My friend really recommended this spot and I wish my experience lived to her recommendation. It's amazing that they have so many options but it definitely is a bit overwhelming. I do appreciate the waitress trying to help us pick an entree. I ended up getting the cheeseburger. I thought it tasted pretty bland. I couldn't take more than a couple of bites before feeling like I needed to add something to it. My friend got a Cobb salad and it was huge! It looked so yummy and fulfilling. However, my friend was frustrated that she ordered her salad tossed but she still had to mix in all the ingredients. We went for an early dinner on a Monday (4:45pm). It was Grandmas 85th birthday not everyone could attend due to work so we were a smaller group of four. We arrived at a shift changed so we had our waitress for just drink orders but she noted we were there for celebration to pass onto our next server etc. It took a bit to order food since there are so many options - honestly they could probably reduce the menus selection a tad not gonna lie it's like a chapter book- Grandma was a bit overwhelmed- so she made up her own meal hey she was the birthday girl after all and ordered a grilled steak, onion rings and slaw. My brother went with a chicken pasta, my mom the club and I ordered the lettuce wraps with a side of truffle fries. It took an incredibly long time for food to come out- those that ordered after us had there food well before us and my grandma didn't order her steak well done she ordered it medium rare. I do believe we were waiting on her "onion rings" which is not a menu item and which the kitchen did kindly make her using the haystack onions so that was very nice and she did eat those all up! Ultimately everyone enjoyed their food it just would have been nice to have some check in during the time of ordering and food being served. Our server than miss placed we were there for a bday celebration but it was starting to get louder/busier and my Grandma was having a hard time with that so we just brushed it off. The women's bathrooms were really gross- my grandmother is in a wheelchair and I took her into the restroom. I can so the handicap stall is one of the better ones in terms of wheelchair fitting but it was dirty and I had to clean it before she could use it since there is no other option for her to use another stall. One of the best things about Cheesecake Factory is the expansive menu, there is something for everyone so it is a great spot to bring a group with a variety of different tastes. You don't come to Cheesecake Factory for a boutique experience like you would with a local restaurant. Our waitress was super nice and on top of getting drink refills and stopping by at good times. As mentioned, the menu is expansive so it is hard to make a decision. You can also see the calorie counts on each dish which makes you think twice about your food. The thing to remember is that you are probably getting enough food for two meals. I ordered off of the SkinnyLicious menu since I was not super hungry and was looking for something lighter. Loved that I could make a reservation online. My niece decided the day before she wanted her birthday lunch here. Was very easy to make the reservation but you do need to create an account with them. The salads are good. The pasta sauce is bland and the prices keep increasing. It is a pleasant atmosphere however, today there was a disgruntled employee, screaming, and shouting about not sneaking up on him. It was very scary being in the restaurant not knowing what was going on, listening to someone screaming and ranting on, no apologies or explanation by the servers or the management. This happened twice in less than 10 minutes. In today's world, you never know what somebody's going to do, people are unstable and I was disappointed that management didn't come through and apologize. I have been here many times and have always loved it, so when she asked me where I wanted to go for my birthday lunch I asked her if she has ever been and she said no. So I picked this place. I told her it was not to be missed. The business has its own parking lot and sits as an out building at Mayfair Mall. Our server brought out our fresh bread right away, pumpernickel and sourdough. If your going here to eat, I suggest you study the menu online as they do have over 250 items to choose from. I ordered the lunch sized Evelyn's Favorite Pasta. Which is penne pasta, broccoli, zucchini, onions, asparagus, tomatoes, peppers roasted in a garlic herb sauce, my friend had the Bang Bang Chicken and Shrimp, which was a Spicy Thai Dish with the Flavors of Curry, Peanut, Chile and Coconut. Sauteed with Vegetables and Served over Steamed White or Brown Rice. Both were very good. There was even some leftovers. Then the best part, our cheesecakes. Decided to take myself out for breakfast so stopped in here at just about noon on a Sunday. Now I know this place isn't known for its breakfast service but they do have a brunch menu so I thought I would give it a try, plus I had a reward for a free piece of cheesecake. On my arrival business looked good but there were many empty tables in the large dining room, things picked up as I ate my meal. Service was quick, friendly, attentive and efficient. My waitress asked for my drink order and brought a basket of bread, 3 pieces of sourdough and 3 pieces of pumpernickel. Both were warm and good but served with a very cold and hard slab of butter. Known for their very large menu I decided to just stick with my original plan of getting breakfast. I chose the Factory Create Your Omelette, and requested the omelette to include ham, cheddar cheese, tomatoes and green onions. Food arrived quickly, was hot and served with a side of "breakfast potatoes " and 2 pieces of buttered toast and