This place has wonderful food a very large menu, and some very innovative food options. The service is also top notch...they are so friendly and welcoming. I had not been there in a while. I went recently and I'll make it a point to go again soon. This is one local gem absolutely worth supporting!!

This place is a hidden gem! Amazing food, amazing service. Everything is made from scratch and it shows! Can't wait to go back! 10 out of 10 stars!

The owner of this restaurant is why their is still faith in humanity... The venue is small and cozy with quiet music played. The tables are decorated and stocked fully with everything you need. The specials are hand written and are the perfect adder to the existing menu. The waitress, who is the owner, is so polite and respectful. She goes above and beyond and makes the 10-15 dollar plates worth every penny. I have been here a handful of times and have never had one complaint. * note, upon knowing my friend had his b day the day we visited; she added a candle. AMAZING!

Great food, great service at this family owned business tucked into the local neighborhood. The blueberry pancakes were so fluffy with a perfect crisped edge that made it so much better then other pancakes I have enjoyed before. Also the kielbasa cheddar omelette was stuffed full of kielbasa and made this a unique meat option you just don't see often at restaurants and worth the try. Also my family enjoyed the cafe extra special breakfast plate made of eggs, sausage, bacon, ham, potatoes and toast. Highly recommend trying if you have not been here before and to revisit if you have before.

Their stuffed French toasts and their lemon ricotta pancakes sound so yummy. I called ahead to make sure they have dining available and to check their time for hours for today. They are open until 2 PM, that's the last that they'll take orders. They did remind me that they only are allowed 25% capacity and that they had a few tables ready. We're not quite ready to eat just yet, but we will be soon. The woman that answered the phone was extremely friendly and warm. She sounded so sweet. The same woman that answered the call waited on us, she's so genuinely sweet, quite amiable and so polite and attentive too. They have a lot of carry out orders ahead of us, warned us the food may take a while. The guy working in the back as solo. They have broccoli and cheddar quiche with fruit, tomato and basil soup and smoked kielbasa, cheese and veggies. We ordered the Boursin cheese omelet, 1 lemon ricotta pancake for $5 (2 for $8). I also got 1 lemon ricotta pancake. I ended up getting the scramble with spinach, feta, zucchini, yellow squash, mushrooms and a cup the Hungarian mushroom soup. The Hungarian soup came out first while we wait for the our food. It's chock full of fresh mushrooms, top to bottom even. It's a colorful and well seasoned creamy broth. The flavors perfect. The waitress put some classic music in the background. Since we are dining solo, she said we could change the station to whatever we like. The lemon ricotta pancake is thick, but super light and fluffy. The lemon glaze is so lemony and fresh and fantastic. The pancake is a bit dense for me, but it's still good. It's like a giant ooey gooey plate sized donut. The scramble is good, nice proportion blend of spinach, mushrooms and zucchini. Side of red skins and green peppers are perfectly cooked and nicely seasoned too. The marble rye and the pumpernickel toasts are nicely toasted. It looks and tastes like a good artisan toast. They use fresh ingredients for their dishes, except the deli sliced Turkey for their Rueben. The woman that waited on us was absolutely lovely, so kind and genuinely nice.

This place is so tucked away and hidden and unassuming, you'd really miss it if you weren't looking out for it. I can't say much about the ambiance and the sleepy decor but the service, the attentiveness and hospitality makes you feel so special and welcomed. This place is certainly buoyed by locals and you can tell their patrons are regulars but I'm so happy we decided to pop in on a Sunday for brunch. Their menu is not extensive, but what they do offer, all of it sounds delectable. I asked our waitress me what was in the meat trio omelette and she basically lulled me into submission in her description of how they prepared the omelette. I ordered that while my dapper date ordered the caramel apple crunch pancakes, his litmus test for any new brunch place is pancakes. Zero regrets. The pancakes were some of the fluffiest I've ever seen and he appropriately described them as "a bite of an apple orchard." My omelette was so savory, meaty, and flavorful. I tend to lean towards savory items and this hit the spot. I can't wait to try more of their items. A few things to note, - they are small and it's seat yourself. We didn't have to wait for a table but consider yourself warned - don't expect fancy; if you're trying to impress a date, the food will do all the impressing for you. - I took terrible food photos here...don't let that fool you. Such a cute and cozy brunch spot! Has a country "homey" type feel. Very tiny with not very many tables...only 12 total. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is delicious! I came here with 2 other friends on a Sunday around 12:00pm and didn't have to wait to be seated. We were lucky because every table was full and the groups of people that came in after us had to wait. Our waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable of the menu specials. Not very many vegetarian or gluten free options so I opted for a veggie/Florentine omelet minus cheese with skillet potatoes. Food came out hot and tasted fresh. Loved how crispy the potatoes were! The hazelnut coffee was a very good medium roast. Coffee was refilled without having to ask and the prices were fair for the quantity of food served. At the center of each table there is a tiny book. Ours table had a book of inspiring quotes and poems. Very unique and different.

