I saw their post on Instagram that they had a Dubai Chocolate flavor for the week, so I decided to make the trip to try it. I got that one and the Passion Fruit--both were tasty! The puffs are generously filled and not overly sweet, which I really appreciated. The regular puffs cost around $3, while the special flavors are about $4 each. I do think they're a bit expensive, and though yummy, they're not quite worth that much for a small piece of cream puff. As soon as we walked in we were greeted, and the lady behind the counter was super nice and friendly! It was super clean and we liked how the display case showed the puffs and their description so you have an idea of what to expect. My man really enjoyed the passion fruit cream puff, it had a lot of flavor and the passion fruit tasted fresh and didn't taste artificial at all. I really enjoyed the Aloha Puff and reminded me of a similar dessert from back home in Hawaii. It's similar to Liliha Bakery's cream puff from Hawaii. It wasn't overly sweet, the macadamia frosting was smooth and buttery and paired so well with the chocolate filling! The cream puffs were filled so generously, you got cream in every bite and they aren't small either! There was only one staff member there who had to take orders and make them. The wait time was longer than I expected because of that and also I thought everything was pre-made and they just needed to put them into a box. However, I also saw the staff adding cream into the puffs, so the good thing was, it made the cream puffs more fresh. I got the 6-pc choose-your-own box with the original, whipped, salted caramel, nutella, eclair, and the Aloha. My favorite was the whipped. It was FULL of cream and so tasty. The sweetness of the cream was just right for me. My second favorite was probably the eclair. I was a little disappointed by the Aloha. It cost $0.50 on top of the choose-your-own price, but I didn't think it was anything special. I didn't enjoy it as much as the other flavors. While I did like the taste of the cream puffs, there could be some improvement to the texture of the cream. It wasn't smooth enough. The original was good but my sister and I loved the subtle flavor of the ube. It was also the richest color of purple imaginable which was super fun. The pastry was light and fluffy, while the cream inside was dense and delicious. The service was quick and friendly while the location was clean and bright. Tam's has fulfilled all of my wildest cream puff dreams! It's been so difficult to find cream puffs filled with real custard and then I stumbled upon this yummy shop. We purchased a pack of 6. You can choose between whipped cream or custard (we chose all custard for ours). The flavors we chose: chocolate eclair, the Hawaiian, salted caramel, strawberry (came with a yummy strawberry compote type topping), and two of the original. I am not kidding when I say every single one was absolutely mind blowing and delicious! The flavors were so beautiful and they aren't shy with the filling. The original of course is amazing and will always be a go to but I think I'll have dreams about the strawberry and chocolate eclair. My husband is still talking about the Hawaiian (macadamia nut frosting with chocolate custard inside) and the salted caramel. The service was amazing, too! One of the nicest ladies we've come across in a while. Very helpful and personable. So glad we came here! This will be our go to treat to take over to get togethers. I was the only patron in the store and the woman behind the counter was kind and answered my questions. Based on the filling and topping options, I opted for the eclair cream puff which came with vanilla filling and their coconut cream puff which came with chocolate filling. Can I just say, "Wow!" We drove the distance to get here because Celeste T. mentioned the Hawaiian Coco Puff with Chantilly frosting. As we say in Honolulu, this was, "Ono!" The frosting is buttery with a hint of salt. The pastry puff is light and airy. The chocolate filling is smooth and creamy. All those together, make a magical treat! Pleased to know they have gluten free options. I tried the GF apple Puff and honestly could not tell the difference in pastry. If you were one of their OG's picking up from their house, I know you're just as happy as I am to see them open up shop! My brother and sister in law would get these all the time and insisted I should try them. SO bomb! I love a good cream puff, especially when their filling/dough ratio is even enough. My favorite two that I cannot stop eating (like I drove 45 mins to come grab these LOL) is their Hawaiian Coco Puff which has a Chantilly frosting on top (can I buy a bag of that please?) with a chocolate filling and Taro which has a taro filling and top that doesn't taste like a frosting and is good either way ;) They have weekly flavors of the week on top of their normal flavors they have which can be seen on their IG and FB (possibly their website but I didn't check so don't quote me). The cream puffs are absolutely delicious. The problem is they are not open for lunch. I don't know why they start at 3 PM, that's a little bit weird. Maybe it's a staffing issue. I don't know how they expect to sell mini cream puffs if you can't get in there. I think they also close early. The sign also says if they sell out they close. So you can't start out expecting to drop in and get a cream puff. You may or may not. That's my biggest complaint. read more
