The only thing I was adamant about getting this trip home was a scoop of superman ice cream. It's a Michigan thing. Finding a spot that serves it in the winter was tricky, but this spot got the job done. Also ordered a couple of peanut butter cookies for my mom and she said they were decent. I will be back for another scoop whenever I'm in town. The building is...interesting but I get that it's just a walk in spot.

I got cookies to go. I had to get a his and hers bags because I picked the ones I wanted.. lol .. the cookies are delicious yum yum. He explained every flavor and we talked about what they had in them and I was able to make decisions. Very hard Decisions because was there are lots of cookies and very good flavors. I think my fav chocolate with sea see salt.. yum .. ambience was like a bakery with ice cream and cookies and cakes . Very fun. I will be going back and the cookies were delicious and now I'm at home having my own cookies and milk on a nice fall night perfect.

Easy to order online, and just like the location in St. Clair Shores, this spot is cute and filled with a variety of tasty treats. Support local and visit this lovely shop!

I've found my new favorite place for sweets! Detroit cookie company was a 10/10 from the moment we stepped in the door until the moment we left the parking lot. The building itself is really cute and inviting and when we walked in we were greeted with the most sincere and warm welcome. There are so many options to explore. They have ice cream, amazing cake slice varieties, cheese cakes, brownies/blondies (I did see a GF option, too!), cinnamon rolls, and a big selection of cookies! It was really clean inside and set up really well so you could see everything they have to offer. I opted for 2 XL cookies- one was the XL Chocolate Chunk cookie and another was the XL Brownie Cheesecake Stuffed cookie. We also got 2 cinnamon rolls. I mean this when I say I give them all a 10/10. I loved the cookies so much, but I am most impressed by the cinnamon rolls. I am a really tough critic when it comes to cinnamon rolls. I have actually never had one from a bakery or store that I really liked very much/ they're all really usually dry, burnt, or over baked and the icing isn't ever spot-on to me. I always tell my husband how disappointing cinnamon rolls that we've tried are but these ones blew me away. 10/10 I have never had a better cinnamon roll in my life. And that's saying a lot! I can't wait to come back here and try more from their menu. Amazing experience and I can't recommend it enough. The staff were above and beyond with customer service as well!

Amazing cookies, we had a large cookie order for a work event, individually wrapped, great selection (including gluten free!). Everyone remarked that this was their absolute favorite cookie place. Super convenient ordering, and prompt service. I'm so glad we ordered from Detroit Cookie Company! Great location to pick them up from in Ferndale. The images of the store looked really cute too. Thank you!

More sweets baby! Friendly vibe and great location. I can't remember which cookies I tried (check the photo) but they have a crazy selection and all the ones I did try were great! Diabetes run in my family so I try to limit my visits lol but a must try if you want something sweet. That side parking lot can get a lil tricky but other that that, no complaints.

I'm a bit torn on this one. I have seen these cookies on instagram over the years and have heard of them community wide as well. This has been on my cookie bucket list so we had some time after the zoo. True, the cookies were very fresh and very delicious. We had the peanut butter cookie, a sprinkle cookie with brownie bits, a blue sprinkle cookie filled with brownie and cheesecake, and a peanut and jelly blondie. The cookies were good. They were soft, the family really loved the stuffed one. For me, the blondie was everything. It was so ooey, gooey, tasted like the perfect PB and J sano got mixed with a dessert. Honestly, I would return for that alone. I liked the choices. I would love to try their cake. I liked that they had parking, it made it easy to pick some cookies up for dessert on the way home to making dinner. I did not love the prices. It was almost $20 for a blondie and three cookies. The cookies were really small for that price. I know if we bought more it might have saved us a little but being a new customer I wanted to try the food first. We also did not love the customer service. The person helping us was not as friendly as I would have expected and a bit argumentative. Perhaps it was a long day, and very hot outside, but we were a bit put off the attitude. We love local businesses, want to support them and frequent them but it is hard to do so if someone is rude, especially since there is a lot to competition out there for cookie customers. Overall I do want to come back and try more. I know the family enjoyed the treats.

