On a recommendation from a friend we stopped in for a pint. Very friendly staff and an awesome beer selection. The server was able to pinpoint several nice choices based on our preferences and we loved them all. The place is very inviting and relaxed and the décor reminds you of a place you don't want to leave right away. Since it was almost dinner time, we decided to have the house made chicken pie. Wow, was that fantastic! I think that was the best chicken pot pie I've ever had. And was it ever big. What a meal! I highly recommend all of the above. read more

Ordered tea. It says teas costs three dollars on the menu. We were charged six dollars for each pot. The rationale was that we were given large pots, but we never asked for large pots and nowhere on the menu does it give you an option for regular or large size pot. Waitress never asked what size we wanted. There is only one price on the menu -2.99! I think our waitress decided to make up her own prices for us. When I asked for the check she just came up with an iPad and said that'll be 17.50 and didn't give a receipt. Very dishonest business practice! I don't even know why she would think anyone would order such a large pot per person that makes 8 cups of tea. The tea was weak and not proper hot, weak because there was not enough tea leaves for such a big pot. But wait! (Infomercial voice), It gets worse! The scones are a public embarrassment! They don't resemble anything like actual scones. Shape, texture and color, all of it was off. They were triangular and had a darker color than normal, and berries inside. The surface layer was more like a pastry surface. There was no clotted cream and no jam on the side. They had poured some kind of vanilla custard sauce on top. No one from Britain would even recognize this as scones. I know my scones, I'm British by marriage. It doesn't even look like a British tea room, which they advertise it as aside from being a pub as well. It's more like a room with old and dark furniture at the back of a pub. I'm glad I didn't order the full Afternoon Tea for 24 dollars. Having seen the scones, I can imagine what the rest would look like. There was a game on when I came and it was really loud yelling constantly. I felt like I was having tea in the middle of a college frat party. This might be all right for the pub experience, but don't come here expecting a British tea experience. read more

Tried to eat here twice...bombarded with a wedding party both times. Sat down, waited 30 min...never got served Update: Tried for a 3rd time... my wife called before to make sure we could be served and she was told they were serving food until 9:30. When we arrived, ANOTHER wedding party... and they told us their oven had been broken all day and would not be able to serve us food. Manager was nice but offered no way to mend our situation. I travel to tea rooms across the states. I can honestly say that this was the worse tea room experience ever. It was my birthday. I asked our server if she knew if the I wanted to try was black or herbal. Our server said she knew nothing about tea. My untensils were dirty. There was still Jam left on the knife and I had to PEEL it from the napkin. My order of the sandwiches were wrong. She argues with me and finally tells me to physically take the sandwiches off my plate with my hand so she can bring me another. I am not a fan of leaving bad reviews. I have gone out of my way several times to tell someone when I have experienced excellent customer service. I tried to contact management but several times and no one has called me back. I only leave this review now on the hopes no one experiences this type of service again. read more

My mom, brother, and I booked their tea room and it was a great time! We had the bottomless mimosa/ brunch high tea experience. The food, tea, and mimosas were phenomenal. My brother gave me the highest compliment he could (as a little brother trying to play it cool), saying I actually had a good idea picking this place for brunch. The only reason I'm giving this four stars is because the woman who greeted us was really rude. She made me feel bad for arriving twenty minutes early when I told her we weren't in any rush and we just wanted to check-in. If she can work on being a little nicer, then this will definitely be a five-star experience, but either way I would recommend checking the Chatsworth out! read more

