Just took my boys here for the first time (3 and 6), and I would give this place 10 stars if I could. We weren't looking to spend a lot of money, but between the free box, the 10-cent boxes, the dollar box, and an overly generous staff (and customers), my guys walked out with a stack of great stuff and smiles from ear to ear. My 4 and 6 year old love going to card shops to buy Pokemon singles, and my husband and I are trying to master set a couple Pokemon sets. This was our first time here and I already know we will be regulars. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind to my kids, even handed them free sticker packs. They gave us all the time and space to sort through hundreds if not thousands of bulk cards. I can't wait to go back and I can see myself spending hours there! Place is dope with a solid inventory of sporting card boxes. Since getting back into the hobby I've picked up a hobby box of Marvel Studios and Topps Chrome Olympics. Also, pre-ordered a Topps Chrome Tennis breakers delight. I opened the Olympics yesterday and got one case hit and two other valuable cards!! Super excited. To be honest, I wasn't expecting such great service from cards and collectibles store. When I walked in, it felt like any other card shop, but what made it stand apart was the gentleman behind the counter. He asked questions to understand our needs and was able to guide me directly to where I needed to go. He followed up with me and found that I didn't really know what I was doing and he gave me great advice for the Christmas gifts I needed to get. They have a fun wheel you spin when you spend over $100 and we got some much needed card sleeved and I also got to take a trip down memory lane and rip open a freebee pack of cards from when I was a kid. This place was amazing. The staff is super friendly. When we walked in they asked what we were looking for, I said my son is into yugioh. They gave him a free booster pack. When we checked out to the register he noticed there was some Pokemon cards in our purchase, they ended giving my son a Pokemon booster pack also. You can't get any better than that when your a kid. I have been looking for a local card shop for quite some time now. I do enjoy buying and ripping boxes and packs, but I mostly like purchasing singles of all the players I love or collect. I was instantly greeted by Davey, and welcomed me for coming to check out his store. He gave me a tour, which was amazing, the store itself is a gem 10! Everything is so neatly displayed and organized. I've been to a few card shops where you can hardly walk through an aisle. Shops should takes notes on how this place is ran and merchandised. Davey also explained that he does grading and how much his services cost. He showed me the wall of bargain singles and from there I happily sat down at a table and got to hunting. I was looking for vintage and modern pokemon cards in the east bay area and decided to visit this card shop in Martinez. As soon as I walked in I knew I had found my favorite bay area card shop for tcg pokemon. It was very clean inside and organized with great lighting. They have at least 9 display cases with graded cards and singles. My favorite area is the value singles they have in boxes that you can browse through. DVY has a table and chairs where I went through over 8 boxes of pokemon cards. I look forward to getting my next pokemon booster box and singles from them. read more

DVY is honestly the best LCS I've been to. My kids and I stumbled in one time while visiting family and it was such a cool experience. The staff was awesome to everyone and very friendly and helpful. Michael, the owner, was so engaged listening to my kids tell him what cards they were interested in. This has become something we will visit every time we come down to visit family now.
