It just falls unto the manager. Slow night and we were a table of six. We ordered three salads and three pizzas. The two salads came out first, ten minutes later, a pizza and a salad...15 minutes after that the two remaining pizzas. Our waters never came. We watched our drinks warm up at the bar. Okay, the waitperson was a bit under-trained and overwhelmed. The bartender was uncaring and a bully. But, the kicker was the manager. He hung around the host station all the while staring at his phone. There's not much more to say about him other than he did nothing. The waitress was sweet so I'm giving it one star. I should've known when the manager told me there was grated cheese at the end of the table the meal would be a disaster, I was craving spaghetti and meatballs next sign of disaster was when the waitress asked me how many meatballs I wanted. The meat sauce was so glad I didn't want to eat it and meatballs were so dense they belong on a pizza. No choice of tea but 2 menus of drinks and beers, the bar is the best part of this place. Came for lunch and got seated right away. The shrimp scampi with extra garlic was well received, and the meatball pizza-with the meatballs sliced thin was delicious. The lunch special with soup and sandwich was a good deal and the clam chowder was perfectly thick and creamy. The prices are too high for what you get and we will never step foot in your establishment again. Too many higher quality places that charge less. Today is my first visit here. I only ordered a salad and cup of chowder. Although the chowder was good.. it was served with a pretty disgustingly dirty spoon that turned the belly a bit. The salad was fresh and house dressing ok. My bill was written on a piece of lined paper .. apparently computers were down. My waitress was ok.. a little slow.. luckily i was not in any rush. I may give them another try.. but if the kitchen pass and waitress miss dirty silverware like this... i worry about the cleanliness in the back. read more

Sorry but the chicken piccata is way over ambitious filled with flavor enhancers and way too many spices. I got sick right after leaving the restaurant. Just not good. Even with the early bird special prices I could go to an Italian restaurant local and have a freshly made chicken piccata made with fresh ingredients without the over ambitious mystery spices. I was a regular for many years at the Château I even grew up eating at the original Château. This is not good. It's cafeteria food at top dollar. Just not worth it anymore with the price increases. I do miss their Greek chicken dish. That was amazing. You knew what was on the plate and in the sauce. The combinations are small and overpriced. I ate there 3 of the 4 nights I was in town due to the location from where I was staying. The food is great and the service is genuinely great. I was seated in Elizabeth's section 2 of the 3 nights and Shaina's section the other night. Both very good servers. Attentive and on top of it. Not just with me. I watched them work and they took care of all of their guests. The atmosphere is pleasant and the place is very clean. Clearly they care about their reputation. Excellent management. I'm unsure as to why their rating is what it is. I would give them 10 stars if the option was there. read more

Just went here for my birthday with my wife and let me tell the food was horrible. We ordered pizza and salmon. The pizza had no sauce and the salmon had no seasoning. The only reason I'm givine 2 stars is because the rest of the locations are delicious/consistent. We have been going to the Chateau for years (all locations). We were VERY excited for the Franklin one to open! We get takeout from there 1-2 times a month since it opened. They have only ever gotten our order correct once. They always forget at least 1 item. After the first 2 times we now know to check. Food is good but service in restaurant is poor. I am assuming this has to do with finding good help during COVID so that I can understand. How do they consistently forget orders in takeout? If its happening this much to us, I'm assuming its happening all the time! read more

wonderful food! so delicious! however i was disappointed that my boyfriend (20) and i(20), and our friend (19), had to wait roughly 10 minutes before even being acknowledged by the hostess, with her standing there, as she was friendly & greeted other guests who were just walking in. eventually we asked to be added to the waitlist, that we only know existed because of another customer. we got our table super quick! once we were seated we had a bit of a wait to order our drinks, 2 IBC rootbeers & we were offered glasses with ice, along with waters for the three of us. she brought our drinks which were in the bottle and mentioned needing to grab us straws, we never received our cups with ice, straws or waters :( and with how briefly she'd stop by our table, we were never really given the opportunity to ask. also, i thought this was common restaurant etiquette, to put your empty appetizer plate/bread basket at the edge of the table. we did so & they were never collected. despite what i had to say previous, she seemed like a great waitress for every other table, talkative, laughing, & checkin in occasionally if they needed anything. because her other tables were behind & in front of us, it was a pretty obvious difference in vibes. i was excited to go to the chateau because its more expensive, and i wanted to treat myself to a nicer meal experience, like i said, i was disappointed but their food (lobster mac & cheese especially) is wonderful! read more

This place is next to my hotel. Since day 1 coming I have been treated very nice by the staff and the service has been excellent. Even when the regulars show up the bartenders do not ignore me and give me great service. I come here often now and enjoy the atmosphere and even the customers are friendly. Maybe somebody should tell the Manager that Fettuccine Alfredo has Alfredo sauce on it. What I got was over cooked, bone dry fettuccine. In 1983 at the Waltham location, Toasted Ravioli were a revelation. Now at this and the former Westborough location, they are pre-cooked, tasteless and room temperature. Wine was delivered as Cabernet, not Chianti. Spritzer was good. Ordered toasted ravioli; like rubber, not crispy. Large antipasto entrée, not very large but was OK. No child's menu offered, 12 YO got the turkey club; did not like. Server then offered a child menu, replaced it with chicken fingers & fries. Also ordered chicken fettuccini alfredo, found black hair in pasta. Server brought new, comp'd the meal. No cocktail napkins given when drinks were served. The food hit the table at approx. 8:40 PM after being there since 7::55. Unacceptable. Thank goodness for the bread, we had 3 loaves while waiting Server stated she 'needed to inform manager of the issue' (hair) and manager never came over to address with us. Unacceptable. Turns out the woman outside complaining when we arrived (to another male employee) was the MANAGER! Feedback: poor service, poor food, poor management, unclean, unpopular. (flies in restaurant too). Picture missing from the wall, and didn't even bother to take the picture hooks from the wall. The staff appeared to lack confidence, not personally, but in the establishment. I ordered the Trio 1 for takeout from grubhub. Delivery was good but why would the restaurant put a fettuccine alfredo in the same container as the chicken parmesan? Tried it because it's new ... had fairly low expectations going in and it fell beneath. It's priced higher than great restaurants you would find closer to the city and the food is far worse than eating at home. Was so hoping for a local choice. Ordered take out at 4:15 for a 6:30 pickup for a special Valentine's day dinner. Got there at 6:15 And it was chaos. I finally got my take out at 7pm. They kept bringing orders out and not calling out names. My order was on the shelf for ten minutes before I confronted they to look. They didn't care and it was obvious. The guy beside me ordered at 2:15 for a 6:15 pick up and got his when I got mine. If you can't fulfill the customers request tell them when they order. No excuses, extremely poor service.
