The Circle is a locally owned resturant. The food is fantastic, large selection, and large portions. The atmosphere is great as well. If you're looking for a home cooked meal I highly recommend you visit. Even if it looks packed tables turn over quick. It's worth the wait. read more

Visit was Thursday afternoon around 3 o'clock one person in the restaurant and another table to followed. We each had unsweetened tea, which was very nice. Our server/waiter was very prompt, accommodating, and followed up multiple times. Outside, the building doesn't look like much but the inside is very clean, open and inviting. With a few TVs playing for entertainment. The overhead vents were clean with no mold on the overhead tiles. Wife ordered the club with fries and myself the lasagna entrée with garlic bread and a side of fries. Club sandwich was perfect prepared and the fries absolutely delicious. They were crispy, hot, soft in the center, and lightly seasoned. The garlic bread perfectly seasoned with a crispy soft center. The lasagna with good with only a minor critique. It could have been improved with additional Italian seasoning, more ricotta cheese, and the ground meat seasoned while cooked in the skillet. Overall, a very nice visit. The wife and I both agreed we would return and try another dish. I recommend. Cheers! read more

The flounder was amazing. You can tell the difference in the taste when you are close to water. It was laid over a bed of lettuce that added a great texture. The hush puppies had a hint of sugar that made me order a extra side. The staff was friendly and helpful as I met challenges with my grandson. This can easily be a hometown favorite restaurant. read more

My wife & I stopped in here on our way home from our week long vacation. We visited Scranton, Pa, Philadelphia and Little Egg Harbor, NJ during that time, visiting a lot of friends, relatives and former classmates. So, we needed to put some food in our empty stomachs and the Circle II Restaurant looked like a good place to do just that. Kathey ordered the hamburg steak, smothered in gravy and onions, along with mashed potatoes and some red beets. It was a huge serving! I chose the chicken stirfry and that was huge as well. Both entrees were served piping hot and full of flavor. My stirfry had a tad too much teriyaki sauce for me but it was really good. We decided to take a chance on the Circle Restaurant because we have a good restaurant by the same name back home in Ohio. Food and service were great! Restaurant was clean and filled with friendly locals. We had seen comments on here about the restaurant being dirty, but this was absolutely not the case while we were here. I had the country fried steak and my husband ordered the corned beef hash. We highly recommend both! I wish i would have taken pics of before, but my husband cleaned his plate and I barely had any leftovers. We will definitely be back on our next vacation. read more

One thing for sure, you definitely get the small town/city feeling when you stop here. It was a Sunday afternoon and the place was nearly packed. Walking in, I was seated immediately and my drink order was taken as I sat down. I have to mention that I asked for Lemonade and was told that they were out, so I settle for Apple juice. When the apple juice was brought to me, I was disappointed, the cup was maybe 10-12 ounces, and it was filled up or accompanied with ice. I ordered safe bets, I was curious about the chili cheese burger and it didn't disappoint. Very nice portion size of fries and a healthy size beef patty. The hamburger was hand made not a frozen patty and the chili was homemade. The wings were fried well but that's all I can really say. There wasn't any seasoning on them, they were just covered with sweet chili sauce. My biggest concern was the men's bathroom, it looked like fungus or mold was forming above the sink and like it hadn't been mopped all weekend. I did get to watch a movie while dining, the live action lion king was put on but the speakers are located in back of the restaurant and the volume was low. With the noise from conversations being held, reading the subtitles are your best bet. Overall, my experience was okay. My waitress was nice and I had a few people come ask me if I needed anything. There are paintings on the wall for sale as well, overpriced in my opinion but you might think definitely. This is one of those spots where you just know what you're getting. So sad for this place and lack of customer service. Today after church a party of 6, we came in and was told to sit anywhere we want. As we looked around there wasn't anywhere to sit so we took a small table and combined it with another table to give us 6 chairs. We saw the emergency fire exit and that we would be in the way. A young man rudely says we cannot have the table there because it's a fire exit and we understood, so we moved the table over to not block the area, to be told we cannot do that either, and that we cannot move a table to accommodate our party, and that we needed to put our table back. Having senior members in our group and being told to seat ourselves and figure it out and then the business getting mad at us for a situation they created was so embarrassing and arrogant. We realized there was no seating for us and tried to accommodate ourselves, but the staff should not get angry and frustrated with us after telling us to seat ourselves. We never got a chance to contribute money to this small restaurant I once use to visit and thought the food was decent. The employees here proved to not be worthy and ensured they made us look like fools in the dining area. We were told to go back and wait at the front, but we decided to leave and was happy hell lost some customers. read more