Wow!!!! I cannot believe this place has been around for 29years and today was my first time trying it out! Their stuffed French toast is on point!! Large portions too! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted so warmly by the host/waitress! Cannot wait to go back to try everything on the menu!! 5/5 recommend to check it out!! :)

Since this was our first visit we didn't know what to expect but the reviews looked good. We arrived to a packed house and I was surprised how small and crammed it was inside. Dumpy is tree he word is use to describe the inside. Peeling paint and stained ceilings. Ventilation system look like it was straight out of the 70s and never maintained since then. I never thought I'd have to worry about Legionnaires disease but this is the place that stuff like that starts in. Tired, old and dingy inside. I'm not opposed to dive bars and restaurants, in fact I love them but Boodles paints themselves as upscale dining with prices to support that. It's anything but. The tables are crammed very close together and you can't help but bump into the people dining next to you to get to your table. I've been in small, intimate restaurants before with the same type of tight configurations but this was almost ridiculous. We ordered a round of drinks. A Cosmopolitan for me and an Old Fashioned for the boyfriend. The people next to us had a group of 6 and they mentioned they have been waiting for almost 2 1/2 hours for their main course. That was another bad sign. Our drinks arrived and were very lackluster. All you could taste was booze which isn't a bad thing if you were ordering it straight or just on the rocks but a steakhouse like Boodles should know how to make a quality Cosmo and Old Fashioned. We ordered the bread service which doesn't come with dinner and was an additional $6. Nothing to write home about even though they claim it's their homemade sourdough. Personally I didn't feel it was worth six dollars. We each got a Caesar salad and while the salad was a nice portion it was lacking in flavor and very little dressing. We waited for our waitress to come and check on us to ask for a side of additional dressing but she never came around. We ate the salad and finished our round of drinks. I was already skeptical on ordering a main course because everything up until this point had been a miss. Against my better judgment I ordered their signature item: Steak Diane prepared table side. My boyfriend ordered the 16 ounce ribeye. Both entrées come with a side of their lyonnaise potatoes. While we waited for our entrées we each ordered a glass of the house Cabernet. They do give a generous pour so that was a plus. After waiting almost an hour they started to prepare the Steak Diane. It was cool to watch them prepare it table side and after waiting almost an hour I was happily hungry with anticipation. I wish I could say it was halfway decent but it was overcooked. I ordered my steak medium rare in hopes that if it does come out a little more than medium rare it's still pink and flavorful. It was grey inside with no pink at all. Even the sauce it was cooked and was devoid of flavor. How is it possible with all the butter and the garlic they were using it was still lackluster? My boyfriend did say his steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and was excellent. The lyonnaise potatoes were also tasty. This was the best part of the entire dining experience other than leaving. After our waitress came back to check on us I told her I was not happy with my main course and that I would like to send it back. She asked if I wanted something else and I said no thank you I'll just take the check. They did take my steak off the bill since I had only tried one bite. My boyfriend had his steak packaged up to go. We just wanted to get out of there at that point. What was surprising is nobody seemed to care or even inquire what they could do better to improve the situation. Every staff member we encountered was very nonplus which makes me think this is not an isolated incident. After paying our bill we walked by a group of people coming in for dinner. They asked us how everything was and I said well we are leaving and if you leave now you can save yourself three hours of your time only to be disappointed.
