Fantastic brunch! Came here for book club. Food was amazing and the cost was pretty good for all the food we got.

This was a really nice place for brunch. They had a wide range of options and their French toast are so tasty. Service was a little slow but that's because the place is always busy so that's okay. Definitely a great place for big groups.

We ate here while in town from Florida and it never disappoints. The loukomans, (4 for two of us) are a special treat before ordering. My wife and I ordered a cali omelet (4 egg) with avocdo on tope, with hash browns, toast and a side of sausage patties. The kitchen split the order into two plates, with no extra charge and the size was more than the two of us could dad. Morgan was great with Oder taking, keeping out. coffee cups full and pacing everything to Mke a great breakfast even better.

I've been to Honey Butter Café a few times, and the reason that I went back was for their delicious complementary honey butter rolls, and decent food...NEVER AGAIN. We decided to go during weekend brunch, it was so incredibly busy and loud, but we decided to stay for cocktails and a meal. We ordered the seasonal special, they asked how we wanted our eggs, and fiancé said poached and I said over easy. His egg came out HARDER THAN A HARD BOILED EGG. After our server checked on multiple of the people eating near us, she did not ask us if we needed anything, and I had to flag someone else down to calmly ask to make a new poached egg. 15 minutes later, they brought out a completely undercooked egg that was in a bowl with more water and uncooked whites than cooked bits - it was disgusting. I had to flag someone down again to complain, because they thought that that was an acceptable thing to serve, even though my fiancé's food that he was waiting to eat for a runny egg was entirely cold by this point. After this woman server called me a curse word in Spanish, very close to where I was sitting, I complained to the manager, and they took the meal off of our tab. They also hadn't even given us the honey buns at any point, even though they are complimentary, we had ordered cocktails and food, and everyone else around us got them without ordering. Very confused by these choices. The manager and bartender and other staff apologized for this one woman's behavior but I won't be back. What an insulting way to treat a fellow human being who wanted a meal to be eaten as ordered.

Amazing! Live this place. Great for brunch and to meet with friends and family. A place where you can relax let someone else do all the cooking so that you can enjoy the company and have great conversations with every person. Service was good and friendly. We will keep coming back.

I can see why this was voted as one of the best places to eat in Milwaukee! I'm not a brunch person usually, but this place is a great option. I love that there were more lunch-oriented options and appetizers like the fried mac & cheese balls. I had the chicken & waffle, and it was excellent. There was definitely a sweetness to the breading of the chicken that reminded me a bit of Chick-fil-A. The soup was a great starter too.

Good coffee great friendly service large portions of solid food. It's certainly in the rotation for breakfast spots. The best though were these donuts covered in honey they brought out to the table absolutely delicious, although I felt terrible about how much honey probably gets tossed each day left over in every one of those bowls . Most importantly it was very clean ... no fruit flies flying around which I really appreciate

I recently visited Honey Butter Cafe in Wisconsin, and was treated to one of the best Breakfast I have ever had! I ordered the Peach French Toast and Banana Bread Latte, so good! My server brought to the table a bowl of these lite as air mini donuts, drizzled with Honey and cinnamon sugar, so delish! The service was fast and friendly, and was Not in a hurry to get Me out of booth. Everyone was kind, and the atmosphere was modern, family friendly, cozy. I am looking forward to returning to Wisconsin again just to eat there!

We enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant and our waitress was very attentive even though she was busy. She was a hustler. My husband had the chicken Parmesan panini and I had the American breakfast. The food was good and we would come back again. My husband enjoyed his Bloody Mary. I also appreciated that she brought glasses of waters without being asked to.

S'mores Brioche French Toast: Honey Butter Café is a delightful café that offers a wide range of breakfast and lunch options made using fresh ingredients from right here in Wisconsin for a true farm-to-table experience. Their specialty is Loukoumades (Honey Puffs) and organic coffee. This is one of my favorite breakfast spots in MKE, so I chose to come here with my family for my birthday breakfast. During our visit all staff were friendly, and our food came super quick. Our waiter Jason did a nice job of being attentive but not overbearing. My go to is their S'mores French Toast. The decadent dish consists of graham cracker crusted brioche bread stuffed with Nutella and topped with an army of mini marshmallows, all coated in flowing chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and powdered sugar. An actual graham cracker graces the summit as the finishing touch (this time around it was no longer standing). The French Toast is warm, thick, sweet, soft, and pleasantly chewy. Chocolate and marshmallow are the dominant flavors with hints of graham cracker and Nutella. To answer all of your questions, yes it did taste as good as it looked. I always feel like I'm eating breakfast at Disney World when I order it. Doughboy approved! Only two minor areas for improvement would be allowing reservations and providing nutritional info. 4.5/5, but will round to 5. *I had the final 1/2 of this dish at home for dinner and I found it to taste even better when eaten after chilled in the fridge. The Nutella hardened and acted like a frosting. Amazing with a warm cup of coffee. Doughboy_Food_Reviews

I so rarely get to Greendale (honestly, can't say that I had ever been to anywhere in the village besides the mall) and I liked that we could make a reservation, making it a nice change of pace. The decor is lovely, very Art Deco, a nod to Eleanor Roosevelt, the namesake of the restaurant. I was very pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the interior was given that the exterior is essentially a strip mall. What's that old saying about books and their covers? Service was great, both attentive and timely, and everyone very much enjoyed their food. Monte Cristo is one of my favorites and this one was done very well. My coffee was also good and she kept it coming, which I also appreciated. Really the only sour note in the entire experience was being asked to vacate the table. While it was not handled terribly poorly, I would have recommended they offer us something to shift to the bar to not end the meal on a less than positive note, but that's just me.

It always seems to be busy, but you would expect that from a restaurant that has been recognized at the national level. Food: The food menu at Wolfe's is eclectic. There are so many interesting dishes to choose from. They do an incredible job of taking a traditional dish and elevating it to the next level. An example is the Spamolette (Spam omelette). It's sophisticated and delicious. This time I ordered the Big McAllister Smashburger. Like everything else, it was flavorful, the right temperature, and enormous. The two smash patties were cooked to create those wonderful lace edges that are super tasty. The rest of the ingredients were well balanced. It was juicy, but not overly sloppy. The fries were well cooked with great flavor. My friend got a side of French toast, which was also delicious. The thick slices of bread had a generous coating of batter and were fried to a nice, firm texture. A nice crust, with a tender center. For drinks, we got the Ube Chai and a mocha latte. Both were made with care, with excellent foam and some latte art. The temperature of the latte was a near-perfect 130°F. Service: They were busy when we arrived, and the host (Wolfgang, the owner) took our name and estimated a 15-minute wait. We checked out the adjacent boutique, where there are also some tables to wait for your table in the restaurant. Our table was ready in 10 minutes. The servers are always peppy and helpful. Efficient service without feeling rushed. Our drinks and food came out after just a short while. The server team made sure all the food was good and kept our water glasses filled. Atmosphere: The place is small, and they have a few seating options, either at a table or at a counter/bar. Not a fan of bar seating, but it works for the right group or for singles. With a full crowd, it can get a little noisy. The tables are small enough that you can lean in to hear. The place has a nice, chill vibe to it. It's an excellent place for breakfast or lunch. Definitely a place that I will continue to return to.
