My brother was so kind as to purchase our tickets while I was in charge of snacks. It was basically my lucky day because as an AMC Stubs Insider, I was able to get my popcorn or drink (I can't quite remember) *FREE* due to December being my birthday month - yay! The seats are SO nice and comfortable. I love the fact they recline and even have a little table area. The movie screen and sound quality were both fantastic. I have some really, really nice AMC Theaters in Los Angeles and am pleased to report the AMC Maple Ridge 8 is in the upper echelon of theaters, too! Highly recommend - best theater in the WNY area.

My cousin purchased the tickets and I felt bad because I didn't want him paying for all of us...then I found out 4 movie tickets were $21 on cheap night. SERIOUSLY?!?!?!?!?!?! 2 movie tickets in TO or Ottawa on cheap night are slightly less than that price. Absolutely fantastic price for Cineplex theatres.

In addition, the movie is apparently shown with only a very short break between screenings, so the theater is dirty and smells AWFUL. It is like a refresher for me and a prepping for my visiting niece from the Philippines. It was nice to know what happened years ago. The film was short and informational but pricey for the admission fee in terms of viewing duration. Oh well, we were on a touristy place. The theater is big, clean and has good sound system. Location is in the park, inside the welcome center and walking distance going to the Maid of the Mist ride. Dining and shops are just within reach after the screening. Go for it if you feel like it.

We followed them from their previous location and hope to follow them if they reopen in another location. We wish the owners and staff well into the future. Unfortunately, the mall management did not renew their lease because it is closing to become another empty giant graveyard in the Town of Amherst, NY. The town is notorious for allowing developers destroy small business with no legitimate reason or near future plans other than to create humongous empty buildings.

I Love, with a capital L, the little tables on the recliners. I wish all of the local theaters would adopt them. It seems silly, but they are one of the main reasons this is my most frequented theaters... don't judge me. Lol. Where are they middle of the road? Cleanliness can be hit or miss. Some stuff is a little outdated, but I do believe they are working on that, there were new chairs going in recently. The food menu is hit or miss. I feel like out of all of the Regals that are in the area, they seem to not have what I am looking for most often, some of that is because I am here the most, but some of that seems to be an ordering issue or maybe Regal forces certain menu layouts even if a theater doesn't have those offerings... I am looking at you elusive Tandoori Popcorn. Last, but not least, is something I'll mention, but won't dock them any stars for, the location. I never personally feel uncomfortable here, solo or with company. I have had 2 partners that have said they would come with me, but not alone. I have also witnessed a couple of fights here. In this theaters defense, they can't help where they are located or who is around. In addition, they do a good job keeping security officers here, and I do believe they take customer safety seriously. Security seems to be responsive and I have seen them do everything from deescalate someone in the lobby, to deal with chatty/loud movie goers. Usually they are just a quiet presence and everything is smooth. There are less and less theaters in the area as time passes, I recommend supporting any theaters you can.

It has a somewhat strange, in my opinion, configuration with the stairs sort of winding around to get to the upper seats. Luckily we arrived before the (endless) coming attractions and commercials when the lights were still on. There was an entire 1/2 hour of commercials and coming attractions before the feature movie started. The theater loses a star for that 1/2 hour of commercials and terrible movie clips.

(For the uninitiated, it's a low-budget/cult-classic horror series for which they sell movie posters and run a sort of midnight market of horror kitsch in the lobby--it's a unique experience in all of the best ways.) There are only three screens. There's tons of parking. There is an unusually generous amount of handicap seating. It's often nearly empty, which adds a have-it-to-yourself ethos but makes you worry a bit about them paying the rent. So go there and make sure that this Buffalo gem sticks around for everybody.

Not really a review, just a report about Dipson Amherst Theatre's Secret Cinema, for Tuesday June…read more9, 2026. Because I've gone to Regal's Monday Mystery Movie a few times, I thought I'd compare the two events. IDK when the next Mystery Movie will be, but last night the next Secret Cinema was said to be scheduled for July 14. That would be Bastille Day, if I'm not mistaken, so maybe the movie will be an old French film, or something set in France. Maybe The Pink Panther. No way to know in advance. I did find out on June 8 that Secret Cinema does not show new movies, but went anyway. (The TCM channel is one of my favorites.) Last night The Wizard of Oz was shown on the big screen, after a short talk about the film. Tickets for Secret Cinema are $10 and concessions are half price. Or maybe that's just for popcorn. I'm not sure because all I got to drink was a 20oz bottle of Aquafina, which was $5.50. If you enjoy old movies, "old" being anything from vintage to classic, you will want to check out Dipson Amherst's Secret Cinema. Always a Tuesday night.

The love story tugs on your heart strings while leaving you wanting more. David, propose already!! The effects were so realistic, I jumped multiple times with the wild 4D!! Arachnophobia sufferers beware. This is a can't miss part of the Niagara Falls experience. I'm bringing my parents back next weekend.
