Small, quaint little shop. Bread is outstanding. So is the coffee - and their breakfast items. First time that I came here I had a cheese and herb biscuit that I still dream about and always hope they offer every time I'm here... but anything I get is so tasty and enjoyable. Friendly staff- love supporting the small businesses.

I went in for an item I saw on FB but hadn't realized it was an old post. But they had another delicious special. Cute little spot. Staff was super friendly.

What a cute little spot. The inside is bright and inviting and the baristas were so nice! They got our order right away and made us some delicious coffee drinks. I had the cookie latte and would highly recommend. We also ordered a cinnamon roll (gf) and breakfast sandwich and fig toast. All of these were good as well. The cinnamon roll frosting was the best part!

So many delicious options we couldn't choose! Shared 3 drinks: supper club spritz w/ champagne, raspberry cold brew and white chocolate strawberry latte. The WCSL was hands down amazing, great strawberry flavor. The spritz is like a bubbly old fashioned also delish! Potato cheddar and herb biscuit (gf) and hot honey scone were both warmed and soooo good. Always so hard to believe just how good the gluten free items are here! Quaint well decorated place w a great rooftop patio and always friendly service!

Finally made in for breakfast and coffee. Amazing space with a very nice rooftop dinning area. I had the Autumn Ricotta Toast and it was so amazing with lots of flavor and fresh ingredients. It was a perfect warm Fall morning and we were able to sit on the rooftop patio to enjoy our food and coffee.

A little hidden gem in West Allis! Full cafe drink menu, sandwiches, and bakery case. I wanted to try everything! The couple working was very welcoming and checked in with us during our visit. I love the merch section also. Fun, hip spot in West Allis!

This is a great family run spot in West Allis area that has a ton of delicious pastries and food to try! The staff were super kind and despite there being a decent number of people in the small store, the line moved fast and service was quick! I got a bagel sandwich(not pictured) with avocado, Cookie butter brioche sweet bun, and the maple bacon scone, along with an iced latte. They were all great and super tasty. We especially loved the icing on the sweet bun. Highly recommend to this with a sweet tooth!

Lovely coffee shop and bakery in West Allis! We stopped in for some cold brews and tea and had the amazing avocado toast with whipped goat cheese. So good! We took a loaf of sourdough home - excellent. The rooftop was the perfect place to relax and enjoy our breakfast. Everyone was friendly and the gentleman making the drinks was seriously hustling on a busy Saturday morning - very impressive. Can't wait to come back!

Love this cute and cozy cafe! It's a great spot in our West Allis neighborhood. Everyone who works there is polite and helpful! This place seems like it's always busy. Luckily, we live close and can walk in whenever! There is a cute rooftop dining area and several places to sit inside. They have baked goods like cookies, cinnamon rolls, and scones. Certain items are available on certain days. They also have a small breakfast and lunch cafe menu, as well as lots of coffee choices. The egg and cheese bagel sandwich with bacon jam is so tasty! My favorites so far include the bacon Parmesan scone and the fresh loaves of bread (sourdough is amazing). I'm not a fan of the cinnamon rolls, but that's just me! There's always a line right when they open on the days they have them. A lot of the baked goods are gluten free and vegan friendly. Options for everyone! It's nice to have a go-to spot like this in town.

Egg she cheese breakfast sandwich on Asiago bagel

What a charming little spot in West Allis! Came here for the first time recently on a Saturday morning. It's a small space but we were able to get a table. Looks like they may have rooftop seating for warmer months, so excited to come back and enjoy that on a sunny morning. I ordered one of their specialty lattes made with almond milk, which was solid. I also ordered the egg and cheese breakfast bagel on an asiago bagel which was also solid. I noticed and was intrigued by the ricotta toast and excited to try that next time. The service was lovely and the prices are reasonable. Get to it!

This is by far one of my favorites near the city based on service, coffee, and food. The storefront is tiny, unless they have the rooftop open (huge plus!). The staff are so sweet and take the time to get to know you. The lattes are so tasty, plus they have a variety of syrups if you wanted to add flavor to your coffee drinks. The food is TO. DIE. FOR. I don't know who is back there baking, but damn they are on POINT! I literally crave their breads all of the time, which vary weekly. You can never go wrong with their sourdough. Their breakfast Sammy on a homemade bagel with bacon jam is a must have Their baked goods tend to vary based on availability and the week. The bagel bites were tasty, but I recommend that they heat them up if you are dining in. We also tried their pizza roll (?), it's hard to explain but omg it was delicious. If you have never had their pizza sourdough loaf I highly recommend, but this is not an everyday item. My family and I go here like 3-4x a month. The sisters who own the shop are THE SWEETEST!! And Devin the barista is amazing, he greets everyone that comes in with a smile on his face and gets to know you, as if you are family. Definitely check this place out if you are looking for tasty food, amazing coffee, and summer vibes on the roof

Lemon pie scone (left) and orange cheesecake cookie (right)
    Greg B.

I wanted to stop at The Bread Peddlers and pickup a cinnamon roll at a minimum, but they had sold out by the time I got there (11:15am) on a busy looking Sunday morning. Not want to leave empty handed, I bought a lemon pie scone and an orange cheesecake cookie. The cookie was very thick and looked almost scone like. I could lightly taste the orange and I assume the cheesecake part came from the frosting drizzled on top because nothing inside the cookie was cheesecake-like. It was fine, but probably not something I'd get again. The lemon pie scone had awesome lemon flavor. I'm a big fan of lemon flavored baked goods like bars and cookies, so I say it with some level of expertise that this scone is as good as cookies and bars elsewhere. It was dairy free, too, for anyone that needs to be dairy free. I look forward to trying a cinnamon roll on a future visit and will arrive before 10am next time like the guy filling my order recommended.

Coffee is now ubiquitous with daily life in America, which brings me to Qamaria Coffee. Hatem and Munif are two Yemeni entrepreneurs with a passion for Yemeni Coffee and the joint goal of wanting to share it with the world. They founded Qamaria Coffee in 2019 to accomplish this task and in January 2024, they opened a location near Milwaukee in Greenfield, WI. Qamaria offers a variety of dessert options, including a Chocolate Tres Leches, Pistachio Tres Leches, and Caramel Tres Leches cakes. I went with the caramel version, which is described by the cafe as "A decadent caramel treat inspired by tres leches cake, creamy, sweet, and irresistibly smooth". If you've never had Tres Leches Cake, it's a light sponge cake soaked in three types of milk (evaporated, condensed, and whole) that's popular in Latin America. The cake originated in Nicaragua during the 19th century, so on first glance it's not exactly a Yemeni dessert. Doing some research, Middle Eastern variations exist that feature cardamom or rose water and some Qamaria locations do have a Rose Tres Leches. It's fine that the Greenfield location did not have that variety as I honestly would have got the caramel version anyway. My slice was perfectly moist as there was plenty of milk soaked in, but not so much that it made a mess or compromised the structure of the cake. The bottom layer was soft and Tiramisu-like in texture, while the cream on top was rich and thick. Personally, I found the caramel flavor to be mild, but delicious. As it is served chilled, it paired nicely with a hot cup of coffee (which they have a plethora of options to choose from). Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews
