It's a warm, friendly environment with great service. I'd say that the ambiance and service are a 5 and the food is probably 3.5.

Had an AMAZING meal at The Bistro! Our server Wendy was so kind and personable. Our group especially loved the filet mignon and the rainbow trout. Ambiance was super homey and warm.

Best meat loaf I've ever had! All the food was top notch and service was great!

We were in town to stay at the Sky Ridge Yurts (review separately) I had called over a month ago to try and make a reservation. I left a voicemail but was not called back (not good first impression!) but they are upfront that they primarily cater to their hotel guests (rightfully so). We had decided to have early dinner in town before driving up to our yurt (good move)! We popped into the Everett Hotel around 4:45pm, were warmly greeted! We asked about dinner, they had table available but were told there was reservation for that table at 6:45 (no problem!). The hotel is in an old bank and is very cool! The dining room/bar area is cozy with nice decor. The bartender (Eddie) waited on us and is fantastic! The menu is small but well thought out! Eddie pointed out a couple of his favorites (trout and meatloaf, which we did order). Eddie made me an amazing dirty ice cold martini! My wife got a bottle of nice wine ( since we were able to take leftover wine with us). We got the delicious bacon wrapped, blue cheese stuffed dates that had honey drizzle over them for appetizer! All the food and drinks were great, evidently during a restroom visit my wife told Eddie it was my birthday so dinner was capped off with a delicious bread pudding with birthday candle. Eddie politely reminded us around 6:30 that the table was needed at 6:45, I was still drinking my birthday dessert delicious espresso martini, my wife her wine. We settled our bill and Eddie escorted us to their really cool roof top area to finish our drinks, the roof top was so cool with fire pit and views. A great experience with wonderful food and great, great service (thank you, Eddie!). We will try and return and stay at hotel!

I want to start by commending this place on their service. They have the best customer service here. The servers were so on top of it and very friendly the entire time. I'd come back simply for that alone. I was, however, a little disappointed in my dish. I got the huevos rancheros. First, the eggs on there were hard fried. I mean very hard fried. They forgot my la crema. I didn't even know it was supposed to come with it until my wife remarked how good it was on hers but when I talked about the chorizo being tasty we realized they forgot the chorizo on hers! They brought us out a side of la crema and more chorizo. Then the avocado was not good. No oil or fat content to it. Maybe it was that avocado because even though my wife's was like that as well, she got a side of avocado and that one was good. I also felt the tiny ramekin of salsa was not enough for me. It needed more. I could nitpick other things about the dish but these were the main reasons I didn't love it. We did end up getting a Nutella crepe for dessert with bananas and it was awesome! They did do a great job on that.

Get the trout cakes - they are amazing! We got the meatloaf and the prime ribs which were also both so delicious

The shop itself is adorable, clean, and had a steady flow of customers. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I ordered an iced dirty chai latte, which is my go-to whenever I'm trying a new coffee shop because it's a pretty reliable way to compare places. It was good, and exactly what I was hoping for. I also tried the cinnamon roll. It was tasty, but pretty standard. Looking back, I think I'd try one of their other bakery items next time. My friend ordered one of their homemade biscuits. It took quite a while to come out--around 15 to 20 minutes--and several other customers were served before we received it. It honestly felt like the biscuit may have been forgotten, which was a little disappointing. Overall, though, we had a pleasant experience. Nothing was overpriced, the staff was kind, and it's the type of local place I always encourage travelers to support. While there are a couple of other coffee shops in Bryson City I'd probably try before returning, I still think La Dolce Vita Bakery is worth a visit so you can form your own opinion. Every café has busy days, and one experience doesn't define a business. If you're looking for a cozy local spot for coffee and a pastry while exploring downtown Bryson City, it's definitely worth stopping in.

I tried to go back this year, and am so appalled by the customer service (or lack thereof) that I will now give it 0 stars, so settled for two since I can't do two and a half. Yes, the food and ambiance were wonderful in 2025. I tried to book another afternoon tea party and called a month and a half in advance. This was to celebrate multiple birthdays with a group of busy moms so wanted to get it on the calendar. No one called me back despite the voicemail saying that we would hear back "promptly." I left two more messages in a span of two, three weeks and still nothing. I even emailed, no response. Finally, a friend stopped by in person and was told that the cafe would be short staffed the weekend we wanted the reservation for so the manager needs to see if there are enough people working before confirming. Okay....but why wouldn't you call back to tell me that? Our requested reservation is tomorrow and I still have not heard back from anyone. This is abysmal customer service. As mentioned, food was good but not good enough to treat potential customers like this. Hard pass from now on and will not go back or recommend. *Editing to respond to Victoria -- those were the dates I called and left voicemails. Perhaps there was a phone issue on your end, but I did not even get a missed call. My friend who stopped by in person spoke to a manager. She had to go by twice due to the manager not being available the first time. I also did not get an email response.

This was one of very few small businesses that had yet to reopen when we visited. So we wanted to stop in and show our support by buying some gifts and a cup of tea. Still in the process of reestablishing, their new space is coming along nicely. Lots of pretty jewelery, trinkets, crystals, various gifts and even a small selection of plants. It appears that multiple talented artisans sell their work here. I've wanted a Rose of Jericho for a long time, but had resisted buying one so far. There are reports that much of what is available on the market has been poached from wildlife. But when one of the owners noticed my interest in them, he told me how when they were finally allowed to come back after the hurricane, they opened the door to their flooded shop to see all the Rose Of Jerichos alive and floating in the water. "I knew right then that we were going to be ok." I was sold and will cherish mine, with this sentiment attached. I also bought myself a new little Pilea for my Fairy Garden, some beautiful earrings, and a handful of gifts for my loved ones. I snagged a hot tea as I paid for purchases and then used their clean restroom before we headed out into the wilderness for the day. This seems to be another favorite amongst the Appalachian Trail pack, and I can see why. Im looking forward to coming back later in the season and seeing their progress in rebuilding.