strawberry jam (not fresh or house made). The omelette was a bit on the small side but tasty enough. There wasn't a lot of ham and the cheese made it a bit greasy, probably due to the quality of the cheese used. The potatoes were the unintended star here. Cubes of potatoes cooked so crisp on the outside and tender on the inside, they were delicious. I got a piece of peach perfect with raspberry drizzle cheesecake. It was good but you could definitely tell the peaches used were canned. I have always enjoyed Cheesecake Factory. I've been to this one many times since I first came to Milwaukee in 2005, then I left, then I came back. Their menu is huge. The options are great. I have favorites that I go to when I go. My absolute favorite is a seasonal item -- fire roasted artichoke. This time, it was a super cold day, so I went in to get lunch and dinner because I wanted to go home and not go out again until I needed to. I was able to get a chicken katsu bowl (the bowls were a new addition since the last time I was there), and the Tuscan Chicken (one of my normal meals I like). I also got th ahi nachos. Those were great; I hadn't had those before. I got spinach dip since that would keep for later. It came with so many chips, that I could save those for a separate meal with left over brisket I had. I also got pineapple upside down cheesecake, because it it doesn't taste like cheesecake, and I like pineapple upside down cake. So, I'm getting 5 meals out of my lunch and dinner portion because of the portions. I'm happy with the cost to meal ratio. Offering lots of options for under 590 calories, we were both satisfied with our meals, I got a ginormous Asian chicken salad that I had to have help finishing! I have ordered a bowl of soup for dinner previously. The bowls are very large when you dine in. I decided to order to go and to my surprise the container they put my soup in isn't the same portion as if, I was dining in. The price isn't cheaper. Again after waiting for 1 hour, I asked and was told we would be next and that our table was still being used. My wife went around the diner and found an abundant of tables not being used. My daughter encountered the so called manager and his excuse was that the booth we were asigned was still being used. NOTE: We never ask for a booth and tables brought together would have been just fine. Tha manager was dismisive and rude. After another 15 minutes we left for another restaurant (Olive Garden) and received immediate seating and the staffing was great. In my opinion, the manager should be fired and hostess retrained. We recieved a $50.00 ecard for christmas. All was fine until checkout. The $50.00 ecard had been accessed and thier was only $21.76 left. We live 40 minutes away and have never used the ecard previously. The waitress did all she could. She ran the card twice. She then called in her manager. He said there was nothing he could do. This was not true. There was nothing he chose to do. They have a system where other parties can access the ecard just using the card number. So, we were scammed out of $28.24. Pumpkin Pecan Cheesecake: The Cheesecake Factory's cheesecakes are one of my favorite desserts. I've tried most of the flavors that I intend to, as a few just don't appeal to me (mostly the fruity ones, yuck!). It's a slow process since I like returning to my favorites rather than risk trying a new one every time I go. Plus, they offer over 30 varieties. For loving pumpkin as much as I do, it's astounding that I've never tried their pumpkin cheesecake. I was going to finally do it this year, but I was lured away by the similar (but flashier) Pumpkin Pecan Cheesecake. This slice takes the Cheesecake Factory's classic Pumpkin Cheesecake, places it on a layer of pecan pie (complete with a pastry crust), and tops it all with sweet and gooey caramel, whipped cream, and more pecans. The flavor and texture of the pumpkin cheesecake is exquisite. There's no burning spice to it and texture aside it's like pumpkin pie with a bit of a tang. Speaking of pie, that's exactly what the bottom portion of the slice is. Not that this slice doesn't already have enough going on for it, but the caramel topping adds more sweetness while pairing well with both the pumpkin and pecan flavors. My only minor complaint is the pie flavored crust is a little boring. I'm more of a fan of the traditional graham cracker crust and some of the Cheesecake Factory's other more outlandish crust creations. My friend's & I went to this location after work to enjoy their happy hour from 3-6p. In order to receive their special's you have to seat in their bar area only which should be available anywhere you seat in the restaurant. Our waitress was kind but we noticed she had a lot of tables. I would not even be reviewing if it weren't for the manager. Found a couple hairs in the food, it happens. They remake the food and bring it out. Nope, the manager and staff want to claim it wasn't a hair and was the ginger. Ginger is yellowish when cooked and little orange. These were black. So, why would I bother to review the Cheesecake Factory given that it is a national phenomenon and people pretty much have an opinion of it already? The reason is that it could have been better. However, the prices of the items and the quality of preparation cannot be ignored. The value to cost ratio isn't aligned. The sheer vastness of the menu, the size of the place and the crazy turnover of employees is a recipe for mediocrity. When one is not actually trapped inside an airport terminal without much selection, it doesn't really make sense to eat at chain places like this. In fact, I hadn't until I had a situation where it was a choice others wanted. The server was pleasant, the food was decent but the bill was as high as a premium restaurant.
