I have been a big advocate of alternative medicine that does NOT come from a pharmacy. The only downside is that it can get pricey. Insurance won't cover it. I have been looking for a regular clinic that has a good variety of products flower/edibles and more. They always welcome with a smile and remember regulars. I've gone to this dispensary countless times over the past few years, I've never had a problem before. I've gone in today with the same paper ID that I've been using (my license is coming in the mail) the past two times. I waited 20 minutes in line for a 4:20 goodie bag and instead of checking me in and using my school ID (that is current) and government issued paper license, they turned me away. They also acknowledged that it's their fault that they've been letting me in. There should've been no issue, seems weird that today, when a big event is happening, is the only time I've been turned away. Won't be continuing my business here. read more

My girlfriend, and I have been going to the cake house since they first opened, but we will never go back. I only gave one star because I had to. If it was up to me, I would give none. They overfill their shelves, so my girlfriend on accident dropped a small jar of flower, and she was forced to pay for it. They know we were loyal customers, yet they told us there was nothing they can do about it, and we had to pay for it. They had no problem, simply picking up the weed from the floor, with glass on it, and putting it in a paper bag for us to pay for it. Other dispensaries wouldn't make you pay for something you break on accident, especially if it's something they did themselves, such as over filling shelves . I have found that using marijuana has been more effective for treating my medical conditions than taking up to 20 pills a day prescribed by the Veterans Administration, which doesn't care about the side effects. I have visited numerous dispensaries across California and other states and have generally had positive experiences. However, I recently encountered an issue at Cake Dispensary in Vista. They did not honor their product when a vape pen did not work immediately after purchasing it. Unfortunately after years of shopping here (since 2021) I'm having to take the majority of my business elsewhere. The sales people are amazing, they have a great selection and vibe. I disagree with the other reviews about the sales people. Having worked in retail management, it's obvious when the management is the problem. After being a customer for that long it came down to not being willing to exchange a $15 battery (that I bought on from them at a sales persons recommendation on April 28th) without me being willing to drive back to them for the third time that day to figure out if it was the battery or the cartridge. I explained that none of my cartridges had worked with it, I didn't want a refund, and I wasn't even trying to exchange the more expensive part (the cartridge). The manager didn't come out to talk to me, left his team to deal with it. I called in the drive home (after just going ahead and buying another battery) to see if maybe the sales person just didn't understand. Nope. Manager wouldn't get on the phone with me, so I had to explain it all again to the team lead, who said it wouldn't help to talk to the manager cause he is the one that made the rule....which was exactly why I asked to speak with him. I gave them every change to make this right. My partner and I will be stopping in only for things we can't get elsewhere from here on out and to see our buddies that have worked there as long as we've shopped. Also, best security you'll find at a dispensary. So sad the management is the downfall of this place and letting down all the awesome people that work there! read more

Don't go to cake house IN VISTA they are extremely racist and they refused to take back my cart that they told me was threaded and LITERALLY called the cops on me. Their was a white couple in front of me that got a full refund on 4 disposals and they were also extremely rude about the return. When I went they refused to return my one cart and called the cops on me because I was literally just going back and forth with the manager. They never asked the person that helped me if they told me the wrong information. Made MANY racist remarks regarding how I was acting, even tho at this time I was only having a calm back and forth with the manager that was missing a tooth in the front. Never raised my voice or said anything rude and was a constant supporting customer of this place. Got banned for trying to return an item they literally told me the wrong information about the product. As I was living the store the manager threatened me as I was walking out the store regarding knowing my address since they take your ID.
