The Capital Burger at Reston Town Center offers gourmet, juicy burgers and a comfortable atmosphere with a large bar and multiple seating options. It provides a steakhouse-like burger experience, with an extensive wine list and a variety of cocktails. We visited for breakfast, and their breakfast burger was excellent--juicy and satisfying. The pancake was simple yet delicious, topped with maple syrup, powdered sugar, and plenty of blueberries. The applewood-smoked bacon and egg on a brioche burger were okay. However, the coffee was disappointing: the cappuccino was too acidic, and the café latte was more like a café au lait with lots of milk. Service was adequate, but the upscale ambiance felt outdated and in need of upgrades. The nearby parking garage operated by Hyatt charges for parking, unlike other garages in Reston Town Center, which are free on Sundays. Street parking is also free on Sundays with a 2-hour limit, so avoid parking at the Hyatt garage.

It's a really hearty breakfast burger early on Saturday morning. Nice service, perfectly cooked food, and a clean bar concept. I am excited to try more food here.

After a FANTASTIC NYE celebration and a great nights sleep we couldn't bring ourselves to leave the hotel so here we are. I must say for hotel restaurant fare THIS FOOD SLAPS. Let's start with the house made bread and butter pickles. My word! So crunch and semi sweet with the onions? We had two servings and asked if they were for sale? Drinks were perfect. That Old Fashioned with the smoked candied BACON, sweet, smoky, STRONG. If you're a bourbon drinker YOU KNOW. The Playa Paradiso fruity with tequila was okay needed another shot tho. The signature Capital Burger... juicy and flavorful as is. Don't add one condiment! I upgraded to the truffle fries. They were garlicky and delicious. The calamari was spicy crunchy and mouth watering. The Seared Salmon salad was delicious with the hot honey and fresh sweet pineapple. Cozy spot , good food and excellent service. Hope you get Andre's section He gave me pickle to go

I stopped by for lunch and ordered the roasted mushroom and Swiss burger which came with my choice of side- I chose Brussels sprouts. The burger was very good! Cooked well and very tasty. The bun was buttery and soft. Patty was moist and well seasoned. Mushrooms and Swiss pairing was great! The Brussels sprouts were okay. A little too sweet for me.

Place is alright, I knew it wouldn't be like Capital Grille proper but parts of the restaurant could use some renovation. Anyway, food is alright as well but for a place that focuses on burgers I was a little bit disappointed. I'm not sure what I was expecting but the Blue Cheese and Black Truffle Burger was a little bit flavorless which is strange given that blue cheese is usually very strong. I couldn't even really tell that it had blue cheese to be frank. Anyway price point it's decent and there's a good beer selection, in my mind it's the ideal happy hour hang out after work. Too bad I don't work nearby.

I just had a wonderful late night dining experience at The Capital Burger. I am staying at the hotel, and it was very conveniently located, plus they are open late. The atmosphere was relatively chill, and the restaurant itself was not particularly full, although the bar area was hopping. The space was well lighted and immaculately clean. My server, Ariana, was absolutely lovely, and her service was attentive and friendly. She made sure that my water glass was full and that I had refills on my Diet Coke. You can tell that she takes pride in her work, that she is a "people person," and that she enjoys her job. The manager stopped by my table a couple of times to check in, and he was friendly, professional and conversational. I was very happy with my order, which was a bacon cheeseburger with a side of brussels sprouts (in lieu of fries) and a Belgium chocolate mousse for dessert. The burger was cooked perfectly, and the quality of the meat as well as the accoutrements was high. Everything was delicious, fresh, nicely presented. I enjoyed the experience thoroughly, and I will certainly be back.

I dropped in at the Capital Burger on my way to Washington Dulles International Airport. The salmon was grilled perfectly. The dish of the salad was a bit small. So, I had to eat it carefully to avoid spilling the salad. Since I got accustomed to the size of meals in the U.S., almost all the dishes are felt to be small now. The person there was kind and attentive. I am satisfied with these last dishes in the U.S.

