Ordered take out at 4:15 for a 6:30 pickup for a special Valentine's day dinner. Got there at 6:15 And it was chaos. I finally got my take out at 7pm. They kept bringing orders out and not calling out names. My order was on the shelf for ten minutes before I confronted they to look. They didn't care and it was obvious. The guy beside me ordered at 2:15 for a 6:15 pick up and got his when I got mine. If you can't fulfill the customers request tell them when they order. No excuses, extremely poor service. Waitress very pleasant and everything else downhill from there. Salad was soggy lettuce. Ordered two seafood fra diavolos in spicy marinara sauce for $27 each. A couple little bits of lobster, some small shrimp, and some chopped fish pieces. Sauce was horrible, very sweet and we had to ask for some crushed pepper. Spaghetti overcooked like it had been sitting in kitchen all day. Had gone there a week before for lunch and had a very dry eggplant sandwich on average bread. We were on our way back home from Wrentham outlets and were planning to go the creamery and found this right at the 495 north exit. First impression was good with a welcoming staff and pretty good ambience. Server came right away for some drinks order. Food took a while though but served with some bread and butter and drinks in about 5-7 mins. Learning from this place being a vegetarian and wife with pork n beef restrictions that their sauces are made with meat (beef). My wife ordered her chicken dish and found a sausage which made us enquire. The manager politely explained all their sauces are made with meat except marinara. I order eggplant which came with a (meat) sauce. Manager replaced my eggplant with marinara sauce, but i already ate my meat sauce one :(. Please put some seasoning in your food and start with some salt. Anyways the staff and manager was couteous to take off the dishes from our bill. It wasnt the staff's fault but would have been better if they would have kept us informed about the sauces (its tricky to guess and sometimes people get offended so i get their point). 3 out of 5 for a great ambience and good staff. It's hard to believe that a restaurant could be worse than the original Chateau in Waltham. This place is terrible. A sandwich served on their famous bread is a soggy mess. Sorry that it has turned out so poorly. We have been there a half dozen times. It's always jammed, and honestly, what is the attraction? It must be the Keno and lottery tickets. Room Temp Ziti pasta..had to send back to kitchen, Chicken Broccoli Ziti Alfredo, where is the Alfredo?? Small pool of sauce under the pasta. This dish was also room temperature. For $18 and $20. They need to step up their game, especially now. I can find many other Italian restaurants that do it right. The italian food is fine, the pizza is really good, however their reading comprehension is VERY bad for online orders, and they're REALLY bad with timing. Ordered take-out Chicken Parm, I asked for no sauce on the pasta, but oil and garlic instead. What I received: A chicken cutlet with a slice of mozzarella cheese on it, no sauce, with dry pasta, no garlic or oil to be found. Oh, and it arrived cold. The latest order: Fish and Chips. Asked for extra tartar sauce, I got home and there was not extra tartar sauce. There was no tartar sauce, and the fish was 3 3" x 3" cubes of 1/4" thick haddock. They charged $18.00 for this. Oh, and the food was cold, despite me picking it up 5 minutes before their time where it was supposed to be done. The restaurant was very busy with an hour wait. No problem. Their texting system to let you know your table was ready was great and all staff was friendly. I'm writing this because my food arrived cold. Cold fried fish is pretty nasty but it was so busy I didn't want to make a fuss. Long time Chateau fan having lives a few hundred feet away from the Waltham location. Decor inside was fine but something was missing. Don't remember there being any music playing which made the vibe feel very ominous. My wife and I ordered chicken parm entrees. I opted to have veggies on the side and my wife had a side salad. Part of her side salad was completely frozen as if they prep'd it and stored it in the freezer. Her chicken was also about 1/3 the size of mine and the cheese on top was barely melted. The other locations serve two pieces of chicken that are very crispy and well done. They also did not have Parmesan peppercorn or honey mustard dressing at all??? Came in with my daughter looking for a good meal after a long day helping my aunt in Franklin. I have eaten at another Chateau restaurant in Waltham years ago and remembered liking it. This was completely different, very underwhelmed by food and service. Toasted ravioli was like rubber and tasteless, pasta ridiculously overcooked. Took forever to get drink refills. So disappointing. I remember going to the Chateau as a kid and we always had big portions at a reasonable price. Although the Franklin location is convenient and spotless with fantastic service and good drinks, the lunch pick two was a salad or soup and a hot entree. My bolognese entree consisted of 10 rigatoni. I counted them. In a 5 or 6" square. My sisters Alfredo had two strips of bland chicken with a bland sauce, not even a bit of parsley to brighten the bland appearance. The price ... $14.95. Come on. read more

