They kept 84 garments but paid $86 and change. The rest of the items they said were either old or had stains... I went back through the items and it wasn't that items were old or stained but the items were mostly the newborn or 3-6mos. Every items that was still tagged or new with no tag so tried on was all gone, granted some of the 3-6 mos clothing had tags but they kept those. Then they state you down make you feel pressured to hurry up and make a decision, oh and I wasn't allowed to look through the items before I made my decision. I'd rather have a yard sale and make 100% profit than to be rushed to pick up my deselected items for an unreasonable price and deal with their bad attitudes. SO MAMAS OUT THERE....IF YOU TAKE CLOTHING IN TAKE INVENTORY OF YOUR ITEMS AND SET A PRICE IN YOUR HEAD TO CAP ON!! This way you'll know if it's worth it or they're ripping you off for their own profit. Remember they're Not your only option

I made a 2 hour drive to bring a medium sized reusable bag of *most preferred* items. I stopped at the Kirkwood location that had quit accepting items for the day at 2pm on a Monday. I called prior to coming to the store and told that they didn't make appointments. After not being able to sell at the Kirkwood location, I drove to the Fairview Heights location. I came in the Fairview Heights location which had a sign on the door that said everyone was limited to 1 tote/bag. I understand this to keep the line moving. However, there were multiple people who were in front of me that had brought in 3-4 totes full and were still accepted. I got to the Fairview Heights OUAC around 6pm. I checked my items in and was told that anything left overnight would be donated. However, the estimated time until my items were done was a whopping 7 hours and 25 minutes. If the store closes at 8pm and items left overnight were going to be donated, how am I supposed to wait 7 hours and 25 minutes? I understand that they get busy during the evening hours because people are off of work, however, if they are going to post that drop offs are limited to 1 container per person, they need to stick to that rule. I didn't want my stuff donated so I asked for my bag of stuff back and left. I'm now driving two hours home after going to TWO different locations in which I wasn't able to sell at either.

The cute starts before you even get inside, since this place is inside of a cottage type house... the sign is pretty small, so keep a look out! As soon as I made my way inside I was automatically in an even better mood, because the place is just so darn adorable. Bright colors everywhere, and just the coolest kids clothes I've ever seen. There was a birthday girl dress hanging up on the wall that I would have killed to have as a kid. As Julia pointed out, there's more girl clothes than boy clothes. I found about ten little tiny dresses I could see myself going crazy over once I have little ones (you know, a very very very long time from now.) On the way out, I took a photo of the most adorable formal dress for a baby girl (only $45!) and sent it to my mom, and she thought I was going crazy and bought it for myself for when I have future children. So that's good. But really I just thought it was cute and put it back on the rack... Stop by for clothes for your baby or even a special gift for someone who's expecting. Hard not to smile in this place!

I am writing to formally report a concerning experience I had at one of your store locations that I…read morebelieve reflects poor customer service and possible bias. While shopping, I noticed a large tote priced at $25 that contained four smaller mini totes inside. There were multiple displays like this on the aisle, and none of the mini totes had individual price tags. Based on the presentation and labeling, it reasonably appeared to be a set. When I reached the register, the cashier asked if I would like to purchase all of the totes together. I confirmed and asked if they were sold as a set. At that point, I was told the smaller totes were actually $20 each, totaling $80. I explained that another identical large tote with four mini totes was displayed the same way and priced the same, and that the individual items were not tagged. A manager was called over, and she stated that the items were not a set and would need to be purchased individually. Given the confusion caused by the store's display and pricing, I politely asked if a discount could be offered. The manager responded by laughing sarcastically and stating that discounts are only given on damaged merchandise. She then abruptly asked if I wanted the items or not. I chose to purchase only the large tote since it was priced the same as the smaller ones. Afterward, I returned to the aisle to retrieve another large tote for the same reason. What was most upsetting about this experience was not the pricing decision itself, but the dismissive and unprofessional way I was treated. I felt that my concerns were not taken seriously, no apology was offered for the misleading display, and instead I was made to feel as though I was the problem. As a Black man, I could not help but feel that I was viewed as aggressive or as someone trying to "get over," rather than as a customer simply pointing out a legitimate store error. I strongly believe that had I been treated without bias, this situation would have been handled with an apology and a more respectful explanation, rather than sarcasm and dismissal. I hope Gabe's takes this feedback seriously and reviews both the pricing practices and the conduct of the employees involved. I would appreciate knowing how this issue will be addressed to ensure all customers are treated with respect and fairness. Thank you for your time and attention. Sincerely,

Some of their clothing are still cheaply made but you can't beat 5$ flannel pj's for holiday gifts :) and of course I got some for myself too! I also love their thick cozy socks. Depending on what you shop for there it could be good or bad I guess. I was here on a weekend and it was extremely crazy. There were 35 people in front of me. I'm not over exaggerating. I did count LOL. I was in line probably for about like 10 minutes, so that wasn't bad. I would probably avoid going here on the weekends. Possibly avoid during the holidays in general. Always check out the clearance section, because you can find shirts for as low as two dollars which is awesome. Especially for my growing toddler. There are a ton of employees that work here which is awesome but need some training. The cashiers were super nice. Nicer than the ones on the floor. They were not mean directly towards me but it's not hard to hear conversation among themselves about work and the store in general.
