My 17 ram 3500 actuator threw a fault code. I took it to bergstrom ram oshkosh because they should…read moreknow their product. The service advisor showed my how far down in the engine bay the actuator is and how many parts had to be removed to access it. I had a service agreement so the service advisor was going to interface with them to save me a lot of money. They replaced my actuator at a total cost of $4000 but my part was only $1000 because of all his hard work on the phone. I decided to try to bulletproof my 6.7 if one little part cost 4 grand. I replaced the turbo and my 4 thousand dollar actuator. My third/newer actuator was ordered with the 64mm turbo. My new mechanic removed the passenger side wheel liner, removed four screws. Installed the $700 new actuator in 20 minutes. My cost for the actuator was $700 and I suppose that bergstroms price would have been much less than that. My point is that markup on labor and parts at bergstrom is beyond what any reputable dealer would charge. Beware of the sharks swimming around in that dealership because 400% markups are not ethical in any industry. I wouldn't do business at this oshkosh ram dealer on a dare. Take your truck to any other shop in the area until they flush the rats out of this dealership. They certainly cant fix the dealership with bergstrom personel. If you look at all the yelp ratings for every bergstrom dealership you see why using yelp is a HUGE MONEY SAVER as it exposes the crooks in the automotive business.

No wiring required as that was existing. 4 bolts, and the bill was 500 bucks. Shop rates have to be 300 bucks an hour to arrive at that big of a number. That would make a ford dealer blush. The lady figuring the bill is related to the owner, so maybe overcharging is rewarded?

I brought my wife's relatively new Hyundai Palisade to Dan, with a moderate dent on the side panel. I believe I paid out of pocket for that and Dan was very reasonable compared to other shops that I had received quotes from and I was more than satisfied with the end product. Recently, I had the misfortune of damaging the rear body quarter panel on a brand new 2021 Chevy Silverado. Initially my insurance company wanted to just mud it and paint over it and Dan fought on my behalf and told them that it is a brand new truck and that would just flat out look crappy. The insurance company changed their mind and Dan ended up doing the work and I picked the truck up today and it still looks brand new! So here is the last thing I will say to show you all what sets Dan and Gracy's auto body apart from everyone else. In the week that it took for Dan to order the new part for my truck, I scraped against something else causing what looked like significant damage to the other side of the truck. In under two years the weld had broken at the muffler. Two years! I've had cars go 10+ years without exhaust system problems. We take it back into them hoping they would honor their work. And they had the audacity to say that "someone" had worked on the exhaust system after they did! Which was a total crock. But they could "fix" it for another 700 dollars. Don't leverage or support them. That shop needs to dry up and go out of business.