Detroit Cookie Company moldy Banana Bread

As a test of a new spot I ordered a dozen cookie sampler and banana bread slice for a friend. I am sorry to say, not worth the price. I looked for instructions to complete the baking process. No instructions found. The cookies were grainy, okay for anyone who like raw cookie dough. By the next morning, the banana bread had green furry mold on the corner. See photo. I called the restaurant to report the mold. No one answered the phone. I left a voice mail about the moldy banana bread. No response. It made me question how long it's been since I ate had a cookie.

So much to choose from the selection of cookies, cake slices and ice cream. Some unique flavors were unique to Michigan, Superman, which is a combination of colors - red, blue and yellow and overall was an indescribable set of flavors. We decided on try a 7 different cookies - big three w/ potato chips, cherry and chocolate, the pb volcano, Superwoman cheesecake, baklava, the raspberry cheesecake Oreo and the banana pudding. Also choose the pistachio ice cream although I should have gotten the lemon cheesecake flavor. All of the cookies were good but the PB Volcano was our favorite. Will definitely be back to grab some more !

I must give this place 5 stars for the decor, customer service and vibes . The variety of desserts in this smaller space is insane so I stuck to the traditional chocolate chunk since it was my first time here. The cookies are too sweet for my liking but if you have a sweet tooth this is the place for you ! Follow my IG: viewsandmenus

So, I didn't register, but of course I made a purchase well, purchases. I bought 1 oatmeal raisin cookie, 1 chocolate cupcake, 2 Blake's donuts annnnd 1 scoop of butter pecan ice cream in a waffle cone. It was very nice when I walked in, the space was clean, the deliciousness was beautifully displayed. It was good to see so many of Blake's Apple Orchard items for sale here. It was kind of quiet, well after the family (father? and 2 children left) nice place to sit and enjoy your goodies, scroll, etc. When I came on Yelp to write my review, I noticed there's one in Grosse Pointe, MI. Glad to know there's one closer that I can return to visit. Ohh, I almost forgot, the ice cream was Really good, I didn't taste like a diet fail at all. The Blake's donut, well you know... aren't they all good? The cupcake was light and the icing was perfect. Now, let me tell you about their oatmeal raisin cookie (my favorite by the way) Man, was that cookie good. All of the goodies were excellent. Nothing was too sweet or off. I had to go back to go get my three croissants that I wanted ffirst visit. I got three loaves of the poppyseed, lemon bread, three chocolate chunk, banana bread, coffee cake, two breakfast sandwiches and three chocolate croissants. $64 + $19.50 The croissant loaf looks interesting, it' comprises of six croissant dough to make the loaf. The breakfast sandwich biscuit is quite good. The biscuit is a bit dry, but still flaky. The egg is light and fluffy and thick too. The coffee cake, lemon poppy seed, breakfast sandwich and chocolate croissant were all yummy. The lemon iced frosting is prominent and good. Not a huge fan of the nuts. The chocolate croissant is really good. Chunky blocks of chocolate. The croissant is super light and flaky. The Coffee cake is crumbly, slightly dry, but great with tea or coffee. The chocolate chunk is just okay, not my jam.

That bright sign on Woodward isn't just a place to grab a dozen; it's part of the city's DNA. Growing up, my grandmother went there all the time. And when I say all the time, I mean ALL the time. Weekends, random afternoons, "just because" mornings -- Dutch Girl was the move. Some of my favorite childhood memories are walking in and being hit with that sweet, warm smell of fresh donuts and seeing the cases stacked with every kind you could imagine. It felt like magic as a kid. The donuts themselves? Classic, no-frills, done-right Detroit goodness. Soft, fresh, and generously glazed or filled -- the kind of donuts that don't try to be trendy or over-the-top. They don't need to. They've been holding it down for generations. That's the beauty of a true staple: consistency. You always knew exactly what you were getting, and it was always good. If I'm being honest, the only reason I'm not rushing there now is because I had SO many of their donuts growing up that I might have maxed out my lifetime quota . When you've had that much of something, you need a little break. But that doesn't take away from what they are to the city. Dutch Girl Donuts represents Detroit pride -- resilience, tradition, and community. It's one of those places that connects generations. My grandmother loved it, I grew up on it, and new families are still making memories there today. In a city that's all about loyalty and roots, Dutch Girl stands tall. Forever a Detroit classic.
