Bought a 2022 chevy silverado 1500 and went back in on day 30 as the lane assist would not work and they would not even look at it. They claim the warranty is just on the powertrain. Bergstrom's "Upfront", non-negotiable pricing is an excuse to charge you waaaaay too much. Run, won't walk from it. The price is NEVER a good deal and as they mention, it's not negotiable. If you try to talk reason to them, such as mentioning similar vehicles in the area for $1500-$2500 LESS, they'll just argue with you. RUN and save yourself the frustration and humiliation, and find a car at any other dealership where you can negotiate and feel comfortable that you got a good price. Almost guaranteed, ANY price will be lower than Bergstrom's "Upfront Pricing". In my case, i walked away from their "Upfront" price because it was $2500 too high. They called me a week later and told me the price went down $1000 after argueing with me for hours that the original price was so great. By that time, I hated the dealership and wouldn't buy a vehicle there if my life depended on it. STAY away from UpFront pricing unless the price is a fair price and you are protected from getting ripping off backend on warranty and financing. Good luck. He was simply AMAZING! He listened to my concerns and worked hard to make sure everything was fixed and ready to go. He was simply amazing! Horrible customer service. We put a deposit down on a Buick so we can test drive when it was available. We test drove a used vehicle and liked it but it had a noise to it. We brought it up to the salesman along with a few others things in the car, chips in car and funny smell. The Salesman told us that his Manager said we should just buy a new vehicle! I guess they didn't want to fix the issue with the car? I got a message saying they are taking the car to another dealership in Appleton and we can go there if we want to pursue it and he would be refunding our deposit. He didn't ask if we still wanted the car or if he could help us find something similar in better condition. So disappointed in this company in Oshkosh. read more

I have a 2014 Chevy Cruze 1.4L turbo. It has 58,000 miles on it, in the last three weeks I be had them repair a negative wire to the battery and tomorrow they will be replacing the positive wire and a cable going from the starter to the alternator. (Side note have other repairs done by a friend who is a very experienced mechanic and was trying to save me $$$ since the first repair wasn't the only problem but was the only one found at the time & was covered under warranty but I was told initially it wasn't until I pushed and pursed it further) Cost of first repair $135.00 Cost of second & third repair $500.00 Repairs done by friend -battery $ 160.00 -cam shaft sensor $25.00 -alternator $160.00 Grand totally of repairs in three weeks $979.00 ON A CAR THATS LESS THAN 5 YEARS OLD WITH LESS THAN 60,000 MILES ON IT!!!!! When questioned where I bought from and replied was told that if I had bought the car from them instead it'd be running no problems guaranteed. This is your car it's a GM you guys CLEARLY DON'T STAND BY YOUR PRODUCT IF YOU DID I WOULDN'T HAVE PAID 1,000 dollars in repairs in three weeks. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. After my car being there for 4 days I called to get an update and they forgot it was there and never actually put me on the schedule. Once they finally gave me a quote and a timeframe it'd be done by, they pushed it back 2 different times to over a week and a half later. Still isn't done. read more

I've never been bullied and treated like the service manager did to me in all my 49 years!!! Unbelievable! I bought a 2012 Ram 1500 crew cab from them in August of 2020 with almost 83,000 miles. Right when I rolled over to 91,000 miles engine light came on for #3 cylinder misfire! Cam and lifter failure!!! Been a lemon since day one of bringing it home! Was lead to believe it was a one owner truck. I paid for the carfax the other day after some serious engine problems. Come to find out I'm 3rd owner and the 2nd owner had it in the shop for work done every about 500-1000 miles towards the end of his ownership!!!! Before offing it to Bergstrom Chevrolet of Oshkosh!!LEMON!!!! Then then offing it in me!!!! I owe $22,500 on this loan! I purchased a 2019 Four Runner March 01, 2019. As far as the initial purchase went, I was very satisfied. However, I was to get a call when the bug shield came in from the salesman. I called more than 6 times trying to reach him regarding this. Finally, I called Toys for Trucks on my own, and worked this out. No big deal, right? I took my 84 year old father to replace his old Tacoma March 06, 2020. Again, as far as the initial purchase went, no problems. Actually we had a great experience with Derrick Owens. We did have to return, however, to get the tonneau cover and mud flaps installed on the 13th. We had an appointment, however we sat there for over 2 hours! After this, we were told that the mud flaps didn't fit! The fact is, they ordered the wrong ones! we are now waiting for our $87.00 refund because of the service department's blunder. I will NEVER take either of these vehicles to this store for service. It is terrible to say the least. read more

