We came in to check out their Pokémon cards and didn't expect to participate in a fun game of laser tag!

I never write reviews but thought the community should know. I've been into Pokémon cards for quite…read morea while, so I was excited to take my girlfriend's kids to this shop for their very first pack-opening experience. Unfortunately, the visit was disappointing from the moment we arrived. The storefront looked boarded up with wood covering much of the exterior, and it was so dark inside that I honestly couldn't tell if the store was open. Once inside, my girlfriend's son politely asked the employee behind the counter how much a pack cost. The employee responded with, "I can guarantee it's more than you have in your wallet." I was shocked by how rude and dismissive that was, especially toward a kid. That's not the kind of welcome I would expect from an employee. I then told him I wanted to purchase three Prismatic Evolutions packs. He looked at me and said, with an attitude, "You know they're like $20 each, right?" I told him that was fine, but the interaction left a bad impression. What should have been a fun and memorable experience for the kids turned into an uncomfortable one because of the poor customer service. I spent $100 on 6 packs of cards and i was going to buy more cards but didn't want to give them anymore business. I won't be shopping here again and cannot recommend this store based on my experience.

Employees out in other parts of the store... some are smiling some aren't. The ones that have a look on their face like they don't want to be there will put on a fake smile when you ask for help. There are a handful that are always smiling and always ask if they can help you as you walk around and they see you. Pretty well stocked for general items. Seasonal item areas on this visit were empty shelves on aisles as they switch to holiday items from summer outdoor items. Prices are comparable to other craft stores, not always the cheapest. Since all items are price lsticker label tagged, the prices can vary on the same item. So check through the packages or items, there might be a lower price tag. Cashiers need to either memorize what's on sale or check their sales list, so I've noticed i don't always get the sale price. Always check your receipts. Location is convinient for when I'm running errands at the mall, but it's not always my go to craft store. Store is always clean as well as having clean restrooms. If you're in the market for holiday decor, this is where you want to go!

Customers should be aware that support decisions appear final. Customer support for the less favored should be provided, as it is not. No chances of reconciliation. The situations are handled poorly and owner only listens to the opposite pov side. Personally, the owner needs better people skills and communication skills. This behavior wouldn't fly in a corporate environment but since it's a small business he can do whatever he wants. With that being said, the Pokémon community is extremely Toxic and clique. It's not how it was 20 years ago. Also, prices arent that great as they are little over retail price. I recommend going to a shop that's more friendly. FYI, would be happy to take this review down if the owner would be open to reconcile. Thank you!

I can't say much for TCGs, but every time I'm in the shop, there is always some activity with trading/selling or games being played on the handful of tables set up in the shop. My son and I have been RC customers here for nearly a year and the owner (Michael) and crew are friendly and willing. There is a good selection of popular ARRMA, Losi, Axial and Traxxas vehicles and just about every single new release is in the shop within a few days. There is a curated collection of popular race vehicles behind the counter as well as Kyosho Mini-Z and handful of more specialized brands that only enthusiast hobbyist would even know about like Xpress, MST, and Corally to name a few. There is a small selection of planes and helicopters, and I've been able to have the shop order kits that are more obscure and have it be available within a week or so. I've found the prices to be the same as what is advertised on larger online retailers like Horizon Hobby, A-Main, or Tower Hobbies; Hobby Addicts does have a loyalty program, so I do appreciate that the business understands your patronage is important to them. More importantly, every dollar spent at a local business ends up within the community, so come on out and support your local hobby shop!

So don't bother to ask because you might not like how you might be treated for having the audacity to interrupt someone with such a mundane question. You might feel like someone turned the hands of time back and you were living in pre 1965 America, when certain groups of people felt entitled to (and got away with) talking down to "other" groups of people. I found the store to be a bit disorganized and some of the aisles were too cluttered to walk through. The prices are what I expected, but the terrible customer service and lack of restroom access cut our visit and our spending short. Although I made contact with their corporate office concerning my unfortunate interpersonal experience with a specific staff member at this location, and the corporate office responded with understanding, kindness, an explanation of how they were gong to correct things, and a gift card, I will never set foot in this particular location again, ever. In fact, it will be a long time before I shop at Michaels again, if at all.
