I was advised to make a stop at The Chocolate Tree during my stop in Beaufort as I needed to try the excellent chocolate. The rumor I heard was that Tom Hanks loved the chocolate here and the box of chocolates he ate in Forrest Gump were replaced with chocolates from The Chocolate Tree. The Chocolate Tree has a front entrance with street parking out front and another entrance in the back with a parking lot, just make sure you park in the correct lot. When I was there most of the customers came in knowing what they wanted and were in and out. I was a little overwhelmed with all of the choices. I got some assortment boxes. They also sell the chocolate by the piece in the cases as well as fudge and other items like pralines and toffee. If you are in Beaufort make sure to stop by here to try the chocolates. I rally loved the peanut butter cups.

I absolutely love the chocolate from here . Omg you gotta try the reeces pieces cups . They have white , chocolate and dark chocolate, ,to die for . I also got the pecan roll and Its very addicting and delicious . The sour patches are also amazing . No wonder Forest Gump said lifes like a box of chocolate . They filmed the Forest Gump movie here and its where he got his chocolates in the movie . They have the little white boxes to and of course , I bought those too . ill be back , great staff too . Notice my big chocolate Viagra pic .. They say chocolate can be better than sex . not in my book though , maybe when im 80.

We loooved the chocolate tree! I think the best way to describe the chocolate tree is that it strikes the perfect balance of being accessible to someone whose idea of chocolate is something from a grocery store checkout line and someone who knows where their beans came from, the Snickers to the snobs. We were in the area for a month and came to the chocolate tree at least 4 times. Their chocolate is smooth and creamy and has great flavor. We picked up several Easter treats and let me just say Reese's would be in serious trouble if Chocolate Tree ever got into mass production. Their peanut butter egg is peanut butter cup perfection. The dark and milk chocolate versions are both spectacular. My wife loves the dark chocolate mints. And all the treats are very cutely decorated for the holidays. Also, they'll give you a free chocolate sand dollar if you take a trolley ride in town!

They have both prepared foods and foods that they make to order. I love that you can take food to go, sit inside or outside. It is in a strip with ample parking. Definitely follow their social media so you can see various specials they have going. I have yet to try something. I don't absolutely love. Do yourself a favor and try this place!

THIS IS MY FOOD WONDERLAND…read more My first time coming across a concept like this where there's ready-made food, cafe, pantry goods, catering options, and more. This is the second time I've been to The Kitchen and I don't even live in South Carolina. I bought around $200 worth of delicious pulled pork baked potatoes, toad pizza, pasta sauce, lasagna, oatmeal crème cookie, peanut butter pie, chicken spaghetti squash, wraps, salads, sides, meatloaf, and more! This is the perfect solution to not wanting to cook but still getting a delicious hot meal ready for the whole family. They have everything in their fridges and freezers, the only issue is trying to keep it all in-stock all the time because the food is just flying off the shelves. Prices may seem steep at first but one "full" container is easily a meal for two people and at around $20, that's a typical price. The convenience, quality, quantity, and variety of items prevails over the cost. I've tried a good number of items and everything has been delicious. Not salty, not too sweet, not heavy or greasy...just perfectly homemade and well-balanced. The cooking instructions are all exactly on point as well. The Kitchen is what every city needs, well-priced, nutritious food that is ready to grab and go. Everyone working inside is very nice, all items are clearly displayed, signs are easy to read, enough space that it doesn't get crowded everywhere. Don't leave without picking up an oatmeal crème pie.