I had lunch here while staying here for a conference, and it was lovely! The pickles that arrive immediately as a starter were delicious. Our server was so kind and helpful! Our meal arrived quickly and was delicious. I had the calamari with a side of truffle fries. The fries were PERFECT. The calamari was cooked perfectly, as well. The service was the best part of the experience. Our server was nice enough to give me a to-go soda. We popped in that evening to see if we could get disposable silverware for dessert takeout we'd grabbed from a nearby restaurant, and they gladly obliged our request.

This is for a room service order. I got the Capital Burger and it was delicous! So juicy and easy to order. Also, I sat in the restuarant for a few drinks with coworkers and the service was great. After hours, it does get packed, but they have enough tables to have you and your group seated. Service was great for the times that I was there.

Pretty mixed feelings on this place now. They used to be sooooo good. But after the most recent visit, it seems like the food has declined in quality. The burgers normally melted in your mouth. But now it felt like they switched how they made the patties because they definitely don't melt anymore. And it also feels like the burgers themselves don't taste as flavorful. It's like they forgot seasoning or something. And considering the prices are now all over $20 when they used to be $15 a year ago, I expect more from them. They upped the prices and reduced the quality. Quite sad considering I used to recommend them all the time. The service has also gone down in quality over the past year. It can be not busy and yet you won't see your server for 15 mins at a time. There's a line that can be drawn about visiting too often and not enough. The ambiance is darker. Definitely makes it feel more intimate and romantic. Wish the food still matched that energy. I can't highly recommend this place anymore. Perhaps they will read their recent reviews and do better. It's sad that something that shares The Capital Grille namesake is this disappointing.

The Capital Burger in Reston is a delicious spot for all of your burger cravings! Popped into this location on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant is dimly lit, spacious, and provides a welcoming atmosphere to small and larger groups alike. To start off the meal, we ordered the Parmesan Truffle Fries with Parsley. I really enjoyed how flavorful each fry was and finished these quite quickly :) For my entree, I went with the Capital Burger medium rare with a side of mash potatoes. The meat was juicy, but not the most flavorful. The Wisconsin Gruyere cheese and caramelized onions truly made the meal complete. I do wish I could have tasted the Shallot Aioli a bit more. The mash potatoes were smooth, but a bit bland. I would have appreciated some other flavor like garlic to accompany. The service was speedy and extremely accommodating! I appreciated the small touches like the jar of pickles placed at each table! Overall, a great burger spot for a date night or family event. This restaurant is connected to a hotel making it a convenient stop if you find yourself traveling in the area!

Post Great Falls stroll, we worked up a huge craving for a satisfying burger. Came here with high expectations and this spot, overall, fell shy of that. We ordered- -King Pao Brussel Sprouts ($9): very flavorful spicy soy glaze coating topped with bacon bits. devoured within a few minutes.. very tasty savory app & recommend! -Capital Burger w/ side of parmesan truffle fries ($25): cooked medium & very juicy, thick layer of carmelized onions, gooey gruyère cheese. fries were fragrant, perfectly crisp and delicious! Recommended by our server and definitely the better of the two entrees! -Ribeye Steak Sandwich w/ side of caesar salad ($33): even with the cabernet-braised red onions and gruyère cheese, this was dry and lacked seasoning/ flavor. Unfortunately, ribeye itself was not tender nor enjoyable with every bite. Our server spoke highly of this which is what sold us in getting it instead of a burger, but we were unsatisfied & extremely underwhelmed. Perhaps it was an off day, but would not recommend. Complimentary thick-cut pickles, instead of bread n butter, were tangy & fresh! Overall, most of the food was tasty but one of the main entrees was a HUGE miss. Service was good, though we felt like our server was overbearingly enthusiastic on this place offering the best..

