Nothing real exciting from the variety I ordered and they charged a ridiculous $15 per flight (seriously?!), something I didn't know until I got the bill. For lunch, I had the pastrami on rye & fries. Didn't care for the sandwich as the bread was super greasy and they evidently put the pastrami on the flattop as it was a bit hard and crispy. It was a little chilly, but not quite "Ohio" chilly so we sat ourselves outside with a couple of hazy IPA aka Juice Bombs from Sloop Brewery. This brew pub is sandwiched between brick buildings: Stacks, a burger pub, on the right and another commercial building on the left. Across the street is the Police, so be warned, and don't get too funky. We asked if they had food and said no but it was ok to get some take out and eat it at their table or order from Stacks (what we did) and they bring it to your table from next door. Even better. Stacks' mushroom burger and stack cheese burger were very good too. We washed those down with another set of local IPAs called Southeast by Tailgate Brewery in Nashville, TN, also very good. Some of the tables have heating lamps which would have been nice as it got chillier. Not ours. But no sweat. This place does occasionally make their own beer as well but it's primarily a brew pub which sells other beer and canned beer from all over. I'm glad we had a chance to come. Now for the drive home. Thankfully we are less than 2 hours away. Atlanta here we come!

Well it definitely was butt-cold out when we visited Grumpy Old Men Brewing, but luckily it was warm inside, and there was indeed plenty of beer! We happened to come across The brewery passing through Blue Ridge on Thanksgiving weekend. They place was packed and bustling, with a raucous holiday spirit, made even more fun with a performance by the Appalachian St Andrew's Pipes and Drum band. Service was great, beers were terrific . You can totally sit inside with your best friend whilst sipping on an ice cold beer. Everything we tried was great, but their honey heartbreak is phenomenal. Do yourself a favor and get a pint, or a growler ;). We ended up getting a growler of the Sandy Strawberry because the honey wheat kicked while we were there, but we still enjoyed that one too.
