained to me? Whatever their process and protocols are, are beknown to me. How am I at fault? Not only did they take zero responsibility but they were very unapologetic and offered no resolve. They both were talking down to me..thank God I'm bilingual and was able to carry-on the conversation in English and Spanish! Arguing with a 5 months pregnant customer over YOUR mistake..very classy!! All 45 of my guests saw their screw up and will not be supporting their unprofessional, lackluster bakery. read more
