Thanks Ray, I appreciate our conversation today regarding error cards. The card can potentially hold value if there is a correction in circulation. I recommend this shop.

Awesome local small business. Very cool owner operator that know's his goods. The kids enjoyed sifting through the inventory and left with a couple cards with display frames. Reasonably priced assortment of common to rare items. Some nostalgic novelty cards as well. Will be happy to come back and shop when I'm in the area again.

Small bit of background from me- Just moved to the area and didn't really have a go to shop for cards, checked online and saw this place. I play MTG and collect Pokémon cards. Review wise this is a collection of purchases I've made from this shop. Asked for an Innistrad box for MTG. Ray mentioned he didn't have any, so I picked up a few packs instead. He saw what I was buying and corrected himself saying he had a box. It was for the new set Midnight Hunt. Honestly my bad though since there was an older Innistrad set, and I hadn't played/knew of that set. But he had the box, and that was what I wanted. I even asked about the next set coming out: Crimson Vow. 5/5 experience. Probably my 3rd or 4th time coming in and it looks like Ray remembers what my girlfriend and I are looking for. An Evolving Skies Booster Box. He mentions he doesn't have it in yet, and that it would be coming in later that week. We come back when he said he'd have it in stock. We buy 2 boosters. a little overpriced hence the 4 star, but I get it Pokémon is hype right now. 4/5 experience. Now something I won't dock points for is what I believe is out of his control. Could be distributor or something else. However, both booster boxes we got from this shop were sealed. Even had the Pokémon seal on it. We opened the box, and only found green code cards, and code cards not native to Evolving Skies. Photos Attached. More likely going to still shop here for MTG her as I don't think it was overly priced for booster packs and boxes for Magic. I love pulling cards and usually don't buy more than 1 - 2 Booster Boxes per set. Pokémon wise however, I'll stick to the Pokémon Center or other trusted sources. Again I'd like to point out that this is no fault in the store or to Ray.

I am happy to support local card shops but wish something less controversial than Fox News was on the TV.

We were preparing for an upcoming funeral, and I needed help with an expensive gold frame I had purchased from Hobby Lobby. One of the corners had separated, and I wanted to know whether the framing department could repair or reinforce it. Because the frame was large and heavy, I left it in my trunk until I confirmed that someone could help. My mother-in-law waited nearby so she could rest while my daughter accompanied me to the framing counter. I approached the employee working in the framing department and asked if he could assist me. His first response was, "I'm off in six minutes - what do you need?" The tone immediately caught me off guard. As I began explaining that the corner of the frame had broken apart and needed reinforcement, he interrupted me and said, "Stop. Just hurry up and tell me what you need." I was surprised because I was simply trying to explain the issue so he could determine whether it was something the framing department could fix. I told him the frame was needed for a funeral and asked if it could be repaired. Instead of addressing my question, he asked why my husband couldn't fix it. I explained that my husband is currently deployed, so he wasn't available to help, and that while I would try to repair it myself if necessary, I also work full-time. His response was simply, "So do I." At that point, it was clear that helping me was not a priority. What made the interaction even more upsetting was that my 4-year-old daughter asked afterward, "Mommy, why was that man so mean? Why didn't he want to help us?" Hearing that from my child was heartbreaking. I told her that maybe he was having a difficult day because I wanted her to understand that we should still try to show kindness to others. I shared my experience with the manager, who told me that this employee often tells others how important it is to be friendly with customers. Unfortunately, that was not reflected in the interaction we experienced. Thankfully, we went to Ace Hardware afterward, where an employee immediately took the time to help us. He recommended reinforcing the frame with small metal corner brackets, nails, and gold spray paint. His advice worked perfectly, and we were able to save the frame in time for the funeral. This review isn't about expecting perfection. Everyone has stressful days. It's about the importance of treating people with basic courtesy and respect, especially when they may already be going through a difficult time. A little kindness can make all the difference. Unfortunately, that was missing from our experience at Hobby Lobby.

On occasion, they will have their giant inflated Pikachu right out in front of the little shopping center area, so you can't miss it when that happens. What do they sell here? Kind of a little bit of everything really. There's toys, plushies, video games, models, figures, and of course Pokemon cards along with other stuff. Lots of fun stuff for all, and for all ages too as they have quite a bit of retro stuff floating around here. The place does remind me quite a bit of the kind of set-up I would see in Japan and stuff, where display cases are all over, with stuff just sprawled out inside of them for people to look and peruse over. There really aren't too many of these places like this anywhere nowadays. Good nostalgia just from that perspective. Makes it fun. How is the pricing of everything? Actually reasonable for most things I saw here. There were some things that seemed to be fairly overpriced, but it was mainly for the rarer stuff which is understandable, but still pretty far over the market price elsewhere (online and such). But the general stuff sold here were all fair enough for a physical store. The service here, I actually didn't really interact with them much. While I was walking around the store I did hear customers converse with the staff and it seemed friendly enough, so I assume it's fine. They seemed eager to help when people walked up to the counter-adjacent areas, so there's that. Though I didn't walk out with anything the first time I visited the place, finally, I certainly almost wanted to grab something quite a few times as I was making my way through there. Will definitely be back at some point later.
