One was marked $29.99 and the other was $34.99 granted the colors was slightly off, but it had the SAME item number and looked identical. (Just like a TikTok video I seen how this girl showed different prices were hidden behind the front ones which was more expensive). Anyways, I asked her if I could get the darker color for the same price as the lighter one which was $29.99 and Rose looked at the item number and called a manager, Tamara came over and she didnt even bother to check on the tablet for the current price of the item. She just said no. Then I pulled up the item on hobby lobby website and there it is, $29.99 half off is $14 so I went back to Rose and showed her. She called Tamara over again and explained to her. Then Tamara came over and told me she would do it for me this time because online prices are cheaper since it costs shipping and handling? I guess? But regardless it's 50% off right now and the online price matched the store price. It just seemed like Tamara didnt want to deal with me from the beginning. I appreciate Rose for helping me out because this item was the reason why I came in. I've been waiting for it to be on sale.

I can't say much for TCGs, but every time I'm in the shop, there is always some activity with trading/selling or games being played on the handful of tables set up in the shop. My son and I have been RC customers here for nearly a year and the owner (Michael) and crew are friendly and willing. There is a good selection of popular ARRMA, Losi, Axial and Traxxas vehicles and just about every single new release is in the shop within a few days. There is a curated collection of popular race vehicles behind the counter as well as Kyosho Mini-Z and handful of more specialized brands that only enthusiast hobbyist would even know about like Xpress, MST, and Corally to name a few. There is a small selection of planes and helicopters, and I've been able to have the shop order kits that are more obscure and have it be available within a week or so. I've found the prices to be the same as what is advertised on larger online retailers like Horizon Hobby, A-Main, or Tower Hobbies; Hobby Addicts does have a loyalty program, so I do appreciate that the business understands your patronage is important to them. More importantly, every dollar spent at a local business ends up within the community, so come on out and support your local hobby shop!

Had an awesome recent visit to NorCal Hobbies with my son. I hadn't been there since 2015 after…read moretaking a long hiatus from the hobby, so it was really cool to come back. My 4-year-old is obsessed with anything with 4 wheels, so getting back into RC with him has been such a blast. We came out to get my 2WD buggy on their awesome indoor carpet track and let my son check everything out. The whole experience was great. The track is fantastic, and the shop had such a welcoming vibe. One of the highlights was their indoor rock crawling area. We had been wanting to try crawling, and Will was kind enough to loan us a crawler to test out. Needless to say... we ended up leaving with one! Overall, we had an awesome time. They have loads of gundams which albeit aren't my thing, but they also have loads of cute plushies to which I bought Kero/Keroberos from Card Captor Sakura. Pretty decently priced. Some stuff is more expensive, some stuff is par for the course and some stuff is cheap compared to other places. Just depends on what you're looking for. I will say I'm a fan of the Zoids models they have. I do hope they get some Pokémon models in stock as well as digimon models since I tend to love building those but given this a new sister branch from Toys Logic, I'll give it some time for them to stock things. But I'd definitely suggest stocking other models aside from Gundam. My boyfriend loves gundam models so it works out for him and his friends. This place is also good for miscellaneous Pokémon plushies and cups/t-shirts as well as model kit tools and paint.
