    Chloe sitting in "place"
    Cuter'n B.

I have a 15lb white female American Eskimo mix named Chloe who has had some behavioral issues that I did not know how to manage. She would be fearful and overly submissive. Shaking and panicking during a ride in the car. Quick to flee out the front door when given the chance where she'd run up to people and bark scaring them and make me late for work. Upon meeting another dog she would roll over and show her stomach. I knew that this was a sign of surrender and I did not see in her the confidence that I had seen in other dogs I had owned in the past. I also found walking her on the leash a struggle. She would either be sidewalk surfing or lurching at other dogs on leash. I contacted Kirsten and she started doing training walks with her three times a week. I also met with Kirsten on a weekend to work on Chloes escaping the front door when she found a chance. Chloe's behavior is now balanced and calm. Kirstens working with Chloe and education for me has resolved or greatly improved the issues Chloe was having and now she's a much calmer dog. I highly recommend working with Kirsten if you are having similar experience.

As a result of the confidence and skills we gained through working with Bill, my daughter decided to enter her dog in a 4-H Dog Show. We were thrilled when she placed in the competition! It was a wonderful experience and a testament to the progress both our dog and our family have made. We are extremely grateful for Bill's continued encouragement and dedication. Although both of us have had dogs before, we didn't think things through, and the new dog quickly turned our life upside down. The biggest problem was that she was chasing our cats everywhere around the house and had terrible manners. We were worried that we would have to return her to the shelter if she couldn't cohabitate with our 4 cats. I scoured reviews on Google and Yelp and came across Primal Needs Behavioral Solutions. I reached out and Blair was willing to hop on a call right away. He patiently listened and answered several questions, then explained he offers two programs; a month board and train or virtual training with Zoom session checkpoints. Although it was an investment, we opted for the board and train for Amber. At the same time, we did the virtual training for our other dog Ginger, a golden retriever. While Blair worked one on one with Amber at his house, we went through the online modules in the virtual program. The program is very detailed, including videos and narratives for each section. Blair was readily available for any questions or concerns we had along the way. The program does use an e-collar and we were initially apprehensive, but once we understood this was simply a tool to get our dog's attention and tried it on ourselves, it was not an issue. Like most programs, you get out what you put in. We did the work, learned a ton from Blair, and made a friend for life, but most importantly, Amber came back behaving like a different dog and the training worked! She is still a sweetheart, but now listens and behaves well. Blair has taught us how to communicate, correct, and redirect our dogs when needed. The transfer training sets Blair and Primal Needs Behavioral Solutions apart from the rest. We couldn't have done it without Blair and highly recommend his training. Jenn & Astin

I was referred to Blair's Primal Needs Behavioral Solutions Virtual Guide Program and purchased it…read morefor $1,249. I appreciated the clear upfront pricing on the website, and Blair himself reached out to me the same day. You'll need a few extra tools (kennel, e-collar, retractable leash, etc.), and Blair provided a full list with direct Amazon links to the best pricing, which made things simple. I shared my goals and my dog's starting point with Blair--my 2-year-old Husky mix (male) loved to jump and pull on the leash. The program is self-paced with pre-recorded videos, required reading, and Zoom sessions with Blair to review progress. The program foundation is a daily schedule. The schedule can be modified to fit your day to day routine like for people who work M-F. I'll admit--I was originally against e-collars. I thought they were cruel. Blair took the time to educate me, and I even tried the collar on myself first. It's not torture--it's a communication tool, and when used correctly it makes all the difference. Blair is incredibly responsive. I would apply what I learned, record myself working with my dog, and send him the video. His feedback and corrections were always constructive and on point. The biggest takeaway: learning how to correct your dog correctly. Once you understand that, you can teach your dog just about anything. Results? My dog no longer jumps or pulls on the leash, and as a bonus, he'll stay in place while I eat meals! If you're dealing with behavioral issues, it's often just a breakdown in communication--and Blair teaches you exactly how to fix that. Plus, his videos are entertaining and humorous. I highly recommend this program. If you take it seriously and commit, it truly works.

Now, our Houla has gone through basic obedience training a while back and knows commands, but just is a bit "independent" at times and it can be challenging. Nick was able to guide us on how to train our Houla, using verbal commands, non- verbal hand commands, available tools, and his vast experience. I swear he is a dog whisperer. Please remember, YOU have to do the work too. You cannot expect anyone to train up your dog and not put in the required effort to maintain and reinforce the training. We have been guilty of that in the past too. No more though! Our desire is to have a well trained k9, who consistently follows commands and is a valued part of our family pack. We believe in Nick to much that 1) we will enroll our Houla in additional programs Consistent K9 has to offer and 2) have already refused to be poached by another trainer! We are so pleased with how the training is going and with Consistent K9. Thank you Nick!!

Let me be clear, Kait is a miracle worker. No joke…read more We were looking for a dog trainer because our 1.5 year old pup had several bad habits we wanted to break. He pulled to an insane degree when we went on walks, he was prone to darting out the front door, and he jumped up on guests when they came to our house. Leash manners were my primary concern because sometimes our elderly family members liked to walk my dog, and I was afraid that the dog would pull so hard they would fall and injure themselves. I interviewed multiple reputable dog trainers in the area, but Kait was the only one who listened to my primary concerns and said she would address those right off the bat. The others seemed to have a pre-designed series of lessons and were not willing to deviate. To be clear, my husband had incredibly low expectations for dog training. He thought that our dog was so stubborn (he is) and his hunting instincts were so ingrained (they are) that he would always pull on a leash to keep sniffing for prey. My husband was convinced that this would be a waste of time and money. Kait came to our house for our first private lesson, and it's an understatement to say our expectations were low. Kait observed us interact with our dog, and even coined the term "sled dog" when watching him pull as we walked him down the street. She showed us some leash drills and then had us practice with him. By the end of the hour long lesson, the pulling was significantly better. Not gone, but it made it where we weren't using our body weight to hold him back just to get to the end of the block. I was impressed, but my husband was still skeptical. We ended up doing a total of 8 private lessons with Kait, and my dog's behavior has changed monumentally. We can walk him with a loose leash, and only a few occasional reminders during our walks. When he sees other dogs, he stares at them, but he doesn't try to lunge at them to play. If our front door is open, he stays back and doesn't dart away. He also rarely jumps up on people now. Most notably, after just a few lessons, my husband became an ardent believer in Kait's amazing dog training abilities. He now agrees that hiring Kait was one of the best things we did for our dog and our peace of mind. If I could give Kait 10 stars, I would! I have recommended her to as many people as I could, and I wouldn't hesitate to hire her again. With Kait's help, you absolutely will be amazed by your dog's improvement. Hire this woman before her schedule books up!
