I visited the cheesecake lady's food truck and was charged more than the sign advertised I'll throw photos in this review, but the sign said everything was $15. However, one of the items I purchased, I was rung up for $17. I know it is a small difference but if you're going to have an item that is going to be a different cost, you need to advertise that to your customers. I'm 'somewhat' of a cheesecake fanatic. My wife would make two of them on my birthday. I live in New York City and there are MANY great cheesecakes in the city - Junior's to name one! We were going out to eat this evening, and across the street from the restaurant was The Cheesecake Lady. We had seen the store opening - it's new to the West Ave location - and wanted to try it. We saw it was closing at 6, so we got a small cheesecake to go, before we went out to eat. It was very cold outside, so we put the cheesecake in the car. We went right home after dinner - we were anxious to try the cheesecake! I'm used to a cheesecake with a thicker consistency....this one was a much lighter texture - very creamy. Typically, I never really liked the lighter texture, as I've had all different kinds. My favorite is a plain cheesecake with a sour cream frosting. However, the taste of this cheesecake was superb - it was rich and flavorful - not too sweet. The deliciousness of the cheesecake compensated for its lighter texture. I don't know how I forgot to leave a review for The Cheesecake Lady. I have visited this place quite a few times. It has become a staple and go to for my cheesecake sweet tooth. During my most recent visit, I purchased the strawberry crunch cake, carrot cake cheesecake, butter pecan cheesecake, and oatmeal raisin cheesecake. Wheewwww!!! I cannot say how incredibly good these cheesecakes are. You can tell each cheesecake is made with the finest ingredients. I got the pleasure of trying the cheesecake lady cheesecake I tried the banana caramel one and it was absolutely amazing. I did not expect them to have cheesecake at the carshow for my dads work but I'm so glad they did. It was the perfect mashup of caramel and banana topped with some crumbles which was so good. My dad had the same thing I did and he thought it was great and filling. He said it's full of flavor and delicious. The service was so friendly, my dad forgot a fork and they gave me another fork for him. I understand the hype. These cheesecakes are so freaking good. We went bright and early as soon as they opened and still had to wait 5 mins as a few people were waiting outside to order. It was quick though. There were about 6-7 different flavor options that day and I got myself a strawberry shortcake cheesecake and I got my husband the brownies cheesecake. He enjoyed it but he said he still prefers the Oreo dream from tcf. I however am not a cheesecake fan but I tour this one up. I loved it because it was light and airy. It's a small business that you could easily miss when driving by unless you see the long line they have most days. It's standing room only for getting in to get your desserts and then leaving to make room for the next patron. So no dining in here. The staff is friendly, welcoming and courteous. You've definitely gotta have a strategy for getting your hands on one of them as you can't order ahead and they only sell small personal size cheesecakes. All of the cheesecakes here are incredible but my favorite is the peanut butter cheesecake and the strawberry crunch cake...OMG!! The menu changes weekly but you can call to find out what they have or follow them on IG/social media to see their weekly offerings. Some try to go before business hours to secure their spot in line. Once your in you can purchase as many as you like unless there's a lot of people waiting and they want to give others an opportunity to get their hands on one. Today was the day I FINALLY got over to the tiny pink bakery that sits besides Sprinkles ice cream on Township Line Rd in charming Elkins Park. As this was my first trip here and the hype about the place I secretly feared I would encounter a "soup nazi" type establishment. However quite the opposite. This pink palace is small so, only a few customers in allowed at a time. Despite the line, I was not rushed and was greeted politely. I stood wide eyed at the glass display holding well over 10 various flavors of tiny little cheesecakes. Each adorning toppings to challenge the willpower of anyone trying to limit themselves. (I do believe the store has a limit on busy days to help curb the enthusiasm of the overzealous) The woman behind the counter was helpful and patiently waited as I deliberated my choices. NOW, to those amazing little cakes! Let me state I AM NOT a fan of cheesecake, nor would it be my desert of choice, that said. These, may have brought me to the dark side, and I'm fearful I may never leave. The graham cracker crumb is light and crumbly the texture rich and