I imagined her making brownies, popcorn, having a BBQ and not turning off the grill afterwards. Carried away-then I remembered this is Molly, our favorite cat, and prepared to have someone else in our messy house. The manager "Mollie" was very organized. We, were very detailed. I organized food in one cabinet, with post-its for info, post-it where her room litterbox was after already giving info to the manager I think it helped make things simpler. We started getting daily reports, with "basics" box checked. They were thorough, precise, and complete. My Dad worked for Polaroid for 20 years, and these pet sitters were awesome at taking pictures. Every day we'd open up the emails and this noise would come out of our mouths: not ooh! Yecch! But...: Awwww, look at how cute she looks. Her wariness and caution as a cat showed, but her shyness rounded the corner a bit. Sitter4paws let us take a long vacation worry free at what we thought were reasonable prices, for a truly truly worry free vacation. I will never use them again after my TERRIBLE experience. Initially used this service for a short business trip with success so tried again for a longer trip to see family between Christmas and NYE. The company sent a sitter I had never met who incorrectly used the pill injector on my sick, elderly cat and forced her to swallow the over inch-long applicator tip. Resulted in $3,000 emergency vet surgery to remove that I had to manage from out of town. So deeply stressful for me but mainly my poor elderly asthmatic cat!! They handled it but SO unnecessary and only happened bc of their bizarre business model where they pick whichever of their employees are available, not someone who knows your house/pet. So if you get one who knows what they're doing you don't necessarily get them again - it's totally random from the customer's perspective. Instead of enjoying my family I had to spend the time managing the emergency they created from afar, stressed and fuming that I trusted this company to send someone competent to care for my sweet older cat. After the first disastrous pill delivery issue they sent the **same person** again a day later who clearly doesn't know how to give a cat medication and she, again, incorrectly gave my cat her medication!!! My cat gets ill if she misses just one day, the medication is a high-dose steroid for her asthma. The employee did not know how to give her the pill, but still marked the medication as administered on their form (I only figured out it didn't happen when I read the notes) and instead of giving her the pill rubbed it on her gums -?!? I am FURIOUS for my poor cat and at the incompetence of this employee they continue to use, along with the management that assured me they know how to give cats medication and yet still sent this individual out after it was proved that they cannot give a cat medication effectively. The other employees seemed to be ok but I had no choice over who they sent over, meaning every visit was a gamble. If you need anything beyond the most basic service, avoid avoid avoid!!!

While we were away she was amazing and it really gave us piece of mind that our family member was taken care of. I had previously tried the pet walking apps out there and found inconsistent results, plus it was difficult to get the same person all the time. The whole experience just really did not leave me confident in hiring someone to walk my dog. But When I started using Fire Hydrant pet sitting , that all changed. Since I had such a great experience with this company when they watched Loki, I began using them to walk my dog Obi and have been using them regularly since. Kylie's team can handle big strong dogs without a problem and are great at reinforcing the proper obedience techniques that we have tried to teach our dog to have. Kylie and her team are amazing and go above and beyond. You can tell that they are true animal lovers and enjoy what they do. They come and walk Obi 4 times a week (even during the pandemic). This has been a game changer for our big dog that needs lots of exercise. I love that he gets to participate in pack walks sometimes, and Obi loves his time with his doggy friends. When I adopted Sandy from the shelter, she was extremely sick. I took her to another clinic, and the doctor told me that she was so sick that she was probably going to die and that I should consider returning her to the shelter. I left that place heartbroken and devastated, but I knew I wasn't going to give up on Sandy. I started searching everywhere for another veterinarian, and it was so difficult to find one that could see her. Then I found Sunshine Veterinary Care. They didn't have any openings that day, but they made an exception and found a way to see Sandy. I will forever be grateful for that. Doctor Z told me Sandy had about a 50/50 chance of making it. He and his amazing staff did everything they could for her, and two days later, it felt like Sandy came back to life. We drive from Temescal Valley for their appointments and are happy to do so! My dogs are my only family, and as they're aging, I'm extremely grateful to have someone like Dr. Z as their primary care veterinarian. As with any growing clinic, Dr. Z's availability can sometimes be limited, but he has built a wonderful team of VAs, RVTs, CSRs, and others around him. Top of mind, Destiny and Vanessa have been amazing during our technician appointments, as have many others on the team. I would be remiss to say every situation has been perfect, but things get busy, people go through things, and veterinary clinics in particular deal with incredibly emotional life-and-death situations. We are all human. A little compassion, understanding, and willingness to ask questions can go a long way, especially when it comes to the health of animals who rely on us to make the best decisions we can for their care.