We were down sizing from two cars to one and decided that a SABURU. I contacted Bergstrom via the internet and found an Impreza hatchback was supposedly on SALE!. We went to the Bergstrom dealer in Oshkosh and took the car for a test drive. While we were test driving the car, the salesman said that the car was on sale but the sticker price was listed as $22,000. We were trading in a Hyundai 2014 Volester with only 8,600 miles on it. When they wrote up the offer, they gave us a decent trade value but put the full sticker price on the offer instead of the sale price. I think that STINKS!! I emailed the internet person but she did not respond. This is what gives car dealers a bad name. I will never go back!!! read more

Thank you so much :) The only reason I did not give a 10 is because inside the dealership it is like a waiting room for a hospital or something....nothing really 'warm' about it, just a big open space with a TV It gets the job done but there are other dealerships that I prefer because of a cozier feel...my personal favorite for oil changes is the Toyota dealership in Oshkosh, although we do not even own a Toyota...we take our Saturn and Chrysler there!!! read more

Nothing had been ready for us when it was time to pick up. We were to get window deflectors and did not, had to ask about our mats those, we received. We've had the car two weeks now and have not heard a word from the dealership, or our salesman. I would have figured that Larry would have gotten to us at least to apologize for the mess up when it came time for us to pick up the vehicle. He explained that everything would be ready for us when we got there at 2 and we were there until 4:30. There were also two other occasions that we were at the dealership and Larry would let us sit in his office from anywhere 1/2 hour to 50 minutes while he helped other customers. You know Bergstrom screwed my parents on 3 different occasions, we should have and I wish we had taken our business elsewhere!!! Your business is horrible!!!!!!! read more

Horrible oil change and tire rotation experience. I knew I had a rear tail light out and asked them to change the bulb. Service girl told me $10.xx to fix. I said great please fix it. Went to check out and I was handed a bill for over $30. I asked what it was for and manager said part was $10.cx rest was labor. I didn't have a problem with the price but with only being told part of the story up front. The manager to his credit waived part of it. I then left and went home. At 6pm I next drove my car and had dash board lights start flashing at me in my 3 year old SUV. Concerned I pulled over and googled what the lights meant. . It seemed it was a tire issue so I got out and walked around the car it appeared that the driver front was a bit low. In a panic I called local repair shop Felix Tire and Auto as I know Eric works late on Saturdays. He told me to bring it in. Once there he quickly discovered that the tech did not recalibrate my tires after rotation which was cause of the light. After Eric 'retaught' my tires (30 second fix) I was good to go and had no lights on my dash any longer. read more

Had expensive 100,000mi service with 4 wheel drive service, trans flush, radiator flush, fuel system cleaning and new tires - included front end alignment. Promised work would be done at 5pm - arrived at 5:15pm - told vehicle was being washed, waited until 5:45pm - only to have service manager go "check on" the car... lo and behold HE drove up with my car! I doubt the car was being washed...made me late for dinner appointment. THEN was told they forgot the alignment service!! WTF?! It goes hand in hand that alignment happens when you get new tires!! This visit was for the missed alignment. There were offers to pick up my car, etc., however I would NEVER have this Bozo TOUCH my car! There were no offers for compensation - new wiper blades? free oil change? Nope! Will never rely on this specific service manager (Dan Mrotek) again, let alone doubtful I will use Bergstrom again - unless they contact me and offer a break on my costs and time - rebate? fuel card? oil change?? I highly recommend you shop around before using this place! read more

I have never written a review in my life but the service I received buying a new car from Bergstrom was so poor I felt like I should let people know they should look to make a deal elsewhere. I purchased a used 2009 Cadillac CTS and the price was fair. I was driving in from out of town so I put $200 down to hold car and said I would be back to pickup the next day. So I drove two hours back with the financing in order got there and the finance guy and sales rep say due to some corporate technicality they need a different form of check so I will have to drive back the next day. No effort to find a way to take the payment there only concern was to pitch there financing. My rate was 1.65% which they couldn't come close too. I ask them to look at my 2005 CTS on a trade sales rep takes a photo of the VIN and checks the mileage and nothing else there supposed trade specialist never even viewed the car which is in excellent shape. So they couldn't even pretend they were going to make a reasonable trade offer. Which they didn't 6K under the BB value. So they tell me they will give me $50 for lunch if I bring back the receipt the next day from my lunch with my new check for the car because of they were couldn't accept the original and I had drove all the way back. Invoice get done sales completed then I notice they didn't remove my $200 down payment. But they can't cut checks on Saturday so they will have to mail. 8 guys in a finance dept but no one to cut a tiny $200 check. It took them a week to send the check and they left off the $50 they had promised for the lunch reimbursement. If I had known I would have taken them to lunch since apparently the dealership is short on cash. Only car I ever bought that did not get washed and cleaned prior to pickup. Sales Rep told me how extensively they service their used vehicles. Steering wheel shakes when braking so its out of alignment or balance on the tires. Seems to me they maybe two of the most basic services to check. Didn't get done. If you can find a similar deal on the car you are looking for anywhere else I recommend going anywhere else. This place should be in hassle car commercial. read more