smooth and every bite is simply divine. I honestly can not choose which is better the fudge brownie or the banana pudding. I was compelled to write this review before I even opened my baby cakes, yet I am certain, even though they aren't the flavors I would have chosen they will indeed pleasure my palate Ideally, I would love to give this gem 5*, the reasons I cannot are as follows: Only open Thurs/Sun which would account for the line that one must wait in to even try the decadence within. The selling of "merch" - this distracts from the product that can very well stand on its own. I do realize many places offer merch, however; to me it's a turnoff. Most importantly, the lack of full size cakes prepped to go. The Cheesecake Lady specializes in mini deserts. Small two serving cakes and "babycakes" which are only sold as packaged as is and not pick and choose. The idea for variety is indeed appealing, however not everyone fancies the flavors chosen. It would be far more delightful to be able to choose like donuts. Honestly with the business she does she wouldn't loose out on having babies sold individually, by the half or even full dozen. I do believe people would come and grab one or two much like the novelty cupcake bakeries around So there you have it. Finally made it to The Cheesecake Lady. The staff were friendly. I got there around 1:15 and there was no line and they hadn't completely sold out yet. I wanted to get the baby cakes so that I could try more flavors but they were all sold out. I ended up getting two minis: cookie butter (biscoff) and banana pudding. Both flavors were good but the banana pudding was better (in my opinion). I'm not giving 5 stars because I personally prefer my cheesecake to be firmer. Okay I've been to the cheesecake lady twice so time to review. Now I'm from a city that has a place that is known for cheesecake (Brooklyn, Junior's) and this place has much better tasting cheesecake. They only sell one personal size which I love! They usually only have 2-3 favors to choose from when I go. I think they rotate 5 flavors a day. The price is reasonable. A great place to get cheesecake. I so far have tasted the caramel and cinnamon roll cheesecakes. They taste good and very similar. The only difference I noticed is the cinnamon roll cheesecake has a pinwheel roll I think in the middle with caramel on top of the cheesecake. I included a picture of the cinnamon roll cheesecake and the banana pudding cheesecake. This is a place you must check out if you are a cheesecake lover. My favorite cheesecake is chocolate cheesecake which they don't have. But they have a chocolate chip cheesecake which I will definitely try next. read more

Let me first start by saying I ended up here by accident on purpose. I seen two of my Twitter followers talking about this place and thought I'll try out one day. Then one of the girls uploaded the IG screenshot for this place and me being me decided to go look. I went on the IG page and then the website. Before I knew it, I was in my car on my way to go stand in line too buy a cheesecake. No plans. No idea on what to get. Just vibes!!! I literally waited in line for 30 minutes with no idea on what to get. I got inside and asked another customer what he was getting. Yes ladies and gentlemen, The cheesecake lady is the perfect cheesecake. It taste like nana's cheesecake. Their cakes are definitely made with love and quality ingredients. I ended up purchasing two flavors, I got the cinnamon roll and the strawberry shortcake. The cinnamon roll was my favorite. It had a thick cinnamon glaze and a small cinnamon roll on top of the cheesecake. Throughout the cheesecake it had pieces of cinnamon rolls and the bottom was a sugary graham cracker crust delicious!! The strawberry shortcake was also yummy. It had a layer of cake and was topped with strawberries and a strawberry glaze as well as whipped cream. These cheesecakes are rich, thick and creamy. The prices are kinda steep but worth it. There about 10.00 a pop but each slice is pretty heavy and can last awhile. OMG! This is the place to go for cheesecake. I went there for the first time yesterday. I was mesmerized by the selection. I had to stand there a moment to absorb it all. I finally settled on the Salted Caramel with Walnuts & the Pineapple. They give you a generous portion I could only eat a few bites, but I kept going back because it was so good. I ended up eating half then finishing it off late last night. My friend who had the Pineapple did the same.They were absolutely delicious. One hour before closing on the Friday before Christmas left us with slim pickings and not much to choose from. We chose a lemon cheesecake, a lemon cake and an oatmeal raisin cookie. Vanessa was busy baking in the back but came out front to speak with us and tell us about her business. I was very impressed with the decor of her bakery and the friendliness of her and her staff.