I absolutely love the look of the bar, the tea room, the furniture. My husband had a beer and I ordered American woman at the Savoy and a margarita. The AWS was very well made but no sprig, I enjoyed it anyways. The margarita was meh, the salted rim was soaking into the drink which made it way too salty by the time it made it to my table. We started off with the soft pretzel sticks with craft beer-cheese & honey whole grain mustard dip. The pretzel was fabulous, the dips were equally amazing. The charcuterie cheeseboard was good, it wasn't as good as I think it could be. Add some manchego and goat cheese then maybe some paleta iberico de bellota and some spotted trotter duck prosciutto I'd say that would make it perfect! We then ordered the Chatsworth chip wreck, Pot pie du jour and the Guinness stew. The roast beef with au jus was good, it wasn't fabulous. We don't really remember it much. The pot pie was out of this world flavorful and oh so delicious. I could eat that every day, easily. I wanted to LOVE the Guinness stew but upon my third spoonful I discovered a hair. I let the manager know and he was so quick to take the plate away and rush off, I didn't even finish my sentence. Almost as if he didn't want me to utter those words for others to hear. Fair enough I continued to talk to him aloud as he was rushing away "the hair is on the FORK!!!" I should also mention that before the hair was found I let the manager know that I was using the YELP app to find a place for lunch. I was standing just outside the pub (looking at reviews) and was only able to find the pub on the third page. I wanted to share this information with him because I believe he would have many more filled tables if he fixed that. He scoffed at me, and my concerns about finding the joint on the app. Heck I just wanted people to discover the pub, if you will. His issue was with YELP, his dismissive attitude was unnecessary I suppose he feels it is corrupt. I just said okay, whatever you say and left it alone. I'll give the pub another try some other day. I really wanted to like this place. Me and my friend were so excited to try their afternoon tea. Our table was beautifully decorated and the historic building adds so much charm. The servers were friendly but not very attentive or knowledgeable. The tea selection was small but enjoyable. If the price wasn't so high, I could have easily forgiven the negatives. But, with a $34 price tag, we found the food mediocre and mainly consisting of cake, even the small scone included was very sweet. We were not told that our time was limited, yet when asking for a refill of hot water, our server informed us that the kitchen refused. I have mixed feelings about this place. I took my mother there for the Chatsworth Tea at $29 per person. When we entered it felt very awkward. We had no idea where to go, the people working the bar seemed very busy. I suggest a sign at the door that tells patrons where to go or a greeter to welcome people. The woman who took care of was friendly and great. The building itself is directly across from the Marina and the decor is wonderful inside. I really loved how they designed the interior. Very English feeling. It was probably the best part. The room where they serve the tea is very cute, the tea service fancy. You get to pick out what tea you want. It all makes you feel very special, and it's a great place to take your mother or grandmother or wife for a special meal. It would also be great for a party (bridal shower, etc). But here's the problem...the food for the price. The sandwiches were pretty good, and the scones were great. However the cakes and desserts were stale, old and looked like something grabbed from a store and tossed on a plate. You just expect more for $29 per person. Will I go again? I just might because I did enjoy the sandwiches & scones, and how very special it felt in the tea room. I'd like to try a lunch or dinner at the bar. Mostly I loved how the building felt inside. However, if I do try the tea again & and desserts are still sub-par, I probably won't return for the tea. A note to the pub: get rid of the lemon and chocolate cake slices and instead give two scones, with jam. And do something more special for the dessert plate and this place will be a 5 star from me. read more

Came here on a Friday night. It was really crowded and lots of drinks and glasses being dropped on the floor every 10 minutes which isn't the fault of the establishment. It took a while to get the bartenders' attention. We put in our drink orders 3x as they ran out of certain ingredients for their signature cocktails and he also ended up pouring an extra glass of wine which he charged us for. It was a pretty conservative crowd and we had some looks our way so we finished our drinks and continued on our night. read more

Unfortunately you will need to leave your boys at home because the tap system is horrible The beer is flat if they can even locate it on the system itself. I will have a difficult time getting my husband back there which is unfortunate since we come to St Aug so often. We look forward to coming back with our beer enthusiast friends from Orlando. My husband and I loved this place when it opened a few years ago. Really looks like a British pub. Lots of good beer on tap - especially British & Irish brews- and for food - a few real pub items. Including Mac and Cheese, a British pub staple. Last year they dropped the really good Mac and Cheese. Leaving only a middling chicken pot pie, beef stew and standard US bar items like pretzels(!). They push "cocktails". And the last 2 times the regular bartender-waiters have been overworked and surly. Long waits for service and a few days ago, totally unable to handle a Friday night crowd. Whatever happened it's too bad. It WAS a cool place. Our go-to place. Now it's just a second rate bar in a tourist area plagued with second rate bars & less than stellar restaurants. read more

This was a great little pub that could be easily overlooked. The food was yummy, especially the soft pretzels with beer/cheese dip. It was a warm day so a 16oz of the ACE Pineapple cidar Ale was so refreshing! They have a huge variety of beers on tap. It was clean and the prices were decent. The decor in the "bubble room" was a pretty surprise. We went in for lunch with our children 9 & 12 and felt welcomed! Super cute pub with a cozy atmosphere. A HUGE beer selection and boutique style liquors. They also offer 20 oz. pours of beer which comes in an exciting goblet. In addition to beer, I also had the soft pretzel. The pretzel was definitely very soft, more than normal, but had really good cheese dip with it.
