Wilson Heights Park - July 2020, they didn't put the awning up this year probably because of the Pandemic & park closures

He decided to place it inside a little free library at this park. I loved how cute the little free library looked and I'm a fan of these libraries (one of my cool pastimes that I have picked up during this pandemic) that I decided to check it out last Sunday. I drove along Allen Road and it was easy exiting off the Wilson Heights ramp to get to this park. I parked on Dresden Road and walked over. This park is ideal to sit on one of the colourful Muskoka chairs and read a book. Alternatively, it's the perfect setting to eat lunch. It's surprisingly quiet and pleasant. The little free library is one of the better ones out there. You can look at all the books without opening the latched door. I had a duplicate cookbook that I wanted to add to this library. I placed it between the yarmulke that was still there and the Fifty Shades trilogy that was available. It felt weird and funny. There were a few people out and about. I took a bit of time to walk around the park. It's smack in the middle of a residential area. I'm glad that I dropped by as I was heading over to Vaughan from downtown Toronto. I look forward to coming back to check out the park again and see what books are available at the little free library. Perhaps I'll bring my lunch. (363)

His interactions with other children at school were very problematic because of this. The counselor said he understood and booked me in, alone, no child, for a series of sessions. At no point was he interested in meeting or working with the child. All he wanted to do was train me in the "Magic 1-2-3" method of behaviour modification. We watched DVDs together. For weeks. Needless to say, this had zero impact on the actual presenting reason for attending - impulse control and anger management. Counselor seemed to have just one tool in his tool box and he was determined to use it, even though it was irrelevant to our situation. Complete waste of time.

Our experience with Aisling Discoveries was disappointing if not disturbing…read more The staff we were involved with had little to offer in terms of helpful support that addressed the needs of the children involved. The staff members we met with had difficulty communicating outside of their frame of reference and were entrenched in their personal mindset. Additionally, these same staff members often failed to return phone calls promptly if at all. This agency offers many programs and probably some have merit but one on one family support is seriously lacking the ability to relate to family concerns.

My fiance and I had no idea what kind of trouble we were getting ourselves into when we ran into the owner Chris Jakubowski on one of our dog walks. He said he would make sure we were taken care of when it came to the hall decor because Mega City Linen was connected with our venue, The Doctor's House. We thought we had a hook up so I phoned immediately and made an appointment. Everything seemed fine at first even though we chose a few items (1 linen, a money box and 2 large standing vases, all under $100). They even recommended a florist, which we went with. However, things got extremely difficult when I called to cancel the 2 large standing vases. We were forced to accept that we wouldn't get our money back for the items we didn't want but we had credit to use toward other items. Through email, I asked employee Jennifer for an updated digital copy of our contract so it would be on record. After that didn't happen, I called and left a message because Jennifer was busy. I never received a call back. Throughout the last couple months before our wedding, we chased Mega City through phone and email, repeatedly asking for an updated contract. Their communication was extremely poor and it's like after we didn't want items, they stopped being helpful and they couldn't care less since they already had our payment. We even got our wedding coordinator involved and through her we found out that Jennifer wasn't even working there anymore. I wrote a complaint email to the owner Chris and thought since we met him personally, that he would help the situation. But I was wrong and he didn't lift a finger or email me back. We dealt with the new employee named Toni and at our inconvenience, my fiance had to go up to their office for a third time to pick out additional linens. It turns out that the linens listed weren't even the right ones picked from our first visit. And after all that trouble, Mega City expected us to pick them up ourselves because they didn't deliver. My fiance ran into the owner Chris on that same day and told him what was happening and Chris' answer to all that was that "he was too busy to answer all his emails". This company is a complete mess. I have a strong feeling that the 5 star reviews you see on the internet for Mega City are written by people who are connected to the other employees or by family--which makes them biased and invalid. Don't waste your time trying to chase this company and play phone and email tag with them. They may be cheaper but you get what you pay for. Waste of time, waste of money and completely awful.