Still a one star restaurant if that. I tried to Château again because it was my nieces birthday and that's where she wanted to go. Dining room was completely empty the bar area had a lot of people milling around. The host seated us promptly but the server was a little slow to get to the table. She ended up being very nice though. The food took a long time to come out even though the dining area was virtually empty. Buffalo tenders were cold clam chowder was warm. We have now been here 4 times, including opening night. We've sat at a table and at the bar. We've had different servers/bartenders each time and tried different meals and apps each time. We've gone alone as a couple and we've gone with friends. Each time our experience with staff and food has been wonderful. No complaints whatsoever! read more

Excellent and consistent. The bar area is fun. Service is top notch. The food is classic old school Italian with some newer options thrown in to keep things updated. Wine list is very good and the cocktail menu is good as well. You can't go wrong here. read more

We had a GC for this place and decided to use it. First off the waitress and staff were great and so was the calamari. Our main meal, trio and chicken Parm was awful. I have never had a worse dinner than this meal. The sauce tasted spaghettios and my chicken Parm tasted "off." I scraped off the cardboard coating and it still tasted bad. We didn't tell the waitress until we paid the bill as she was really busy but this needs to be posted. Bottom line, this place isn't worth the time and $$$$. Be very careful ordering takeout. They charge hidden additional fees that are additional to the menu prices. You have ZERO idea about them until you go and pick up your food. We were originally seated by the door, which was cold, but our server quickly offered us a booth towards the back of the restaurant that was warmer which was nice. Our party got the antipasto salad, margarita pizza and the sausage abruzzi. Everything was very good and the service was quick -- just what we were hoping for. I walked in with a friend and sat at the bar just to have a drink for last call at 9:15 p.m. They are open until 9:30 p.m. We were ignored by the bartender as she restocked the bar for sunday's crowd. Then she continued to restock the plates and continue to ignore us. Another person came in about the same time as us. He also sat at the bar and kept shaking his head with disgust. We finally walked out and said no last call ever again at this place or even a first call. I will never give this place my business again. They are off the list for my company Christmas party. 45 minute wait when they had lots of tables open. They said they were all for reservations but it was packed with walk in people waiting. Some of those tables should have been used for them. Got drinks at bar while waiting. I had a dirty martini and my husband had an old fashioned. They were ok, too much waste in his, they were strong but not the greatest and were very expensive. Finally got seated, waitress was very friendly, took our order in a timely fashion. Food came, my steak tips were like chewing shoe leather and my sides were barely warm. My husband's veal was also very chewy. Waitress checked back with us only when she brought the food, after that we didn't see her again until I flagged her down for waters, which took forever to come. Manager happened to be walking by and casually asked how things were so I told him. He ended up taking 20% off the pricey bill to encourage us to give them another try. I love some of the locations and others I don't like at all. Norton and Westborough have always been consistently good. I was very excited when it opened in Franklin. The first time we went during Covid everything was perfect. The second time it was so-so. The last time, last week for a birthday dinner, it really was not good. The marinara sauce was dark and obviously days old, seafood was OK - questionable that it was fresh, The tomatoes in the Caprese salad we're not even close to being ripe and the pizza tasted reheated. The service was mediocre. The only reason this is even getting three stars is because I know they can do better and The salads are great. read more

Fool me once.... Sadly went 2 weeks in a row, thinking this week would be better than last. Throughout COVID, this place was an oasis for takeout pizza on Wed nights. Something has changed... last week, pizza was overcooked on top, but somehow undercooked on the bottom. Also something has changed with the crust - new recipe? If something has changed with the recipe, please return to what you were doing before. This week, got 1 topping (needed a microscope to find it). They told me pick-up was 40mins... no problem! My wife & I stopped by for dinner this past Sunday night, we grabbed a seat @ the bar & was quickly greeted by out bartender. We proceeded to order a glass of wine & a beer (not a huge draft selection but something for everyone). We both ordered the chicken parm. I got the special that came with a side of rigatoni with bolognese, both meals were delicious & the chicken tasted just like the Waltham location (which is a very good thing).