They serve the best fried chicken in town. I don't care what the sign says at the other place - the Circle's fried chicken beats down anyone else's within 200 miles. My favorite sides are the collard greens, green beans, lima beans, mashed potatoes, and fries. The staff is always super sweet and so I make it a point to visit every time I'm in town. read more

Came here quite a few times when we lived in town for breakfast or lunch. It is a nice locals establishment where the food is plentiful, cheap and fast. The service is excellant. The server frequently checked back and my coffee cup was always full, thank God! I have never been here for dinner so I don't know about that menu. But if it as good as the breakfasts and lunches, I am sure it will be good. Whenever I come back up this way, I will continue to patronize this restaurant. Try it out for yourself! read more

We've been regulars for a few years now. This evening my wife attempted to place an order over the phone. The staff member was very rude, acting as if it was an inconvenience to take the order. The staff member turned the call over to the manager who was equally as rude. A private message was sent, presumably to the owner, through their Facebook page who responded accusing my wife of using could language with the staff, but to feel free to visit the business to talk to him... "the owner." Then the individual blocked her so she couldn't respond. They will never see a dime from us. read more

We decided to try this restaurant for breakfast. It's definitely a "locals spot". Not an issue, but I'm guessing the higher ratings are from friends and family. The staff and service were good. The food was not very good. We had the Mexican Omelet, grits and biscuit, waffles, eggs and bacon. The omelet was okay nothing special. The grits were good but not hot. The biscuit tasted like it was frozen. It didn't taste like a freshly made biscuit. The waffle iron wasn't working so they substituted French toast. It was okay. The coffee was awful. Anyone who says differently is not a true coffee lover! Overall it's a place to get a quick breakfast but not the best breakfast. On the other hand, the lunch/dinner buffet looked appetizing. Note to owner: consider repairing roof leaks and replacing molded ceiling tile. read more

Under new ownership I believe and it is a great improvement. I had breakfast, an omelette, potatoes and a biscuit. Potatoes hot and biscuit fresh. Cheese omelette very good. I know some of the reviews from the past are pretty critical but with fresh paint, nice pictures and better food,it's worth a shot. Service was good. We were in EC to get out of town for a few hours. You know when the parking lot is packed it much be good. Stoped here for lunch. We were greeted warmly and seated. The Buffett and fried. Chicken looked great but we wanted burgers. They were cooked perfectly and the presentation was great. Perfectly melted cheese!!! Ate here the other day and had the meat lovers omelette which covered the entire plate. I wasn't expecting it to be much but it was actually really good and very tasty. Great restaurant with a good breakfast. Seemed really busy this morning. Our drink order was taken right away and the waitress was very polite. The inlet were delish! I had the Mexican omelet with the grits and toast. The coffee was really good too! I think the addition of some fresh jalapeños would have taken the omelet to the next level instead of the pickled ones that were on it. All and all a great local spot! This place was great. Country buffet which scared me at first but was surprising really good. I ate the veggies--cabbage, corn, stuffing, green beans and to die for corn bread with real corn. My mother ate the fried chicken and said it was moist yet crunchy. Service was great as well. I usually don't leave reviews, especially if they aren't positive. Most of the reviews of this place seemed pretty good so we decided to stop by on our way out of town. We placed a takeout order, it was ready fast and the time estimate we were given was accurate. When we got on the road though, we discovered that both of our orders were incorrect and it appears that that most of our order was made with frozen food, just heated up, not house made. Also VERY overpriced. About $20 for two bagel breakfast sandwiches. The staff wasn't particularly friendly either. I would maybe recommend dining in if anything. read more

Stopped here two mornings in a row for breakfast as I was here for work. The coffee is great and they're quick to refill your cup. I got the fried pork and eggs for breakfast. Very good though the bacon was rubbery. The next morning a local convinced me to try the country ham. It was great. Bacon rubbery again but the eggs, toast and coffee were absolute perfection! Waitresses were super nice and the other patrons chatted me up and everyone knows everyone. A great friendly place. read more
