I can tell the people who work here are passionate about what they do. I will pay to sign her up for another class and have her try something else until she finds something that she likes and ignites the love of art in her. We are lucky to have this place.

And she is an opinionated person who doesn't just automatically adore every school or camp or hobby she's done. Ms. Cynthia runs the place so smoothly. Always polite. Always patient. Pure professionalism and kindness with the kids. Kiddo loves Ms. Star so much that she has picked up some of her motivational quotes and mannerisms at home, haha. All of the instructors are amazing with the controlled chaos that art with a bunch of kids every day just inherently entails. They also treat our kid with respect and kind authority instead of that condescension thing most adults just lean on. I appreciate the crap out of that since that's how we treat kids too. I'm freaking impressed. Constantly. I don't worry about our kid when she's with you and that means everything. Thank y'all. (I didn't know which website the reviews mean the most at so I'm putting this one on here and Google and Facebook probably.)

And the fact that it's less than ten minutes from home makes it even better. This is truly a perfect spot for young children--everything is set up to spark curiosity while still being age-appropriate and safe. After our very first visit, my daughter completely fell in love and absolutely was not ready to leave. That alone told me everything I needed to know. We decided to become members shortly after, and honestly, it was a great choice. The value, the experience, and the joy it brings her make it 100% worth it. Highly recommend for parents looking for something fun and educational. We'll definitely be back--again and again.

My husband and I are both in STEM careers - so any chance we get, we're trying to introduce our daughters to STEM activities and this place did not disappoint. The staff were very kind and welcoming. They had the girls put on their lab coats and safety glasses, explained the science lab rules and helped clean up our messes as we moved through the stations. We got to do so many activities and experiments and you also got to take your slime/product home after. I will say the time goes very fast so you do have to be quick if you want to try out more of the experiments. This place can also host birthday parties & field trips which I thought was so neat!

My family and I have been using this location primarily since getting our membership about 6 months ago. We visit the Y 4-7 days a week and our experiences have been overall very good! Facility: The overall facility is really impressive in my opinion. It is shockingly large (but it makes sense because of the population size it serves) the locker rooms are really pretty nice and all the restrooms on site are always spotless and well kept. Areas like the turf/lifting area, cardio area, lobbies, outdoor pool, indoor pool (basically everywhere) really surpassed my expectations as far as quality and upkeep. The facilities are always clean and just look good in general Equipment: The equipment is very diverse and there are PLENTY of machines and equipment. Multiple of everything or at least multiple versions of equipment that target the same muscles or do the same thing. I only occasionally notice a machine not working and it is always working again within a few days. Most people do wipe down the machines after use but I've also noticed staff with wipe down equipment here and there- makes me feel good that the machines are kept sanitized throughout the day :) Classes: There are ALOT of different classes to take at the Y that are included in your membership. Yoga, hot yoga, boot camp classes, Zumba, water exercise, etc., classes are easy to book through the app and are in individual studios in the Y Childcare: I'm a stay at home mom with a 1 (now almost 2) year old. This is the first daycare situation I've ever put my child in. The childcare director (I forget her name, but the older woman who has an office outside of the childcare center) has amazing experience and is so kind and understanding. It was really hard for me to leave my baby the first few times when she was screaming bloody murder at drop off but this woman was very kind and understanding of my feelings while encouraging me to keep at it and assuring me she would adjust within a week or two. I followed her advice and brought my baby every weekday no matter what and she stopped crying at drop off on day 6 :) she now happily runs all the way to childcare and typically walks in happily of her own free will ;) I feel very comfortable with the daycare staff caring for my child, in the evening they are mostly younger girls who are energetic and friendly with the kids. On warm days they typically play on the playground for awhile and my baby always comes out with a drawing to show me and it makes me so happy! Youth sports: While my child is not old enough to be in youth sports yet, the Y does have A LOT OF SPORTS for children; basketball, soccer, volleyball, ninja obstacle course, just to nap a few. I have volunteer coached for two of these sports and my experience with the youth sports director Jesse, has been great! Jesse is fantastic at coordinating these events (practices and games) and seems truly passionate about making the program the best it can be for the kids and the parents. I've had a lot of fun coaching and seeing kids build their confidence through team sports and make friends while playing their sport :) Staff: I haven't had any personal experiences with a personal trainer but I see them with people everyday, they seem very knowledgeable and supportive of their client. The staff at the front desk has been able to assist me with any thing I've needed so far. Childwatch staff is my fav because they make my kid happy :). The staff who monitor each workout area are like flies on the wall, they don't bother anyone but keep the area clean. Lifeguards are on the younger side (especially in the summer) and have all been pretty fun and always polite. Overall the staff at this location get the job done and are very nice. Overall we are in love with this location and while I'm interested in visiting other locations, D Bradley McWilliams is our home! I definitely recommend checking it out and doing a day pass (which includes 2 days) at the very least. The amount we pay for our membership is more than worth it for what we get out of this Y

Unfortunately, certain…read morelifeguards play music over the sound system so loud that I can't hear my children if they are on the other side of the pool. This is a major safety issue. I have shared my feelings with the pool manager and several of the lifeguards. Their response is always the same. Apology followed by a reduction in volume. Then, the lifeguards incrementally raise the volume until it is at it's original level. It's supposed to be a safe swimming pool, not a rock concert. What is with you YMCA. It's time to put the safety of your patrons first. If lifeguards can't do their job without listening to music they should find another job. Turn down the music! Better yet, turn it off. If people want to listen to music they generally bring their own.
