Sammi took over as manager and owner. He has been a wonderful change. My son just turned two and says hi and bye to him. The teachers and office staff are the true heart beat of the school. My son is always excited to go to school and never wants to leave. He has so much fun learning. The school teaches more than just letters and numbers, they teach the kids to be his citizens. Thank you, please, excuse me, cleaning you table after eating, pushing in chairs, simple things that every good citizen should know. My son's favorite day: SPLASH DAY!! I'm not even sure where to start, because I love this daycare. Background: Our little one started at a different daycare at 4 months. She was born with a few health issues, so you can only imagine I'm a little bit of a worrywart. We liked the staff, the facility was new and clean, but they would be out of kid:teacher ration fairly frequently. The director was never there, didn't know anyone's name, and could barely tell you what was going on in her facility. One day, they missed a bottle with our child (she went 7 hours without drinking/eating and they "couldn't figure out why she was upset") and we never returned. Currently at The Goddard School: The Goddard School has been a Godsend for us. They truly are as good as it gets. Carolyn and Geraldine are the directors there, and they are fully involved in what happens in the daycare. They are always open for conversation and make you feel comfortable when having to bring up any concerns you may have. They know all the kids and their parents' names. They are in and out of the classrooms frequently. They get to know their children well, so they can tell when someone isn't feeling great. They communicate with parents frequently via phone calls. They even accept the fact that I'm a little bit neurotic and call (almost) daily just to check-in on my little one. One thing that really stands out about this daycare is the staff. The teachers are fantastic! They care for the kids like they are their own. I'm not sure how they do it, but all the staff pretty much knows all the children (yes there is some turnover but that is normal in this industry). I don't even know every staff member (especially in the older rooms), but they know my child. It's really comforting knowing everyone in the building seems to know each other and the kids. My little one is 13 months and smiles every time she sees the teachers or directors. She really enjoys being there. We see other kids walk in and run to give the directors hugs, say hi to various teachers, and it's just a very safe feeling you get as a parent leaving your kid at this Goddard School. I would recommend this Goddard School over and over again. read more

What started as a good experience slowly progressed to a very bad one. The directors at The Goddard School on Eastloch are extremely unprofessional and their communication is subpar. The school was closed for days at a time with absolutely no notice whatsoever. The director(s) sent messages to parents giving reasons why they had to close for only to find out that the reason was nothing short of a lie. When we told them that we were unenrolling our daughter they sent all of her belongings with our neighbor in a garbage bag rather than calling us to pick them up. We are extremely disappointed in The Goddard at Eastloch and regret referring them any business after their poor behavior. read more

We decided to place our son in this Wonderful school after trying out an in-home care and another day care center (honestly, both of those were more convenient to my route to and from work). BUT, let me just say, We are Soooooo Very Very HaPpY with EVERY SINGLE person at our "second home"!!! They have become family Each morning they greet us (and everyone) with smiles, true care and concern for how we're doing! Our son has grown by leaps and bounds! Just Friday, we were told our 13 month old puts his own sippy cup in the sink after his meal And throws his plate in the trash! That is so dadgum cute and Awesome! Over the Thanksgiving holiday our family asked "he covers his mouth when he coughs?!!" We were all Blown away! To top it all off, our son is Happy, Safe and Thriving! The management they allow to run these schools are a complete joke. The assistant director in Spring is 22 years old with no degree and her only qualification seems to be that she is friends with the director. The director bounces between one school and another and is never around. She didn't know basic information about how the school was run on a day to day level. The owner is the same and just lets the two run amok. They are both incredibly rude, immature and unorganized. Teachers never have supplies available, it takes up to an hour to get a restroom break pretty often (I've seen teachers pretty much holding themselves), and the pay is low. They have pretty much come out and say that they will never give raises either. Also, they frequently engage in shady behavior like doctoring forms to look like they've done things they haven't. The teachers will almost never get time to create lessons plans and they will bully and insult them for it. If they are having trouble in a room or are stressed out, they will act like something is wrong with them because you can't "tough it out". I've seen teachers cry. They penny pinch to a fault. They barely give our any decent amount of snacks to the children and all the toys are old and broken. I've seen the same puzzle for years go between all different classes at different developmental levels. Splash Days, the summer camp, literally just means they turn the sprinklers on - and some days they don't even manage that. Teachers wind up having to throw water on the kids using a cup. There is an incredibly high turnover rate. Don't fall in love with any of the teachers because they will be out of there soon enough. In summary, rude and incompetent front office that is CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP. You will pay out the nose for this garbage and your kids will suffer for it. read more

My daughters have attended this school for over 2 years and we could not be happier with our decision. The new owners have really put a lot of time, effort and money into this school and have taken it from good to great! One of our favorite additions has been the new on-site splashpad that the kids absolutely LOVE! The student/teacher ratio is low and the staff are always genuinely happy to be there and see the children every day. I always get comments from others that my daughters seem advanced for their age and I credit a lot of that to the amazing teachers at Goddard. They have a great curriculum and I love receiving pictures and videos of my daughters throughout the day and a detailed report at the end of the day showing everything they did. The directors feel like family to us and know all the children and parents at the school by name. The directors are hands on in the classrooms as well and know each child so well that I even have peace of mind with one of my daughters who has asthma. I always get a phone call if she ever has an issue and I completely trust their judgement. Most importantly I know the staff loves my children and they take care of them like they would their own. There is no better feeling than knowing your children are well taken care of and loved on throughout the day! read more