    Pineapple Martini

I wish we had a Capital Burger in the Seattle area. It's always a good meal when I visit a Capital Burger spot, and at this northern Virginia location, the food was delicious. Solid food and drinks, but the service could be better. We visited The Capital Burger on a Friday night and sat at the bar where the place wasn't too busy, with just a few patrons dining in. This Capital Burger is located in the Reston Town Center in the Hyatt. The bar is nice, reflective of what you'd expect from a classy steakhouse, with dark wood furnishings and whatnot. I ordered the signature Capital Burger with a side of the kale salad, and had their signature pineapple martini. The bartender who was helping us seemed to be in a bad mood, as his answers were very short. When asked for recommendations for a cocktail, he said, "They're all good." He clearly did not want to make any conversation with us and didn't even acknowledge a thanks or anything. He'd drop off the food and leave. K, thanks. Can we get our waters refilled? We had to wave down another server for follow up. The food however, was delicious. If you like French onion soup, you'll like the signature burger, which is a beef patty with melted gruyere and caramelized onions. The kale salad was really good, with a peanut sauce. I recommend trying. The pineapple martini was also nice, with a nice foam and abundant pineapple flavor. I'd like to come back and check out their happy hour and perhaps a different kind of burger as they feature plenty others, along with some entrees, appetizers and desserts.

One of the highlights of the night was meeting the owner, Jason. We bonded over our shared Cantonese backgrounds and even got to meet his aunt, who was visiting from California and happened to be sitting next to us. It made the whole experience feel incredibly welcoming and personal. We ordered the Dynamite Roll, which was a solid choice with 8 generous pieces, and the Szechuan spicy wontons, which were juicy with just the right amount of heat. If you visit, definitely grab a seat at the bar. The bartenders are friendly, engaging, and really add to the experience. We were treated to a complimentary shot of Jäger with Jason and even got to sample their Lychee Pearl cocktail because the bartender had made an extra. The cocktails really stood out. Instead of masking everything with sugary juices, they use extracts and creative techniques to build balanced drinks that complement the flavors beautifully. Jason also mentioned that their cocktail specials change every month, so we already told him we'll be back regularly to see what new creations he comes up with.

The food, however, is very mediocre. They started with an amuse-bouche that was a fruit tart with cheese. Nice, light, and well balanced. We ordered the tuna tartare, along side a Japanese sweet potato dish and a salmon tartare that were both specials. The tartares were fine. Something you would get anywhere. The presentation was nice but their crisp or cracker was kind of useless as it doesn't have the structural strength to use as a vessel to eat the fish. The sweet potato was probably the best in terms of flavor albeit very rich. The main course is well things really fell apart. The beef dishes people ordered were either under cooked or over cooked. The free popcorn still isn't good or all that enjoyable, service can be hit or miss, drinks are expensive, and the food is very good. The Reston location does have plenty of large TVs, making it a solid place to catch a game. This was a guys' night out for food and drinks, but it's probably not going to become a regular meetup spot when a couple of easy changes could make a big difference. First, get rid of the popcorn, it's honestly laughable. Second, bring the drink prices down. A Wild Turkey and Coke shouldn't cost $14. We started with something to share. My biggest concern was value for the price, and the menu only had a few appetizers that felt both shareable and reasonably priced. The Bavarian Pretzel was good, although I wasn't a fan of the mustard dip. At $10, it's a decent value for two or three people. The chili nachos were tasty, but $18 is just too much for what you get. Even if they doubled the chips and chili, I'd still think they were overpriced by a couple of dollars. I'll definitely give them credit for the entrées. On my last visit I had the jambalaya, which was excellent. This time I ordered the Peruvian-spiced half chicken, and it was fantastic. I ended up spending almost $100. I had a good time and enjoyed the food, but Open Road has moved into my "splurge" category rather than my monthly hangout spot. Our server may have been new because service was slow, and the kitchen was also taking a long time to get food out, especially for a Friday night. I'm giving the Reston location four stars, just like Arlington. The food was tasty, I had a good time, and I'd come back, ... but.... the little things, especially the drink prices, lopsided menu pricing, and inconsistent service, keep it from being one of my spontaneous go-to spots.
