I am writing to formally report a serious and disturbing incident involving a Gap Factory employee,…read moreTierra Sherman, that occurred yesterday at the Holyoke Mall in Holyoke, Massachusetts. My minor child, who is employed at another department store within the mall, was harassed, confronted, and illegally recorded by this Gap Factory employee while Ms. Sherman was actively working her shift. This interaction was completely unprovoked and inappropriate. Due to the severity of the incident, Holyoke Police were called and official reports have been filed. The encounter was extremely traumatizing for my child. As a parent, I am deeply troubled that this type of conduct occurred in a professional retail environment and was carried out by an employee representing your company. It is especially concerning given that this employee has a child of similar age, yet demonstrated a complete disregard for the emotional and legal implications of her actions. Charges will be pursued, and this matter is being taken very seriously. I am requesting that Gap Factory conduct an immediate internal investigation and take appropriate corrective action. No minor -- employee or customer -- should be subjected to harassment or illegal recording while in a public retail space. Please confirm receipt of this complaint and advise on the steps your company intends to take.

This store itself is large and has the typical items you would find at any other location. The difference between this location and others is that the shopping experience here is completely different. Every time I shop here I am reminded about how much I actually don't like coming in. The store is typically packed with people, the store is usually disorganized, many items are damaged, and the staff is often rude. For these reasons I prefer to shop at the store in Hadley. Overall, this could be a decent store if it got a bit more organized and the staff had a better attitude. I hope that the next time I come in this shop is doing better.

The shipping label clearly says that items can be returned to the store in 60 days. I was in a hurry to get to a doctor's appointment so didn't argue the point. I had just returned an item bought on the same day from the Gap with no problem. Please educate your staff on the return policy. I'm not going back for $5.99. I think I'll mail them back to the president of Old Navy and let him know that they need to train their staff better.