I cannot say enough about this pre-school. Our child has been attending for over a year now and it has been a wonderful experience for her and us. The facility is beautifully maintained and always smells clean (definitely a hot button for me) and the staff are wonderful. Mr. Sami is there al the time and knows everyone by name. The directors do as well and are always available whenever we have a question or just stop to chat on our way in or out. The teachers all clearly love what they do. Our daughter always comes home with something new to tell us or show us that she's learned. What a fantastic place. read more

If I could give this school another star, I would. Goddard is absolutely fabulous and I wish I brought my little boy here sooner. A good friend had strongly recommended that we try this location, but it was further than I wanted to drive, so I did not take the advice much to my own regret. My son will be 3 in October. He is very intelligent, but also very high-energy. We decided to put him in school to help him focus and channel the energy. Several months back, we tried a Primrose school. The classroom seemed overcrowded and the kids didn't have a place to burn off energy in the summer heat. His language skills rapidly developed, but he never seemed happy when I dropped him off (sometimes refusing to get out of the car). He started getting injured a lot. When he busted his lip the 2nd time in 3 weeks and got a black eye, we pulled him out. Next, we tried a Montessori. My boy's language skills declined over a month and I became alarmed when he started grunting and pointing again. The teacher was obsessed with always keeping the order in the classroom and she seemed perturbed that my boy was easily made bored with the repetitive Montessori tasks. She was even annoyed when I went to pick up my son and some of the other children got up from their nap mats to go look at my baby in his stroller. That combined with the observation that the other children often behaved like they were in a scene from Children of the Corn made us pull our son from that school. I finally took the advice of our friend and went to look at Goddard. Ms.Carolyn, the Director, gave us a tour. I was immediately enchanted with the large and brightly decorated classrooms. They were very clean and tidy and had so many activities for the kids. We were shown the gymnasium and my little boy went to town! So many things to do! Ms. Carolyn very kindly let him play and explore. When he didn't want to leave, she allowed him to ride a toy truck back down the hallway. I had to opportunity to speak to Mr. Sammy, the owner, who explained that children need a place to play and have fun in order to learn. We had our little one begin class the following day. When I picked him up, I saw an immediate change in him. He began talking again and he was sleepy and relaxed from all the exercise he was able to get. 3 weeks in and he's a little chatterbox now. He likes going to school in the morning. Ms. Ciera, his teacher, is lovely. She is always smiling and gentle with the kids. The children are always laughing, active, and happy, but not rowdy. This school really has a wonderful formula of letting kids be kids and providing them with ample time to play and burn energy between lessons. It is a very effective way of teaching for our high-energy son. They provide photos throughout the day via the Tadpole app and we recieve a daily report of what he is learning. He comes home sleepy and happy every day, which makes Mommy happy too. We love that he becoming more comfortable speaking. Ms. Carolyn and Mr. Sammy are always easy to find. I cannot give high enough praise to Goddard. They are really helping my sweet little boy shine. read more

After two years of having my child enrolled in this school I have seen a steady decline. Constant teacher turn over, few books, limited learning materials, no variety in arts and crafts materials. We enrolled our two year old son at Goddard in October 2015 and we couldn't be any happier with the school. When we first came in the director, Ms Carolyn, took us around and explained their program and toured the school. We were impressed with the curriculum and activities they had for all the classrooms. Not only do they offer the core subjects, but they incorporate ASL, Yoga, Mandarin, Arts, and STEM. They have a great meal plan with a vegetarian option. The safety and security of the school was also impressive. There is a palm scanner and pin code to enter the school, special doors that will never pinch a child's' fingers, gated and fenced play area only accessible from the classrooms, and most importantly was the location. The school is not on a busy main road and it blends in completely with the surrounding neighborhood. It's nice that there are no 'real life' distractions for the kids when they are playing outside . Yes it is a little of an inconvenience to get off the main road during drop off and pick up during rush hour, but it is well worth it for the peace of mind that there isn't a maniac driving by at high speeds right in front of the school. At first, like normal children, our son didn't take well to going to school. But with the help and caring of the teachers and staff within a week he loved it. The staff was great with getting him adjusted to school, and made sure we were aware of his well being. Throughout the day Ms Carolyn would call us and send pictures to tell us how he was. As a new experience for us they did a great job in keeping us informed. The Daily reports and pictures we get are great at keeping us informed every day. It let us know not only of the things the learned but also gives us a information on naps, potty training, meals, and the social and emotional aspects of our child's day. After being with the school for a few months now we can see a real difference in our son. Before we enrolled he had a verbal developmental delay. By the end of the first month it was gone and he has been a chatter box since. Additionally his thirst for knowledge has grown along with his problem solving and critical thinking skills, his attention span has increased, his social skills have improved, and a positive impact on his attitude and demeanor. The Owner, Ms Asha, has been nothing but wonderful. She along with the directors, Ms Carolyn and Ms Geraldine make the school great. The teachers and staff genuinely care for the kids and take the time to address any needs or concerns we have had. As a parent to know our child is in good loving hands everyday is the greatest feeling in the world. read more

Please think twice about Choosing the Goddard school for employment or even enrolling your child. Everything Linda D, was very accurate. Once the school started their Lunch Program it has not been right, they will serve a child cold food and not think twice about it, even though their parents pay the extra price for the school to provide their child with lunch. A lot of things go unseen, by parents because the administrative staff puts on a front, and then says inappropriate things behind the parents back. read more
