Another lovely experience at the Carriage House! We stopped in for lunch on my birthday, and they couldn't have been sweeter! Our server, Dixie, was so kind and couldn't have made me feel more special. They treat you like family here in this lovely little cafe. I had my usual 3 egg omelette, with ham, spinach, onions, and jalapeños. It is always Amazing, but be forewarned that when you request jalapeños, you get a ton of them! So good and spicy, it's really well-prepared and delicious! My husband had the chicken salad on a toasted croissant and he loved it as well. He's very picky about chicken and he loves the salad here at Carriage House. This is a really special spot in Jasper. They serve breakfast as well as lunch so be sure to give them a try. Finding the small door into the place can be tricky, so be sure to have the address and be patient looking for it. It's well worth your trouble! read more

We really enjoy the Carriage House for brunch. They have a daily special posted on a menu board at the entrance and although consistently busy, we never have a problem finding a table. The restaurant is cozy with multiple tables and a couple of bar stools (although I've never seen anyone sit at them). The servers are pleasant and refill coffee regularly. The French toast comes with a side. One that's not listed in the "sides" is 2 eggs cooked to order. I ordered them overmedium and they were PERFECTLY cooked. That's an art, my friends! $12 for 3 pancakes and potatoes is ridiculous though- especially with fake maple syrup. The muffins are huge for $4 and they are freshly baked. If you want some old time southern charm with delicious down home cooking then you need to make your way over to the Carriage House in Downtown Jasper Ga. Their menu is loaded with lots of comfort food dishes which are all home made. From the cinnamon rolls to their delicious quiches. A very hot spot with many locals and they all seemed to be having a great time. They had 3 different quiches and after much deliberation I went with the Pimento Bacon with a side of their special creamy hash browns. It was so delicious. The service was exceptional. Always moving with a purpose and checking on you throughout your meal. I'm definitely putting Carriage House on the top of my list for breakfast spots and will be heading back to give their lunch menu a try. read more

This is a really nice cute cafe worth stopping in for! Our waitress Dixie was the best and made sure we had everything we needed. I got the chicken strawberry salad and thought it tasted really good and enjoyed the oven roasted chicken on top. The staff in general were very nice and regularly checked in to ensure that the food was good and that our waters were refilled. To summarize, the Carriage House is a very well run local restaurant that is definitely worth stopping in and grabbing a bite. read more

The food was all very tasty and the staff were super nice and happy to work there. They make some amazing cakes and other desserts. I was super pleased with the service we got with a party of 8. We had 4 kids with us and they were very accommodating with all our kids. The food portions were moderate but the flavor was even better. I believe they make there sandwich bread in house. Seating is a little tight but that's part of the charm of this older building. They have a nice deck off the back when the weather is nice that you can have lunch at. My 8yr old loved his Philly Cheese steak and the homemade cookie. I had the BLT and the bacon on it was cooked perfectly. I could go on and on but to be honest the customer service was top notch. my wife and I attempted to go to the Carriage House for a holidays gathering . As usual I visited the place before hand to make sure it was wheelchair accessible. It is NOT. There is a high step at the front entrance and an entire flight of stairs at the back entrance. I called the restaurant to make sure that I wasn't missing something I asked if there was wheelchairs access and was told that there was not. I asked the person on the phone how they were able to get away without that. She said "I have no idea". We will be filing a complainant with the county and the ADA. read more

Drive up to this place periodically from my home in Canton, GA. Usually when I am in town and doing some work. Order the same breakfast (love it) and then usually do 2-3 hours of work while sitting there. Always keep an eye on how busy it is and make sure I'm not taking a table from anyone. Always tip 30% or higher. Yesterday, when I went up to pay . . . . I'm told "I have some bad news to deliver. The 'Boss' called down" . . . said "you have to pay a $25 charge from now on if you're here more than two hours". Ok . . ?? The 'Boss' called down? Are you serious? From where? Heaven? Her sky-scraper in Jasper?? I mean . . . honestly . . . no issue if the restaurant is having issues with this. I seriously doubt it and it's never been more than 1/3 full when I've been in there (usually on a Wed/Thur AM). I've been going there over 5 years. I've sent countless people there when I know they're in that area. I tip great. I pay the high cost for my breakfast. So . . . just wondering 'why me' . . .'why yesterday' . . . ? Honestly . . if it's an issue . . hang a sign up. Or . . . maybe just let it go and don't say anything know it's really not a big deal? I don't care about the $25, which obviously I didn't pay yesterday. I do care about the nasty way it was handled with a perfectly good patron (me) . . . Who else are you chasing out of there? Business must be great to do that with a customer. I won't be back. Enjoy the $2000+ I've spent in our restaurant over the years. And. . . . I guarantee you I tip great at 30-40% over the two quarters a lot of the hometown fellas leave your waitresses. Nasty!!! A lot of choices out there; and more and more in Jasper. My wife ordered steak and eggs. Not 3 mins after we put our orders in. Our breakfast came. At first we were like wow that was fast. Then I got a look at the steak... It was cold and was already cut up. They cooked it yesterday. It was not juicy at all. The next table over a couple ordered steak and eggs. I ask the lady at the table next to us. Is your steak cold she said yes. Both of there steaks were the same as ours cold. The waiter came up we told him hey these steaks are cold. He said. Oh sorry let me go heat them up. I said huh?! It is decorated for the holiday, meals are served hot, the specials are crazy good so make sure you plan your meal times. When they are out they are out. Joan & I & 4 of our friends were there for their Valentine's Day special dinner last evening. Donna, the new owner as of a year ago & all her entire staff were all decked out & she had the tables & chairs all decorated. It was beautiful! All 6 of us were very pleased with the food. Joan had the pork roast & the rest of us had a very nice Filet steak with vegetables. There was a very good salad & a choice for dessert of either creme broulle or chocolate moulten cake. It was a very pleasant evening being with GREAT friends in a nice atmosphere & wonderfully delicious food. The wait staff were all very attentive!
